The question is, WHAT would make these characters evil? they cant just turn evil from nothing.

i want JOHNNY CAGE to stay the same but get rid of that wrestling look. lose the champion belt and the word "cage" goin down his leg. in other words- keep his arm garments, but give him the pants from mk4.

everyone else, i trust boon. oh and i hope ermac has a tight alt costume

I only said Rayden and Lui Kang as evil. Rayden would have always been evil. Hence the name of the game "DECEPTION" he had decieved everyone. Used earth to defeat his enemys and alow him to be come more powerful to help resurrect his old buddy and master the DRAGON KING.

Lui Kang would be evil cause Rayden ressurrects him that way. Taints his soul if you will.

Some good ideas there...lets see if I could think up a few, for now I'll stick with the classics:

Raiden: Good guy, but gets a bad attitude. For centuries he has been following what the Elder Gods have told him and what happens. They literally abandon his world, Earth, time and again. Make his outfit more grey, not black, but more storm cloud grey, loose the damn hat. He's the Thunder God and he's pissed! generic win quote: Invade earthrealm again and you will truely feel my wrath.

Liu Kang: Dead.

Sonia Blade: A little older, but still in shape. Hey she's the only non-immortal MK1 character that hasn't died yet, shows she's tough but maybe a few grey hairs. (I know Kano has also survived, but I hope he was killed by Mavado in MK:DA) generic win quote: It seems it still takes a woman to get the job done.

Kano: Dead.

Scorpion: Back and madder then ever. Almost the same as he was in MK:DA, but a little wear and tear on his outfit. generic win quote: Suffer as I had to suffer.

Sub-Zero: Big Brother returns and he's not happy with what Little Brother has done while he was away. generic win quote: Ice burns, doesn't it.

Johnny Cage: Drop the pretty boy routine. You died once, made friends with a god, and you hang out with ice ninjas and special forces. Get the hint! generic win quote: This is where you fall down.

Goro: Dead.

Shang Tsung: Darker than he was in MK:DA. (He reminded me too much of the evil Cardinal from the Three Muskateers movie.) His main outfit should be black with red trim with little or no gold, he face more satanic. His eyes need to glow a sickly green from all the souls he has consumed. generic win quote: Your soul is now mine!

reptile- do alil better with his reptilian form, but have his green ninja as an alt costume. that would be the best!!!!

I like your Reptile idea. That's pretty damn good.

I don't think it should be a red glow though, a green glow. Either because of the souls or energy or something like that.

Kung Lao: if he is back you could take his look one of two ways as I do with all my ideas so basically it could be his main costume and alt costum e:

Costume 1: First costume could be his pretty boy, western look. medium length hair ear level i guess, coloured red. black pants, steel boots. dragon tattoo's on his arms. black vest. Lots of shiny silver platting on his costume

costume 2: This would be his orgin costume back in monestary days. Shaved head. Simple robe. Monk style with a golden rope belt .

Some more characters to add to what I written earlier:

Jax: More military and less ganster. First costume be camoflage (sp?)and formal miltiary uniform for the second. Metal Arms should be optional. Also, give the guy a promotion already he's more than earned it. Generic win quote: That was what I was talking about. (Help, can't think of anything better. LR)

Stryker: Makes his return, but is no longer a riot cop but a member of the Red Dragon. (Evil Laughter) Is he truely a member of the Red Dragon or an undercover agent for the Special Forces. Costume should be more street, less geek. Generic win quote: You thought I was the wimp?

Fujin: The God of Wind is not happy. He believes what his brother is doing is right, but he has been commanded by the Elder Gods to keep an eye on him. There is also that strange female he senses great power from, who has also shown a great interest in what Raiden is doing. What will this god do, follow his brother's lead or follow the dictates of his Elders. He still has the hair, but the costume is closer to Raiden's then before. No hat or cape, but the basic design is there with a little less armor. Generic win quote: May the Elder Gods forgive what we must do.

Blaze: I like the concept of Blaze. But in MKDA he suxed. But i would Bring him back. In a standard martial arts costume with a black belt. Except wear his skin is exposed he is on fire. As for his Alt Costume that would be a revamped version of His MKDA appearance basically a fireball with arms and legs.

Samurai: In MKDA we saw quan chi standing over all those skeleton Samura. Well it should be obvious then that at least one of those guys should be a selectable fighter in the next game.

I like the ideas.

I don't want Raiden evil! I like LadyRaidens idea of making him pissed though. That would be ok.

Excuse me while a go on a quick semantics rant about storyline issue’s then I’ll go into what I think people should look like.

One, I think Raiden should stay good in the sense that he is protecting earth realm. As the gentlemen said above he has been pretty shafted by the elder gods as they have pretty much forgotten earth and him. I think Raiden should stay acting defiant of the gods, play by his own rules, and have an unending animosity towards the gods. Raiden has been doing his job, more then satisfactory in his situation. So in a sense Raiden could be perceived as a good and bad guy at the same time. A good guy in the sense that he act on morality when protecting earth realm, and a bad guy because he is showing the elder gods what for (sorry I know that phrase is extremely haggard but who cares).

This could give Raiden the opportunity to either go on a downward spiral to being evil, or to him eventually rising above the elder gods and once again leaving Fujin as the protector of earth realm.

