MK vs DCU article in UKs PSW Playstation 3 Mag

I just picked up today at Barnes and Noble this magazine the June 2008 edition which featured on the covers Killzone 2...

Inside this magazine it has two features one on the game itself.. and another on the history of mk games... The article for the mk vs dcu has some information that does state or imply wonder woman is in the game, a arena based on the dc side "Central City" and the character count will be 22(11 on each side)...

The last sentence in the article states some of the DC roster
"More so, we all know when we play mk vs dc we'll play as DC characters. Who can resists batman vs joker or Flash vs Vandal Savage or Wonder Woman vs Darkseid?One things for sure it's going to be Krazy"

So we've got... DC Side - Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Flash, Darkseid, Vandal Savage, Catwoman, Joker ( That leaves 2) MK Side - Scorpion, Sub Zero, Sonya and Shang Tsung ( Leaves 7) Hmmm...

Sounds like their dream fights. Any other cool info we should know? What was said about MK?

I dunno about the mk side of characters... seems the uk mags cover more of the dc side possibly.....

I also purchased the x360 issue 33 that features gears of war 2 on the cover and it also has a small article nothing new.. just "hopefully we will see wonder womand pummel lui kang..."

another thing to add in the psw mag they gave an example of level transitioning... " continue pummlelling even when falling down the side of a skyscrapper"

Those are just dream matches, assumptions, not confirmed characters.

And Central City was pretty much confirmed when Flash was revealed.

I dunno about the assuming part... sounds a little concrete on the statements.... another part in the article talking about "how boon toned down per the dc license and stated how can dc characters kill? dc isnt adverse to waling on the darkside, batman wallows in it and even the reinvented supermand and wonder woman realms are getting realistic and bloody"

Well I believe the UK mag's are pro DC supporters from the theme of the article... because they believe we will all play more of the dc side...

Besides Batman, superman and all othe fighters from those 2 movies/ comics. I don't know much about all these other fighter/heros/vilians. Yes I do know who the Flash, Wonder women and Green lantern are but who are their nemisis?

Who is dooms day? It would kick ass if one of you guyss that knows who they all are would post a pic of them and say what their special powers are.

Kind of a roster with pics.

Thanks Mick-Lucifer thats good info. Always been a diehard Mortal Kombat fan since the first game. I actually helped still a arcade machine from a 7 Eleven when the first game came out " I was like ten", but comic books no. Never read one. Kind of sad to say. I will read that page and get EgeaMacaTed.

Would make sense for Wonder Woman to Vs. Darkseid. In Justice League Heroes cinematic, she wraps her whip around Darkseid saying no one escapes my magical whip.

Vandal savage, would be awesome. I liked his character in Smallville. I'm still pulling for either Manhunter, Captain Marvel, Joker, & Now VS if this is complied to going to, or draw away with the what if?

I know DC has the bigger stars, but I personally plan on playing as MK characters as much as possible. I think the writer of the article was probably a DC fanboy who was fantasizing about possible DC fights.

most likely he was. I'm renting it just to beat down DC heroes and villains using MK characters.

Thanks dude, great update : ) I KNEW IT!!! I called it months ago with stage guessing and I posted Central City(for those who don't know, that's Flash's stage/hometown)

WW is a nobrainer hehe, Vandal Savage surprises me a little bit should be cool and Darkseid is another nobrainer hehe. Should be slamming.

This mag is out now right? I have to go to CVS I think they sell this, I know they sell NP, GP, EGM, Xbox mag and some kind of PSX. How much is it again? Like 6 bucks right?

Yeah, I think they're dream fights too.

I think there will a lot more hereos to come, not villians.

I have to say I am not very impressed with th DC side at the moment. Batman is good, Flash is awesome, Wonder Woman is cool, but if these so called match ups in this article are true, well I'm thoroughly disappointed. May MK whoop their comic asses tho roughly. ^_^

Is it really 11 per side or will there be more characters?

Anyway, thanks for sharing...I'm sure Wonder Woman will be in for sure but I wonder if he's talking about dream fights or are some of those characters like Vandal Savage really going to make it in the roster?

If iconic status counts as much as the creators say it does, I cannot imagine Joker not making it. In any English-speaking country, it would be a hard feat to find anyone under the age of 35 who does not know who the Joker is.
