MKD: Arena's I would like to see and the Hazards they should have

Heaven: In MKD i would like to see an arena based on heaven. With elder gods either watching or as statues in the background. think clouds.

Swampland: A concept not used in MKDA, but would be nice. The ground would be half a foot of water. Tree's everywhere. a low fog in the air. wildlife. Also I wouldnt mind to see a Character hidding in the trees like smoke did in MK2. Hazard would be either quicksand or a some creature that attacks you if to close.

Palace Exterior: I like the design of this unused idea from MKDA.

SlaughterYard: another unused concept with gross ideas. lots of blood on the floor.

Dojo: A perfect place for all practice games to be held.

Hell: Think death, fire and lava etc. Hazards other demons, fire

Dragon King's Castle: Very grand. Very large. lots of gold and jewels. A huge fire breathing dragon statue that could also be the hazard.

Special Forces HQ: Wouldnt mind to see an arena here.

Realm Interchange: A room full of portals. if you kick your enemy into one you end up in another arena.

Cobalt Mines of Outworld: rocky arena with lots of prisoners as spectators. get to close to some of them and they strangle you.

Egyptian desert: Pyramids in background. Small Spinx that spit acid.

Lin Kuei Hq: with heaps of Ninja spectators. again get to close and they stab you with swords.

Forest: Talking trees: Hidden characters. Get to close to a tree it bites you

Very good ideas!

I want a level were you can fight in water. Not INSIDE but I mean, like the swamp in MKTE but more realistic, the water could turn into blood when the oponent is hit, and they would move a little slower.

I liked this idea, someone mentioned it before me.

I want to see the Lin Kuie Lab where the cyborgs were built. Maybe see a couple of them in stasis tubes in the back.

In the Slaughter Yard, it would be cool to see chained dragons that are ready to attack.

The Higher plain, which you called Heaven would have you fighting in the dragon logo made of water and fire, with candles floating in mid air.

How bout an indian burial ground. See a giant bondfire in the middle, totem poles, old graves, buffalo bones, and shaman chanting in the background with wolves howling at the moon.
I like the whole desert feel. Not like Sarna Ruins, but with bones of dead birds and animals...and carcases with vultures swarming overhead squawking with sand blowing everywhere and mirages appearing in the background and fading away. That would rock!

An oil field would be nice with those huge oil digger machinces, and a grist mill would rock! You could fight in the water and the huge wheel could smoosh you as a stage fatality. Maybe a huge hill like on Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO with the windmills everywhere. Scotland would be a nice location for that. So many ideas!

I was thinking about more dark and obscure arenas:

Torture Chamber: this would be excellent if managed correctly, on the surrounding walls all kinds of torture tools and gadgets, of course walls splattered with blood and flesh, maybe even some guys being tortured as the fight goes on, as well as nice screams and creepy laughs, with a dim light coming from torches around.

Dark Temple: The MK3 idea of a darkish temple full of weird inscriptions and candles was cool, just that you can add an altar with blood or sumthing just to make it creepier

Battlefield: As the battle between the undead army of quan chi and the earthrealm develops it would be a nice touch for a battleground, with corpses limbs and many background characters

Water Temple: The idea in MKDA was great but not well developed, i mean the raft barely moved after you beated the crap outta the guy

-those are my ideas-.............
How about bring back the classic Pit level... that'd be awesome in 3d. I always have wanted this. So easy to get knocked off... Make it a little bit wider but be able to fall off at anytime. It'd be crazy crazy stuff. But I love most of the ideas I read so far.

All good ideas. One I am sketching right now is the bell tower. It gets skinnier as it goes up and it would have a standard pit fatality or a huge stainglass window you get thrown out and fall like 20 stories into burning lava? Also thought about knocking someone into the bell and don't know what would happen after.

I was also thinking about a underwater stage. Water is about up to the knees. There are crystals in the cave ceiling and they make light prisms and stuff. Some sort of water monster would attack the oppent. Maybe currents would pull them deep down and their bodies would float up. The multi areas would be down different caves or through cave walls.

The Chamber of Elders: The Unused level in MKDA. It could be multi-tiered, and there could be portals on all sides of the room that lead out of other portals in the same room. The center part of the arena is a glass floor, and if any fighter hits the floor hard enough, it breaks, leading to a death trap of some sort.

Well it might sound a lil pussy, but maybe a nice scenario would be a garden or a bamboo forest (a la Samurai Shodown) full of shadows and light effects, a good pit fatality may be to impale the opponent on the bamboo and its thorns

Edenian Catacombs.

Basically it is a cave type area with stagtites and stagalmites risiing from the floor and descending from the ceiling - corpses are impaled on them.
The floor is covered in shallow water (knee deep) and in the centre of the floor is like a vault/door circular opening. There is a few sicks attached to the wall and which are alight, and on the walls and ceiling is the water reflecting.
The opponents spash the water when they fight, kick or fall down, and when blood emerges it clouds the water red. The area would have a gloomy slow fog (no beat) type music tune to it to add the eeriness. Also iot the background you hear something swiming and something roaring and things screaming.

Stage Fatalities (2)

1.) The player jumps into the air and dislodges a boulder, the boulder crashes into the vault type thing and the player leaps onto an overlooking ledge. The opponent is sucked into the hole and is sent into the abyss. After a splash (10 seconds later) you hear a roar and a surge of bloody water arises from the opening. A demon sea creature lifts its head out of the opening and spews out the disembodied corpse of the opponent, it the descends back into the hole and dissappears.

2.) The player grabs the opponents and start of swing the opponent round impaling them numerous times into the stalagmites and stalagtes, the water starts to become a deep red and with every smash into a spike arises a nice crunch ( after about 12 impalements to the opponent, the player starts to strangle them under the water - drowning them, then after they are dead the player sticks them on the a stagtite to go with the collection of dead corpses.

I'd like to see some of the DA arenas that had concept sketches for stage fatalities re-implemented with the fatalities.

I'd also like to see the drum arena return. Your character could toss them on Konga's drum for the stage fatality.

Mainly I'd just like to see the acid bath and drum arena back(a couple non multi-tier levels wouldn't hurt)

Yes, lunch break! I got a full 1/2 hour. Okay...

"The Pillar": The fighting arena is actually made up of several concentric columns, which rise slowly starting at the outermost column, followed by the next column and so forth. Thus the fight area gets smaller annd the danger greater the higher the pillar rises. At a certain height a fall becomes fatal.

An alternative version could be several concentric rings suspended by an unseen force over an abyss. As time progresses, the outermost ring drops away, and if one is unlucky or stupid enough to be standing on it when this happens, FATALITY!

"The Mountain Arena": Okay, this is a little involved, and I'll have to establish a north-south-east-west convention. The whole stage is set up on the south face of a mountain. The first half if just like the drum arena in MKDA - bordered by fences, lined with onlookers, etc.. The MK dragon could be etched into the rock face to the north.

To the east there's a bridge. Crossing it would present a challenge because it forces the combatants into a linear game and presents the risk of falling off - which is not fatal. The fight resumes in the chasm below. What it does is cheat them of the death trap on the other side. Boulders could fall for added hazards/stage weapons.

This death trap could be more imaginative; right now I'm envisioning it as a death drop off the mountain, located at the south and/or east edges of the arena.

"Spike Arena": A two-tiered arena where spikes constantly rise and lower from the floor. (Think the spike trap in "The Temple of Doom".) There could be heads, skulls, bodies impaled on the spikes for ambiance. The same action is going on at the bottom of the arena. If someone gets knocked off the top tier, it's just dumb luck whether or not they get impaled. Otherwise the fight continues with the same hazards.