And now that I am done ranting like a pathetic fanboy (don’t give me a skull, for I have flamed myself here) I will now stop going off topic and get to the bloody point.

Liu Kang: I really like the idea of Liu Kang coming back looking like a corpse, sort of how Kenshi’s alternate outfit from Deadly Alliance looked (I know he wasn’t a corpse, but he looked close enough). But I’d like him to come back either being evil, or being on his own personal vendetta for vengeance, not really working with anyone, just being on his own, sort of like Scorpion. Where he wants to come back, restore the wrongs to the rights, then go back to eternal rest, this meaning after this if we don’t like Liu Kang, we never have to see him again. But if he did come back it would be nice if he would bring some powers back from the dead with him (sort of like a recent topic about Johnny Cage) which could give an opportunity to give Liu Kang new moves or completely revamp him, much like Jen from Tekken.

Johnny Cage: I’d like Johnny Cage to ditch his whole Hollywood look and career in general and just concentrate on being a warrior. And after the tournament he would plan on starting a Dojo or something, because he is so good :P.

Reptile: I like the idea for reptile being a sub-boss, really like that. But if he were to return other wise I’d like him to be a ninja again having his previous form restored to him by the dragon king much like Shang Tsung in MKII (not saying it was the dragon king that did that to him, I know it was Shao Khan).

Kano: Don’t know why, but I think Kano should have a Snake Bliskin look to him, sort of like his look from Escape From L.A meets Kano’s look from MK3. And have him be bald again.

Cryax: Plain and Simple, bring back his exact look from mk3, perfectly though, to a tee.

Don't worry about being a fanboy, I am most likely the oldest 'fangirl' of Raiden's. Also, I like the idea of Johnny giving up showbiz and starting a Dojo.

More character ideas:

Kung Lao: His rage and thirst for revenge slowly consumes him. Eventually he leaves the White Lotus and starts to travel. Whether to find himself again or not no one knows. However, he still hunts Shang Tsung and/or Quan Chi (Whichever survives if not both). One outfit is the same as the one in which he wears his hat in MKDA, a second one will similiar only more beat up (hat had dents, etc) and a more darker feel. Generic win quote: Damn! Why can't you just leave us alone.

Sub-Zero the Younger: The return of his brother is a shock, but he is no longer the boy who looked up to Sub-zero the older. He sees the darkness in his brother's eyes and knows that the brother he once knew no longer exists if he ever did. Due to the effects of the DM the younger Sub-zero now looks older than the elder Sub-zero. Also, Sub-zero the younger now has the experience and power to face his brother and will not let his brother mess with the new Lien Que (sp?) or endanger earthrealm. (Note: We need to give these guys some names of their own if they haven't been given ones already. Calling them Sub-Zero the younger/older is getting stale.)

Kano: He could revet much like was said in another post to a more classic look. Imagine he has had his eye impant removed so know he just has a patch. Black Leather jacket. Knuckle dusters with spikes on one hand and a chain in the other. A classic biker looker would be the way to take kano in MK

Johnny Cage: well personally i am sick of his antics and like a lot of others say he should leave his macho actor life style. Lets say after his ressurection, and constant witnessing of the unholy. Cage find religion. Dedicated his life to it now. Gives up the booze, drugs and women, find god and becomes a priest. Imagine his costume standard black with the priest collar. He is now fighting for his church against the evil demons (now this takes cage in a complete opossite direction to previous versions)

NightWolf: If he is back. Then costume one should be traditional native american gear. in brownish color. War paint on his face and indian chief hat. Alt costume would be modern westernised clothing, Blue trench coat with anicent writing on it.

Quan Chi: Basically the same look as in MKDA. Although the tattoos should be gone leaving burn marks as if the awaking of the Dragon King branded him in someway. He has not been merged with either of the Oni. Once again he is the evil sorcerer who hopes to rule/destroy all...or is he. There are some hints that he is not truely the Quan Chi of MK4, no...but Shinnok himself. He took on the appearence of Quan Chi during the events of MKDA in order to escape the Netherrealm. He kept up the act to help reduce the chances of the Elder Gods interference. And now the Dragon King has control over the fallen Elder God, but the Dragon King has no idea who he truely is. The truth does not get revealed until the end of MKD. Generice win quote: You have no idea of my true power.

Yeah i forget about quan chi, not bad ideas. He is my view on him.

Quan Chi: Quan Chi would look even more gastly. He would still have muscle definition, yet he would be skinny, sickley skinny. His colour, a pale white with green tinge. his face sunken in. his weapon would be that skull stick concept that never made it into MKDA. his fingers would have long nails. One of hands should be rotten from exposure to some cursed thing he has stolen. No shirt. just black pants and no shoes. his alternate costume would be all dark maroon costume, boots and a single black glove to cover his rottening hand.

I have said it before. Prince Goro's son should be a playable character. There to kill all in revege for his father and his family. He would be more human size yet for arms and look

I think the least likely character to betray earthrealm is Raiden.

Scorpion should have a cool atl costume, or maybe unmasked, so we can see his human face, or look a very demonic appearance, you know, a fiery aura, more rigid outfit, skin-like clothing, burnt or charred clothing.
