Yea, i think thats accurate for Kang. But Raiden could end up being a force of evil. Or maybe Sub Zero. It is really hard to make an accurate assumption at this point.

Lui Kang theory was really out there I know. But Shang tsung could have tricked everyone into thinking he kill kang. but i will drop it.

My money is on rayden. If any of the good guys turn out to be evil then Rayden would be the best choice

i think Baraka is the deceptionist and Mileena is "obsessed with dominating every realm"!!

I think Lui Kang will come back but he will be like a dead zombie type and he will be evil.

Agree. If Rayden will turn out as bad guy and if he'll become deceptor, thing will become more serious and interesting. But I still think that Sub Zero is deceptor. And don't think it's Baraka, because Ed said in interview that story is complex and Deception has multiple meaning.

what about Shaokahn?He can totally have to do with this deception.Baraka was one of his outworld army leaders.Also keep in mind that Sindel was announced to be in the game.She has everything to do with Shaokahn.

i believe yer theory on liu was pretty strong. remmebr johny cage died as wellm but they brought him back. it is completely possible shang showed us all wht we wanted to see. liu may return in an eveil form maybe.

It says in the PSM and from Boon himself that the Deception is not from one or 2 people, the Deception is to be about from everyone (as in there is no trust anymore). It could be anyone from Noob and Subby through to Baraka and Ashra. There is no one person who has anything to do with the decption storyline as in it focus' on them only.. Unless the Dragonking ha something to do with it.

he he my idea.. okay back in deadly alliance sub acts all good for rayden (( sorry if i spelt it wrong )) and trys to prove himself.. what if this was all a show? perhapes the medallion has made sub evil.. like tainted him with power.. so he puts on a show so people will trust him. then wham! he strikes..

We are talking about Mortal Kombat here, where people die as often as they change their underwear. Assuming they wear any.

Anyway, there will probably be lots of deception from either side--Liu Kano, as someone had described--the body of Kano and the soul of Liu Kang, decieving the forces of evil from the inside. Baraka and Mileena, lovers who seem to have turned on each other. No one knows with whom Ermac and Noob Saibot place their alliegance, if with anyone at all. No one will be as they seem in MKD.

In the trailer it says "loyalty" and shows a really quick shot of subzero shooting an ice blast at a female fighter (I'm not sure who it is). This might be very revealing, please have a look for yourselves!

Here we go with that Liu kano craziness again.

That Raiden theory is pretty cool. At least it would make some sense to his MK1 ending (as if most endings have sense anyway...)

if you put things ive said in various threads together, this is a deception i think may occur...

almost all the MK1 characters are still alive...and the importance of the remaining ones are huge...Sub Zero, Scorpion, Kano, Raiden

so I think they will eliminate one of the originals from that game...most notably the two i didnt mention with important roles, Johnny Cage and Sonya...Cage has been killed a million times now so his death wouldnt make much an impact, but how about Sonya?

Sonya I think could be killed along with Jax, simply because an original should be killed to keep the balance of characters from every game (MK3 only had one 1 of its new characters in MKDA while almost all MK1 were there)

Sonya is perfect, im sure Midway has seen the disappointments and gripes about Jax by now, and nearly every fan thinx he has overstayed long enough...

Cyrax used to be a huge bad guy, but his story has gone stale since he became good...perhaps Midway has noticed?

how good a deception would it be, to have Cyrax use Sonya and Jax's trust to survive long enough to make an escape plan...perhaps, Cyrax would turn on the Special Forces, which is quite possibly the least popular clan in the franchise' history...how about him turn on the Special Forces

this would make an impact, it will give him a good story, a stronger bad side that he once had, and make an impact by killing off two of the most prized fighters in gaming, Sonya and Jax...obviously people on here love Sonya, but its perfect that she dies being someone from MK1 has to, and it fits better with her over Johnny Cage

-end the Special Forces
-shake up the gamers with two tragic deaths
-give Cyrax a stronger, better story to represent MK3 with, and go to the roots of how he used to be a souless bad guy
-build up a possible feud with Ermac/Kenshi and Cyrax...because really, those two dont have much of a storyline as it is...and perhaps involve Sektor to take up for Cyrax, maybe like Sektor notices hes still got his bad side...
-create one of the more impactful Deceptions since nobody would expect it

I actually think that is a decent thought...would be nice if they used it...

I really don't mind that Cyrax/Sonya & Jax idea, good job. I have a feeling these are some of the deceptions I've been thinking of.

Shao Kahn & Kano
He might have found a way to place someone else on his throne (Reiko), brainwashed them to think that they are Kahn and take the beating the Deadly Alliance dished out. In Deadly Alliance it also seems like Mavado beats up Kenshi, and then gets the right to kill Kano, maybe Kahn preserved Jarek's body after MK4, and did the same with Jarek, to think he's Kano (movestes where similar, so it could have gone unoticed). This would allow Shao Kahn and Kano to return to Deception as two evil characters searching for something to restore them to power. But both could have their own agendas. Shao Kahn would be unplayable, but would still remain a very strong threat to Earthrealm.

Mileena/Baraka
First off, I just want to say that we may not even see them as enemies in Deception. I have a feeling that it may have been just two nomads sparring in an average day in the life of Baraka and Mileena. But anyway, if one has to betray the other, I think Mileena will be the rat. I just see her as the sly one. Maybe Mileena could want revenge on Baraka for killing Shinnok, or something? Maybe Shao Kahn could be the motive? I would love to see them split up and take to different tyrants. Baraka to The Dragon King, and Mileena to Shao Kahn.

Nitara & The Vampires
I think Nitara's race will play a HUGE part of Mortal Kombat. And if you think about it, Nitara's race fits the narrator's description. They've been lurking in the shadows since before MK1 and they're really powerful as I remember thinking that if Nitara's entire race entered the tournament, it would be game over. I believe they had whacky powers, too. And maybe Cyrax or Reptile could be classifyed an ally? Reptile helped isolate Cyrax, and Cyrax retrieved the Orb. Maybe Nitara didn't even send Cyrax back to Earthrealm? It never said she did. Cyrax just went into the portal. Maybe he's some kind of chosen one? Anyway, long story short, I think Nitara's race will be back, with the leader playing a huge part. I would consider their race deceptive and manipulative.

I'll do some more later.

its a good ideal but dont kill sonya i think it should be like they kill radien instead of sonya if she left the game a lot will be disapointed including me

i think the one about raiden could be true.......but not liu.......he's dead....all of you liu kang fans just get over it!!!!!!!!!!!!!he's dead & there is nothin u can do about it!!!!!!except complain to boon sum mo...........
