Not exactly. MKvsDC is a 3D fighter with a strong emphasis on 2D gameplay. MK4 is a 2D fighter with a side-step mechanic injected in that feels stupid.

alright because that's what i was trying to ask. because you have to move in a 3d motion with the analog stick, so its almost like a side step button. i mean the 3d motion its not on the d-pad.

yeah its a bit confusing. the only reason i asked because on wikipedia they had mk vs dc as a 2.5d game. so i assumed it was like mk4. i think i heard ed boon say that for 3d movement you had to use the analog stick. i never played mk vs dc, so yeah.....

mk vs dc feels like a combination of many game elements from MK1-MKA.

But yeah, the way you move around a stage is reminiscent of the movement in mk4, but it's not quite the same. I haven't play mk4 in years...but from what I remember sidestepping was not as fast and robust as the on in MK vs DC.

has nothing to do with the topic but I bought MK vs DC 2 weeks ago and sold it last week, game is way to short, story mode was the worst script ever and online is terrible, Tekken 6 is 10 times better.

Lies real men play Tekken. Street Fighter 4 just got boring after you unlocked everything. MK vs DC kept my attention for like 3 days and then I never played it again. There is absolutely no lasting appeal in that game.

No lies and real men play Street Fighter. Since you wanted to bring up Tekken 6 being better than mkvsdc I brought up SF4 being better than both of them since you went that route. SF is and always will be better than Tekken. You probally don't like SF because of the way its played. Oh well to bad. and as for regular fighting games goes Virtua Fighter> Tekken.
