it says that it s set for release on ps2 in 2004, it is being scrapped and made from bottom up like mkda, (starting all over not using same engine) and is going to be online!

cool
Well, I haven't read the article, and I don't know where they got the info from, but I personally think it's unrealistic that they will make a new engine from scratch in a year PLUS getting some cool stuff (Main Storyline, new characters, characters' personal storylines)...
Maybe by "from scratch" they meant that the storyline is not related to MKDAs...Cause the Dev Team sayed a few times that the engine would be MKDA's (which would make LOTS of sense, since they spent the last few years developing it...and now they would just scrap it?).

Uhhhh, I don't read gaming magz anymore, with the net and all, but I did like PSM back in the day - have the, second, issue, woot woot! . However, uh, what issue was it in? April? Heh, just a thought.
As far as it being true, it's good and bad. A whole new system means another chance at actually getting a deep game. Then agian, from the ground up like DA, the rinkles won't be smoothed out; but should that come into play? MGS was ground up, besides the story line, and it blew the gaming world away. Though, we aint' dealing with Hideo Kojima, nor' a four year development plan. Online sounds fantastic, that's why im not bettig on it. I hope they go back to the HP/HK system. A more technical properties system and a stun/CH system would be very, very 1337, as well. My rant for the day - becuase my spring vacation is over - has come to an end. Peace and love ya'll.

well i'm glad they're using a new engine... am I the only one who thinks the graphics in MKDA arn't really that good? They not really that much better than MK4 (arcade version of course) I mean look at Kano's jaw, it's like 3 polygons! And in the making of video the dev. team is all talking about making good use of polygons... Hah! take away his silly little dagger things on his calves and put those polygons in his freakin' jaw FFS!
I mean the graphics are good, but they should have been incredible. Having an Xbox I'm used to games like Dead or Alive, and i think it sucks that because they made the game for the 3 systems they have to stump the graphics down to PS2 quality just so it can run well on all of them. They should have made the graphics Xbox quality and then stumped them down to go on the other systems.
