MKD Heads...Who Are You Using For MKA?

I'm sick, and I'm bored..so I'm going to be a geek and post this. This thread is more suitable for people who play MKD competetively and will do the same for MKA than those on the MKD who are 99% scrubs and those on the MKA board who more concerned with Sheeva's specials than whether the game is good or not. With that said...

Team Rape aka Team Domination aka Team Versa : )

10. Nitara - I really like this character. Her story was cool and her design was tight. I know not many people will use her since she's not very popular, but I'm very interested in how her character will progress and I think she'll have some cool moves. I hope she's at least mid tier. She'll make the cut for "roster"

9. Jax - Jax has always been one of my favorite characters, so I'm glad he's back for MKA. He was powerhouse for MKDA, but I think he will toned down due to the parry probably raping his Jab game. We will see. Def gonna use him.

8. Liu Kang - Another one of my favorites. I use him in all the games so MKA will be no different. Hope he's solid.

7. Shang Tsung - C'mon..who DOESN'T like Shang? Awesome concept, dope story and even doper special moves. He was top 10 in MKDA, so I hope he's solid in this game too.

6. Kintaro - My favorite boss ever. I always thought Kintaro in 3D would kick ass. I had a hunch before that he would be low tier, but he has a command throw that draws you in and does 20 damage for MKA. I assume that will be toned down, but regardless of whether it is or isn't I plan on being one of the better Kintaro players.

5. Kitana - My baby! Jade and Mileena are cool, but Kitana has always been the shit to me. She's never boring to play and always has some pretty cool moves. She'll always make my roster as long as she's in a MK game. I hope she's not as bad as she was in MKDA, but even if she is I'll work with her and make her competetive.

4. Quan Chi - My favorite MK bad guy of all time. Sinister, sick, badass. I hope he gets his double broadsword stance. That shit was tight. Plan on being one of the better Quan players no doubt.

3. Ermac - Ermac is my nigga for real. I never liked him in the old games, but his MKD iteration has really made me like him a lot. His moves are incredibly cool and his look is slick. Me and Quik are gonna make Ermac a force to be reckoned with in MKA no doubt.

2. Johnny Cage - Similar to myself: disliked by many, but could care less. Cage has been one of my favorite characters since forever. His moves are dope, his look is always slick and perhaps this time even his story will be good. I want to have the best Cage.

1. Sub-Zero - Not a suprise to anyone, Sub has been my man since I was 3 mashing on the Genesis controller tryin to do the freeze in MK2. My fav MK character of all time and prolly my fav character in games period. I will settle for nothing less than the best Sub-Zero, but I hope this time I have a tad more tools to work with. Being competetive with him has been tough the last few iterations. MKD version was mid tier, but this I'm hoping for top tier or upper mid.

So those are my 10. I was kinda interested in Rain, but everyone is gonna use him, so fuck that. Smoke was my 2nd fav growing up, but he's still with Noob and that's gay so fuck him too. I also will mess around with Fujin, Reiko,Sektor, Shao Kahn and niggas like that.

What about yall? Still playin Jade BMB? I know Crk is still prolly rollin with Shujinko. Will dave still be kickin ass with Dairou? I'm curious. Let me know who you guys have your eye on for MKA. Unless you're that normal type who just waits for the game to come out and see who's fun to play(those types SUCK!)

Far as I can see right now, I'm rolling with Reiko. The Pi-Gua is looking mega tough, and specials on point. I think he will be a top contender from what I've seen.

Also I'm feeling Sektor I think he will be one of the more intersting characters to use for sure. But Liu, and a lot of the other old school members should be able to hold their own in this, time will tell.

Cool lists, guys.

Yes, Reiko looks really good, but word is he will be toned down for the final version as well as Sheeva,Jarek and everyone else deemed broken at E3.

KAK is cool and all Jay, but you're gonna need to know how to play a couple of the real chars for tourneys and stuff. KAK prolly wont be allowed, and most us will prolly be chillin in the non-KAK rooms/.

Great thread

10 - Mavado - best DA character by far, it will be interesting seeing what he will be without the Hookswords (assuming Kabal will get them)

9 - Jerek - the most underrated mk character ever, with Kou shoh, Axe and his broken ts he seems very strong

8 - Mileena - always liked her and always will, if she doesn't get her Mien Chuan I'll be pissed

7 - Baraka - one of my favorites, he sucked in MKD, he just wasn’t fun to play with, I hope he's better this time

6 - Mokap - yes yes, Mokap. I always love playing characters that no one else uses.

5 - Kung Lao - one of my favourits - I hope he will get his shaolin fist and his old special moves moves back.

4 - Sheeva - I always thought she was cool and now not only she is cool she looks very very strong top tier for sure.

3 - Drhamin - Such a cool character and so broken. What more can you ask.......

2 - Quan Chi - my 2nd favourite, he's special and evil.
I hope he's stronger than he was in DA.

I hope he gets that skulls wall move he did in MKD intro.
Looks like a great defensive special

1 - Tanya - my favorite mk character, you just gotta love her, she is such a bitch.

She is very weak in MKD mainly because she doesn't have any safe mid launchers and she is not as broken as others.

