m2Dave,
Yeah, I did play you previously. We had a few good matches. My PS2 names are many. *lol*
I have my main one, "DOOMSDAY", which is my baby. Then, when I wanna escape the regular assholes, I go under -DIABLO-. I also have a "Top 100" name that I will use only to play 3 games at a time, beat people high in rank, and then switch to other names. That name is LVCIFER.
And I have another name that my roommate uses when hes practicing, called "-CHAINZ-". I'm training him with nightwolf, and Shujinko. He's actualy quite good, so TECHNICALLY, -CHAINZ- isnt MY name, its ours.
We should set up a few more games though, I love playing people from MKO. I had the time of my life this morning playing Konqrr. :)
And me and Danadbab have had quite a few matches, and so do me and REPSTYLE, so basically I do enjoy playing you guys. :) I learn from you all, and get better with each game. :)

Kobra is best played as a "get in-get out" kind of character...he's so hard to get in on and that low fireball is a bitch.
Funny thing about how I played Shujinko Doomsday, I had played a guy named Elamit (who's main character is Shujinko) for the first time right before I played you and it was the first time I've ever seen Shujinko played like that in ShaoFist...he almost bested my Baraka, but I ended his streak and took him out of the top 100 smile Then I went to practice mode to check what options I had from ShaoFist and went back online to find you, heh...so that was the first time I've ever played Shujinko like that lol.
It was great fun, and can't wait for more games with you. But I haven't played Halo 2 in over a week and I can't take it anymore lol...I'll get back to MKD soon.

Hey everyone, nice threads you have here!
Anyone here has good strat's with Kenshi? to get a win with the blind man you really got tu put the effort! He does'nt have any broken combo after throw sh**t (well, not that i know of?) and he is lacking on the 50/50 mixup option. So far the way to play him is almost strickly on his sword stance, mixing 221 and throw. after a while u can do 2244 they migth fall for it
in judo stance:
- his d3 move is pretty good, fast move, goes under high and give's you a bit of spacing.(but beware of jinko tk slam they'll get you every time)
- b3 is another fast low, back dash cancel pretty fast too and knock downs.
-you can poke to interupt lots of move with d1.
- mix between tk combo and throw or 44cs21 interupt combo with d3
sword stance:
like i said before 221 or throw or up2 to pop them up and combo a bit
tai chi stance:
22211 while holding up is good for universal tracking,b4 to plant them, then you can mix up between throw and tk combo. if b2 hits you get a garanteed throw. spam that move if they dont punish and when they get use to it do b2,4.
use the tk throw move when they turtle too much or spam fireballs it connects from far away i'll let you test it out to get a feel of it.

This game is crap I agree, but the online feature makes up for some parts where the gameplay heavily fails. In any case, however, the game is obviously a joke compared to Tekken and Virtua Fighter.
Moving on,the other day I tested a little bit,and found the following about Nightwolf...
He is best played in his weapon stance having some decent mids,a good projectile, another unblockable projectile for keep away purposes, and a throw that juggles.Let's go into more detail and break down some of his best moves...
Mids
3 - this hits mid and the recovery seems to be very good after it,but that's not the real reason I list it here. From my testing,a throw is FREE after this;it seems they can neither duck it or backdash out of it
2,3 - the same shit, but you add another mid hit (the "2") before the "3";I know what you're thinking, but I'm not 100% sure if a free throw is guaranteed after this since this combination puts the opponent a little further than just his 3;somebody test this out for me and let me know
Throw
Throw - like I said, his throw juggles, but I wouldn't do a combo.I would set them up for some 50/50 mix ups, which brings me to the next point...
Combos
Combo - after any juggle starter,I would simply do his Shoulder (f,f+4) because it seems unbreakable and the opponent cannot tech roll after it
Dial-a-combos
Dial-a-combo - 1,2,3 in his weapon stance is probably the best thing he has.Don't even bother with the "4" after 1,2,3 as I believe he gets a free throw after 1,2,3. 1,2,3 is high, mid, mid, and since his normal 3 gives him a free throw,I wouldn't know why he wouldn't get a free throw after this whatsoever unless the opponent can backdash
Conclusion
I don't know.If I tested everything correctly, just play a mean Throw/2,3 mix up Nightwolf in this weapon stance. If you ever juggle,do his shoulder special move and proceed onto some 50/50 mix ups again.
I would appreciate it if somebody could test this.

With Kobra I found some link combos that are not listed in the Moves list or any strategy guide that significantly increases his overall damage, even to his regular chains:
In Shorin Ryu style
"Aditional hit added to listed chains"
1) 2,1,1,3,3 does 30%
2) 2,1,1, cs does 29%
"Unlisted combo"
2,1,1,4 does 32% and it launches
From this combo I have done f+2, tap cs and juggle them with 1,2,2,cs for a total of 42%
Using Kobras Shorin Ryu style, d+1 snuffs out alot of attempted counter attacks and usually forces the opponent to block low. At that point u+3 is a quick mid that sidesteps around first and hits ducking opponents, it's also great as a counter attack but make sure to move in close to be effective with it.
His weapon style is where you want to be for overall safe moves. His mix-up game has already been mentioned above so I wont go over that in order to avoid redundancy. But what has not been mentioned is his fantastic poking game. His d+3 in the Kali Sticks has a great deal of priority and can easily frustrate opponents into quiting matches. You can litterally walk up and continue to pressure your opponent with this move and then get in close for a grab or an overhead attack. I can usually dominate with Kobra using all of these tactics.
Taker care.

