^^ Exactly my point, Im just saying I question the authenticity of the time travelling theory presented as the original konquest story for Monster. The theory is that the time travelling theory is supposed to explain Scorpion's apperance before his time.

I just question it because I dont ever remember hearing anyone on the dev team saying anything about time travelling, but I know I could be wrong, if I got evidence supporting otherwise I would accept the time travelling theory (i.e. development team member quote, magazine article, interview). I refuse to accept wikipedia as a source of evidence since it was made by fans and I doubt the authors of the article has inside information about the original konquest storyline.

I also think Tremor would make a very good character for Mortal Kombat.
For one reason he is a ninja with earth element powers, two he works for the Black Dragon Clan, three I liked MK:Special Forces.

As for Monster .....I consider him a alt. costume for Scorpion, because he looks so much like Scorpion.

As for the arguments for a champion before Scorpion, there was none. They wouldn't need a champion until reality was threatened. The only time reality was threatened was when Shujinko had the 6 Kamidogu at the end of Konquest. The Elder gods were not aware of Shujinko's actions until he had the 6 Kamidogu. Scorpion failed to stop him, and was sent back to stop him before he had all 6.

Monster
Monster is a minor character in Mortal Kombat: Deception. Shujinko encounters him during Konquest Mode inside the Nexus, where Monster claims to be the true champion of the Elder Gods, and challenges Shujinko to Mortal Kombat. After he is defeated, he is not seen again. Monster is voiced by Ed Boon.

Monster was originally going to be an alternate costume for Scorpion. It was his rumored "Knight" costume. The developers felt that it didn't fit Scorpion, and that idea was scrapped.

Konquest was originally supposed to involve time travel, thus explaining Monster (Scorpion's) appearance before his death, and the fact that he is the true champion of the Elder gods, and most likely other appearances/events that happen out of sync with the MK timeline. The developers thought the time travel idea would be too confusing, and that was scrapped. They liked Monster so much, that they left him in. He retained all Scorpion's moves, and the true champion of the elder gods story from being one of his costumes. They never fixed the timeline after scrapping timetravel.


Time Travel?
Monster (Scorpion) is the champion of the Elder gods, sent back in time to stop Shujinko during his quest. He was probably sent back after his failure when Shujinko had all 6 Kamidogu at the end of Konquest.

Confused? That's why the time travel idea was scrapped. That Scorpion was renamed Monster, and given the "Knight" costume since they still liked it(and it didn't fit Scorpion). But they forgot to remove the part about him being the champion of the elder gods, which caused more confusion. The Elder gods weren't on to Shujinko until he had already collected the 6 Kamidogu. Why would they send a Champion when they didn't know about Shujinko? Monster was Scorpion from the Future.

Are you sure they scrapped the time travel thing because it was too confusing or because they realized it was really dumb? Scorpion, the bad ass Champion of the Elder Gods, fights Shujinko and gets his ass kicked. So they send him back in time to stop Shujinko while he was young...and he got his ass kicked again. Way to go Scorp.

Jax was the strongest man on Earth, Bo is stereotypically Fat, Goro wtf?, Dairou's move was retarded, and Jarek's move was stupid.

There are more to Earth type moves, than shaking the ground.
Boulder Projectiles, Stalagmites from the ground, steam vents, huge crevass, falling rocks/stalagtites, etc.

I don't even care if Tremor looks like a ninja, I loathe the UMK3/T ninja outfits. They look retarded. He could have Jarek's MK4 outfit for all I care, which I like btw.

Even so, my point is that any more characters with powers over earth would be incredibly lame at this point. Tremor would just have stupid, boring powers like making earth shake and some boring-ass, cookie-cutter projectile.

Take, for instance, Raiden. Okay, he has the power of lightning. Awesome. Then add Rain and Nightwolf. See what I'm getting at? If we added a new guy with power over electricity (even if the attacks were different), it would still be pretty old.

As I recall, she had a teleport which could damage one if they got too close, a spinning-top sword maneuver, and she could form a ring of glowing oval projectiles around herself which would, one by one, take off and home in on you.


And to whoever said Tremor's bulkiness sets him apart and makes him worthy for inclusion: No more than Reptile's hidden face or Smoke's smoking did. He's still a typical MK ninja, and that alone is NOT good enough.

I would only support these minor characters becoming major characters if the MK team decided they wanted to include "new characters" in MKA.

This is simply because there would be no point to waste new character concepts when this is clearly the "end of a generation". If they need filler space, I would support adding them over wasting new designs.

A couple new characters (Bob, for instance) could begin their storylines in MKA and work their way into the next generation. I'm sure whatever happens to Bob in Armageddon will be a lead-in to any possible (probable) involvement in the next MK.

After hearing of his master Kanos death at the hands of Sonya blade he wandered earth realm doing what he could to survive and then one day a Tarkaten warrior aproached him with a message from his old master Kano explaining where he has been and asking him to join him in surviving the deadly alliance he quickly agreed. Eager to fight again he followed the Tarkaten warrior to a portal that led to outworld. But when he arrived he found out his master was nowhere to be found.

Instead he stood before the dragon king and demanded to know where his master was. The dragon king annoyed at him, ordered Baraka to kill him. Tremor barely escaped into the living forest where he found his master Kano after wandering for a copule of days and agreed to help him in an upcoming battle he was planning(MK:A)^_^

MONSTER

After he was defeated by Sujinko the elder gods for saw that he would not be able to beat the Dragon King and decided to elect a new champion.

Monster was angry at their decision and went to earthrealm to exact reveng on the man who humiliated him and ruined his life.