In MKA:

Zi ran men is gone which is great news, one of the weakest styles in MKD

Yue Chuan is gone - sad I loved that style, those lows would drive people crazy

I hope she gets a good style and a new weapon

first character i will use is going to be Reiko since he has been my fav character since mk4.
and i have a feeling that he is going to be a top tier and a popular character.

here is my MKA character list:
Reiko
Kahn (i think he will suck but i love the way he looks and special moves)

Liu kang (awesome character, but he's second stance in mkd doesn't fitt
him, lokking forward to use in MKA. fav character since mk.
Mavado
Fujin
Noob Saibot (if he's separated from smoke)
Reptile
Scorpion (since mk1)
Tanya Shang
Sub-Zero (that's a character i really enjoyed playing in deception always fun)

smile These are my favorites but it may change when the MKA is out!

Ok, supposed I'm getting MKA...

I guess

- Shang Tsung: one of my favourites, and probably one of my best in DA
- Mavado and Kabal: hookswords are badass and finally the whole MK community has realised this over the past two years; and Kabal was my best in MKD
- Reiko: always a character that has appealed to me, and I'll definitely get into him
- Ermac: same, plus I was quite good and creative with him in MKD
- Cyrax or Sektor: always had a soft spot for them cyborgs, and I hope this time around Cyrax will be better
- Kung Lao: one bad-ass monk, who was great in DA
- Jax: awwww yeah...
- Kano: well, each game Kano's in I'm sceptic towards him but I end up owning hard playing him, so, welcome back, you brute

KABAL - My fave character since MK3, and my best in MKD. I'd like him to make the return pretty much "as is", with the addition of his old Ground Saw move. If he's only got one fighting style, I'd probably lean more towards Goju Ryu. An uppercut move in hookswords would be nice, along with that plant hooks move that Mavado had in DA. Think it was 4, or F+4. And let him launch that fireball from mid-air again. Here comes the pain...

SEKTOR - My fave cyberninja, just a stone cold motherfucker. I'll be disappointed if the heat-seeker missile doesn't make it back with him.

REPTILE - But only if he's got a similar moveset to his MK3/UMK3 arsenal. It was all about the force balls.

CYRAX - If he's back with his green net instead of that stupid chest cuisinart move.

KUNG LAO - Always liked him for some reason. Badass. He's gotta keep that hat on though, just doesn't look right hanging off his back.

TANYA - If she's still the same sinister, treacherous bitch that she's always been. I don't see her changing her ways anytime soon. Didn't really like her until MKD, but now she has my heart.

QUAN CHI - This dude just oozes evil from every pore. How can ya not like him? Broadswords and flaming skulls. That old weapon-steal move from MK4 was cool too. Maybe he could force an opponent's fighting style to change as a new version of that special.

I will use all Black Dragon members to some degree. Probably not Kobra or Kira too much though.

I'll be making a KAK fighter sooner or later, and also choosing at least one or two more characters based on a tier list. I'll mess around with the other fighters as they interest me.

I hope the air kombat doesn't fuck the game up too much. I also really liked the two-fighting-styles-plus-weapon-style set up of the last 2 games. I know 2 styles per character in a 60+ roster would probably have many styles used more than once, but eh, I thought it gave the game a little more depth. But we'll see how it comes out. It's looking like it'll be a fun game, hopefully as unbroken as possible.

1.Reiko: I like his specials, his sword looks cool, he looks like a fun one to use.
2.Kung Lao: My favorite since MK2 I hope he keeps Shaolin Fist, and he gets all his speicals back (teleport, spin, dive kick, spinning kicks, hat throw)
3.Kintaro: Favorite Boss Ever. I hope he gets more than two moves though.
4.Sektor: He's the best robot. I hope he gets different styles though, and not the ones from E3.
5.Kitana: I like her but she needs to get all her specials back other wise she'll suck.
6.Rain: I like his specials. He'll be mid-tier at least.
7.Sheeva: total dominance, I hope she's not too broken though.
8.Sub-Zero: He was pretty solid in MKD, except that all the other characters were so broken that it was an uphill battle to play with him. Hopefully a more balanced game means a better Sub.
9.Shao-Kahn: Best Boss Ever. I didn't play MKD for Gamecube so I hope he's good.
10.Stryker: I'll see how good he is.

Since Ill be having this game on both consoles ima play different characters on Ps2 than on Xbox.

Ps2 is going to get characters on the Original Roster, Xbox will get characters from the rotated roster.

Ill be using anybody from this game that plays almost the same. Shang Tsung, All Cyborgs, Reptile, Kintaro will be my boss guy. Stryker, Rain, Kung Lao, Kano, Lui, Havik, Sonya, Jade, Ashrah, Kabal and others.

Honestly, I think im gonna practice with EVERYONE like I did with every MK game that came out. Hoping to be decent with the whole cast.

NOTE* The first person who picks Kobra on me will get INFINITED (if there is one) just for picking such a stupid character from a list of around 60.

Jade / Shang / Kano - will own.

Jade - All time fav since mkII when i would masturbate to her. I would like her bo to be changed to a simpler look and w/out those dumb cones on the end.

She will promote use of Kitana - her best friend; Tanya - her enemy

Shang Tsung - OG and most creative of MK bosses. My boy in MKDA. Heh imagine morphing into 60 kombatants.

He will promote use of Shao Kahn, Shinnok, Quan Chi, and Onaga as they were all the bosses. I will rock Blaze too if he's playable.

Kano - Sickest of all the sick fucks in MK. Dirty dude who i will do dirty deeds with.

He will promote use of Hsu Hao/Mavado - Red Dragon rival (respect the laser beams!); Sonya/Jax - Special Forces rival