No, I play on PS2.
I've also got to admit, lately I've been having problems playing online, especially against people who run to Bo Rai Cho whenever I beat them. I have to admit, that its been pissing me off SO MUCH lately, that I've been noticing that IM DOING THE SAME THING!
Whenever someone runs to Bo Rai Cho, I run ro him as well, and its a battle to see who's "Fwd+3" is faster, and connects.
I don't like this pattern, as Bo is the shittiest/cheapest character in the game. However, I won't deny that he is the most effective, especially when it comes to winning. If you run to Bo, theres a 95% chance that you are going to win.
I just HATE the fact that I am BECOMING one of those sons of bitches that I hate.
Its gotten to the point where I am actually disgusted with the people I am playing against. They are taking the fun out of this game, completely. I feel no joy, or pride in getting a win using skill anymore. Now, its just a battle to see whos faster selecting Bo at the character select screen.
Am I the only one?

I completely agree with you even though I personally use him very rarely. There are still two types of Bo Rai Cho's online -- those noobs who have just found out about his broken stuff and those who have been playing this game for a while and have experience playing better players.
The former you should be able to beat (with Noob-Smoke or Dariou, for example) as these opponents lack a proper mind game, and thus, their patterns of 50/50 mix ups should become somewhat familiar to you.Subsequently, when you block their mix ups, follow up with your own and you should be able to beat them.
Now,a problem exists with the latter -- the more experienced players (Ogre,MKL,Yayo,Turbo, etc. come to mind).Their patterns of 50/50 mix ups are very hard to guess and hard to determine what's going to come next at you.Not to mention, they know every character's bullshit,so they even know how to deal with your character. They also do significantly better combos after throw;they switch into the Sumo stance I believe and do a dial-a-combo that does at least 60% altogether. They backdash a lot as well in order to destroy your 50/50 mix up,which works most of the time (at least against me).Meanwhile, when you attempt to backdash f+3 will hit you because it hits beyond its hit box. These types of players are very hard to beat and I don't know which character is the best to use against them (maybe Noob-Smoke,Darrius,Dariou?).In any case, you're going to need a lot of luck.

I too have encountered cheesy Bo tactics but I destroyed them with Noob-Smoke and I don't even know the infinites. I do know Noobs throw corner combo and that helps. The opponent usually quits when they see the cheese is ineffective.
Take care

Thats the thing.
I could tell you EXACTLY what combo those sons of bitches do.
Bo Rai Cho
(Stance: Weapon)
F+3, Throw, CS, 1, 2, CS, 2 - 8 Hits, 67%
The thing is, alot of people tell me to stop bitching about Bo, and to just "beat him, like everyone else does". And I know why these people say that.
All of these people are on XBOX LIVE. Not PS2.
Lots of XBL people have given me shit, but the fact of the matter is, PEOPLE ON PS2 USE BO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN PEOPLE ON XBOX!!
On PS2, theres no such thing as a "fair" Bo. once that cheese was 'unveiled', NO ONE used him normal again. Now, whenever someone goes to Bo, YOU ARE LOSING. Its just that simple.
And my previous post was because of the fact that I have NOTICED more and more people using the combo I posted above, the SECOND I run out of combo breakers. And the only way to STOP the F+3 is with a breaker. (Because 90% of the time they do it when I'm on the floor, before I can block)
So in reference to my previous post, I'm BECOMING one of those Bo Faggots. I'm EXTREMELY GOOD/CHEESY with this drunk, fat son of a bitch, but I HATE the fact that I'm BECOMING what I hate.
Has this happened to anyone else? Hating something so much, but realizing that the only way to beat it is to BECOME it?

Like I said,I can beat average Bo's,but they still give me an awful lot of trouble. It's just hard since BRC has the best 50/50 mix up in the game;it's the most damaging and the savest mix up in the game with basically no skill whatsoever. It's more about luck than skill as far as beating him is concerned. So,good luck confused.
Li Mei combos?Try this one...
f,d+3, Flip Kick, 1,1,2, Flip Kick, 1,1,2, Flip Kick, 2, f,f+2
Not too sure about the whole combo notation, but experiment with this in any case.Credit goes to a gamefaqs.com user whose name I've forgotten...grin

I believe Japan gets it in February next year,so the US might get it one month or two later.Yes,Nina is in it.Anna is supposed to be in there as well.Unfortunately,no online. In order for Tekken 5 to be online,it would have to use significantly worse graphics and animations to work properly without lag.I don't know why Namco doesn't consider this feature as it seems to be pretty popular at the moment. In any case,it should be a good game, albeit it won't probaby have as many extra mini-games/features as MK:D,but Tekken 5 will definitely have a better and more enjoyable engine, which is what ultimately the Tekken community cares about. Therefore,if you have a friend to play this with, this is the fighting game to own.
