Please read more carefully before replying. I said your conversation with the users I mentioned was removed. After I removed this conversation, the thread was only eleven pages. Before I began deleting the replies, the topic was twelve pages in length... thus I feel the pages resetting caused whatever error this was. Anyhow, the thread is closed, not deleted. All information discussed before this off topic nonsense began can still be found in Versatile's topic, which you would know if you would have followed my link.

Hi everyone.
I've been reading this thread since it started, never posted. I'm a Tekken player primarily and got heavy into this game with my friends here in good old San Diego, California. It was fun for awhile but the game is definately broken and the fags online that complain all day don't help it either...
Just wanted to make a few comments.... Without a doubt I think Bo Rai Cho is #1. His risk/reward is without equal. His safety/damage alone is what makes him more than formidable for anyone out there. Add in a player that can space very well, you got yourself a tough match.
Really close to BRC(Depending on how you play him of course) is Dairou... Those two are the top characters from my experiences and chatting with some of the top players. After BRC and Dairou I'd say Shujinko, Liu Kang, and Scorpion are up there as well... The rest are player specific IMO...
Also I'm down to play(Until Tekken 5 comes out later this week/early next), I got a group of friends that play too... All of whom own up the leaderboards on PS2.... So maybe I'll see a few of you online.
XBL GT - SD TEKKEN
PS2 - too many names to list lol.
Also, I am sick and tired of PS2 faggots always complaining about throws all day. I hate that.... Just because you beat them up they claim you have no skill or they accuse you of cheating lol!
Another thing, FU-TOMB/NO3-XBOX/NO-SKILZ on PS2 is hilarious. He claims that Shujinko is anti BRC(Which is hilarious since he can't beat high level BRCs), and after we play him he PMs us telling us to keep it on the DL and not reveal his Shujinko strats... I don't know about ya'll but I don't think I'd wanna tell anyone that f+3 owns Shujinko either hahaha.
Carry on gentlemen.

I found this glitch out the day the game came out, it works for both XBOX and PS2. Really easy. Just hold the direction you want to move in before the round starts, then hit the START button and the game will allow you to move.
Pretty weird lol...

Does that only work online or can it work offline in the game?

found another broken combo.. w/ tanya in weapon stance, if u throw some 1 in the corner quickly press back 2 11up 1 only 3 hits hit, but u get 10 out of each 1.. wow i got a total of 58% outta this 1.. wow and its real easy to set some 1 up for the throw w/ tanya.. just 11 them which is a mid hit..

Hello all, I just registered here..
My favorite character is probably Kabal. I know a lot of people consider him the worst character, but he is very good for catching people off guard if you know what you are doing..
In his first stance, 1,1,u+3 can catch people off guard (but mostly only on newbies). I actually prefer to use 1, 3 in combination with 1,1, u+3 to confuse them a bit. The style change from the first stance into the second stance is also a good punisher. I often catch people off guard with the last hit.
In his second stance, 1,4 is VERY good for catching people off guard with. Most will block on the second hit of the 4, and thus get pushed back from the 2nd hit of it. I also like the single 2 hit as it is a pop-up, and off of it you can style change into hookswords with 1,1 CS 2.
In hookswords, I assume that most of you already know common strategies.. u+2 abuse, followed by a throw (as most people will block after the u+2), 213 pop-up followed by 1,1 b+1 for an easy 30+ damager or 1,1,4 (I think that is it?) twice if you are good to get off nearly 50%. What I don't see a lot of people doing, but is very effective, is U+1. U+1 is a high hit with good reach and is very good for catching nappers. It can also be used to interrupt attacks, but to a lesser extent. Also, his CS into his first stance is very good to catch your opponent off guard with.
In terms of special moves, I use his spin stun sparingly. Sometimes if you are lucky you can catch people off guard with it at the start of the match. Otherwise, it is fairly easy to see coming, so you have to use it when they are advancing and about to attack. His projectile is descent, but nothing special, so I don't use it very much. I like his d, b+2, as it also catches people off guard if they are napping, or to do the finishing blow without having to get up close. I like to follow d, b+2 with an u+2 or u+1 (hookswords) to stop their advance if they charge after the double knock-down.
One of my other favorite characters is Baraka, but I don't see many people using him the way he should be used. 3,3,2,11 mixed up with b+4 (sweep), throwing, 2,1,1, f+2, and b+2 is great mix-up. Throw in a few mutant blades and his chopping blades specials, and you can completely destroy your opponent in seconds.
What is the deal with nearly every other person using Scorpion for several matches straight? Not that I mind the wins, as most of them have no idea what they are doing, but it's irritating to face the same opponent over and over. Please, if you are one of these people, try using more than one character!
Well, I hope I helped some people out. You can catch me online (PS2) with the tag thegypsy if you would like to play. glasses

another thing in his second stance that catches people off guard is his f +2 then 4 its not a combo but all 3 hits tend to hit... if u go to practice u will see that it takes almost 30% damage.. smile im also a kabal player...
1 more thing about the tanya cheese throw corner combo~ in weapon ur better off doing back +2 holding foward and keep pressing 1, these hits r guaranteed to hit.. unlike the 1 i posted before.. this combo = 58%
if ur lazy u can just back 22= 45 %
in stance 1 if u throw in corner the best hit is 2 foward 2.. = 37 % ithink lol confused
stance 2~3,2, back 1 % not sure but over 40%
stance 2~2 cs 2 % not sure but over 40%
stance 2~2 cs 11 up 1...% not sure but over 40%
she is definatly the bo rai cheeses match.. its a fun fight for both.. i dont mind playing vs bo rai cheese any more, because of tanya..
* note her cheese isnt as bad as bo rais so dont get pissed if i pick her alot.. tongue

dairiu aint shit if you know what you're doing.
Most players will do the ground stomp/drop. Just chose someone that has teleport like noob/smoke. and start jumping up/back. They will start to shoot thier fireball. when they do this block one or two and on the third one teleport.
You can time it just right to where they cant block it. Do this a few times and their power will be lower then yours and then just keep jumping until the time runs out. and if they come after you use the smoke screen. Its a cheap way to win but hey, dairiu is a cheap character.

