SPOILERS!!

























Shujinko narrates the Deception intro. The camera pans up the steps of Shang Tsung's Palace, as we learn that the Earth warriors have failed at stopping the Deadly Alliance from resurrecting the Dragon King's undefeatable army. Shujinko then states that it is his fault that the Dragon King has returned. As a last resort Raiden challenges both sorcerors in Mortal Kombat. Raiden fights very well, but is overpowered, and defeated. His presumable end comes from a conjured snake of fire thanks to Shang Tsung. The DA is victorious, but turn on each other out of paranoia and want for power. After a brief conflict, Quan Chi defeats Shang Tsung. It is then that we learn that the Dragon King has returned, his name is Onaga. The DK marches towards Quan Chi, as his army bows at his approaching feet. Quan Chi tries to take the Dragon King alone. He is powerless to stop him. Shang Tsung comes to his feet and assists Chi is trying to stop Onaga. And finally a new alliance is forged as Raiden also raises and attacks the DK. All three aren't powerful enough to stop him. Raiden then realizes that there is only one glimmer of hope left, as he unleashes an ethereal blast, in an attempt to destroy the Dragon King. When the dust settles, we see the Dragon King standing alone, grasping the amulet, as it is apparent that Raiden's sacrifice truly was in vain. Shujinko ends his narration saying that he brought the Dragon King his power and that only he alone can stop him.













I suggest everyone watch this as soon as possible.

i seen it looks cool. does that mean that quan chi and shang tsung could be in? cos it seems more possible now, unless raidens blast wiped them out.

i definetely agree that everyone should watch it if they can.

it gave me chills seeing Raiden and the Deadly Alliance working together.

im hoping that in some endings there will be more unlikely alliances.

even though they're enemies,i dont think Raiden would leave 2 allies as powerful as them to die.

cant stop watching it... epsecialy the power of the dragon king... and then the alliance of raiden, shang tsung and quan chi... that was a shocker.. but its worth seeing over and over if your an true mk fan like me

Could Raiden's blast have killed Quan and Shang?

I haven't seen the vid, so sorry if this is a dumb question.

its not a dumb question.. thing is.. we don't know... no sign of raiden, shang, or quan after the blast... so they could still be alive..

maybe a combination of the blast and Raidens teleport caused them to "combine".

could explain why Raiden looks evil.

not sure if i'd like or hate that happening.

I am going to download it soon as I have to wait months for the gc version.

and by the way, original poster, Glacius and Sub-zero, imagine sub-zero with Glacius special attacks :)

Yea, it was really shocking to see Raiden and the DA working together. That was intense as hell. I really hope they all survived, just so we can see an actual alliance beyond 20 seconds of teh trailer.

It also eliminated the debate on who Onaga is... he's the DK!!!!

Wow.. If Quan Chi and Shang Tsund had the powers they used on the video in DA... DA wouldn't have SUCKED!!!

PS; The tripple alliance was cool!

Did anyone notice the Tarkatan for the split-second that they were on screen? After Raiden's blast, they're seen in the distance, watching it all go down. Edit: Check it out around 4:35.

Maybe Raiden chose to fight alongside of quan chi and shang tsung just to try to stop the dragon king? They never said anything about entering an alliance all three of them. But it would be somewhat cool if Raiden now is evil. I think that the mk games have too many good people and too few evil.

And two other things, this is mortal kombat, but there is no blood in the movie when they are fighting:)
and quan chi ́s skull barrier and shang tsung ́s snake could have been a special move/ fatality.

So is this the beginning into when you play MKD?

Can someone write down what Shujinko says the first 7-8 seconds? I think I ́m missing two words.

Heh, Id like to see the cool air hover around subby like it does around Glacius in KI.

Anywho, I finally got to watch the vid. Very cool, and clears up alot about DAs ending.

and what happened to their use of fighting styles? :)
And Shujinko said it was an alliance formed of desperation.

It seems to me like it would be a little harder to use the specific styles in a cinematic sequence like this, than in gameplay. There did seem to be vestiges of fighting style though, like Raiden's shoulder toss, which seemed more like Jujitsu than the whole style in MKDA.

By the way, anyone else find this a little annoying? The outcome of the Raiden vs DA fight was very similar to the Shao Kahn vs DA fight. In both, the outside force came very close to winning, but couldn't handle the DA's "combined strength."