LOL! It's funny you say that about Dairou. I picked him in our second fight and you immediately started complaining and telling me not to be cheap (while we were still on the character select screen). So what do you do? Pick Noob-Smoke and only try his infinate... Which i escaped every time cuz you don't know what you're doing! You went down pretty hard that match.
You're Scorpion was cheezy as fuck tho. Don't remember who i was playin but you did get a match on me. Woulda been nice to rematch a good fight but ya backed out after the Dairou/N-S match ya pussy!
Quit complainin and play the game dammit!

Yeah, right now I'm only on xbox. Tho I'm in the process of tryin to get Sony to fix my Ps2. It broke down on me about a year ago, and recently a friend of mine told me how to get them to fix it for free.
I'm not sure if i'm gonna buy another copy of Deception (maybe unless it goes platinum soon), but I'll definately rent it so i can beat down you, Sub-ZeroMasta, Blade-Tsung, nall yother Ps2 n00bz!
The will own you, LOL!

Did you recognize some errors in the fighting styles? i did. When i chose Scorpion becouse of Moifah Flower Fist i was schocked, that the way he fights just aint right! All the high-level combos fit in nicely, but there is a lingering, that this is simply not Moifah. Also, the game lacks the more defined use of moves that contradict each other. How can you counterattack anyone, if he doesnt have a chance of escaping it.
Im not a great player, but I did notice somethings about thios awesome game. Despite its glitches, it rulez. However the styles should be more realistic and characteristic.

darrius has the same thing in the corner as tanya has.. ugh!!! my god more and more bs.. its not as easy to do as tanyas but what i do is step foward quickly then 12444 41% i have been able to throw in the middle of the floor and do foward 444 23%..
i take no credit for this tho.. a guy did this vs me while i was tanya.. tanya cant compete w/ this.. sad when shes in weapon the darrius throw combo takes 58% wow wow
good job ed boon.....
im starting to think that sindel may of had a cheap throw combo like this, but they actually found it and removed it by delaying her big time after her throw.. its the only reason i can think of as to of y her throw sucks so much.. i mean i love the way it looks, but it takes 10% and the fact she cant get up close and 50/50 people after it like others.. like bo rai, tanya and darrius..

I'm bored. Here's how you play Scorpion correctly.Played against MKL and Ogre and learned from them...wink
You can play him in two stances - his first one or his weapon stance.I personally prefer his weapon stance. In either case, here's what options you have and how it's done:
First stance
Mid move - 3,u+4
Low move - either b+3 or f+3,b+3 (both knock down)
Combo - 3,u+4, u+4, Hellfire (second hit is breakable I believe)
Basically, you can mix up his throw with 3,u+4.If 3,u+4 hits,do the combo mentioned above, and then play mind games (50/50 mix ups). After the Hellfire, simply side walk (preferrably to the right) and then you can either throw them, repeat the combo mentioned above if they duck (or attempt to move),or even use another Hellfire on them, and continue playing a 50/50 mix up until they guess right.Watch while doing the
Hellfire, however, because if they guess right and backdash/side walk themselves, you will remain very open.
Weapon Stance
Mid move - f+1(I believe this is completely save)
Low move - d+1(doesn't knock down but it evades fairly well)
Combo - f+1, Spear, Hellfire (unbreakable)
Nothing different here;play same as above.Mix up his throw with f+1.If you juggle them,go for that combo mentioned above. After the Hellfire, side walk, and either do f+1,throw or even another Hellfire.I believe if they move at all after the Hellfire,f+1 will juggle them.Again, watch out while doing Hellfire since it leaves you very open if the move itself misses. As far as 50/50 mix ups are concerned, here's one example:
f+1, Spear, Hellfire, side walk into another Hellfire, side walk into another Hellfire, f+1, Spear, Hellfire (start 50/50 mix ups again)
That's all you really need with Scorpion I think.

oh boy even noob saibot has something cheesey, but im not posting it.. i have yet to see any 1 else do it.. plus the fact smoke already has a infinate, but if u r facing some 1 that trys it~stay out of the corner's/walls and if some 1 does the "infinate combo" in reg area play~go into ur fast stance and jump in the air after the low punch hit.. in the corner sadly i have not been able to jump away from the throw..

i dont think a smoke cloud infinate is possible. all the person has to do is block high vs the cloud, its a mid hit..
u know, sindels scream is worthless, but if it were a mid hit like the smoke cloud it would be a good move.. ahh if i could slap ed boon..

Hold on a second, man, you haven't even heard about it yet...smile
Be Smoke, and do the Smoke Cloud, and then do QCB+3 (which must knock them into the Smoke Cloud). Now,you're Noob, and quickly tag out to Smoke,do Smoke Cloud, and QCB+3 again (which will knock them into the Smoke Cloud). Now,you're Noob...etc.
Obviously,if they can block before you can do Smoke Cloud with Smoke and QCB+3,it won't work, otherwise it might work.
Can anybody test this please?
