I was thinking about Shang Tsung's palace in Deadly Alliance. Is it in Outworld or Earthrealm? It is in Outworld correct? If it is, then I thought Rayden had no power in Out World, but at the beginning of Deception in the intro. He has all of his powers.

What does everyone else think? Is that a logic flaw? Are there others in the series of the games other than the endings of course, because the endings don't really count.

Raiden doesn't lose his power in Outworld. That was only in the movies.

Then what was this in MK3?.......

"I cannot interfere any longer as your Earth is now ruled by the Outworld Gods." -The words of Raiden.

I thought that meant he was powerless while being in Outworld. I could be wrong.

I think that since he doesn't have domain in Outworld that he doesn't have his immortality. That's why his MKT bio says that he has to transform himself into a mortal. That doesn't mean he loses his powers of electricity as MKSM and the MK movies and shows would have people believe.

One big plothole, and one that has still yet to be cleared up, is the whole Amulet ordeal. When was it created? Who was it created by? Why does it have a function of controlling Onaga's army? How did it get into Shao Kahn's possession? Why didn't he use it to take over Earthrealm? It's probably one of MK's biggest and worst plotholes.

It meant he wasn't allowed to interfere. That doesn't mean he couldn't still shoot lightning and shit.

The amulet was one of the kamidogus created and used to help beat the One Being. Onaga says it at the end of MK:D Konquest

Onaga never said it was a Kamidogu.

The Amulet is not a Kamidogu as Raiden had said to Shujinko in MKD's Konquest. However, Quan Chi's MKA ending contradicts this, thus leading to even MORE confusion about the Amulet.

In MKSM, it is said Raiden has no power in Outworld. I would think immortality is not a power. Raiden only had power in Outworld in the MKSM game, because it was really Shang Tsung.

As for the amulet / Kamidogu / Quan Chi thing. MKA's ending for Quan Chi said that he was turned into a Kamidogu.

Now I shall try to follow the path of the amulet Quan Chi has.

1. appeared in the temple in MK Sub-Zero
2. Sub Zero gave it to Quan Chi
3. Kahn somehow gets the amulet???
4. Quan Chi picks up the amulet when Kahn is dead.
5. Quan Chi gave or used the amulet to try and get Shinnok out of the Neatherealm.
6. I think that the amulet is a portal, cause there is a huge version of the amulet in MKDA.

Anyone care to add anything else to the list?

Okay, first of all...it's Shaolin Monks. A game who's canon needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Two, Raiden went into Outworld in MKII and he still had his power. As pointed out, Outworld and Earth were merged in MKIII and Raiden still had power. Raiden was in Outworld again in both Deadly Alliance and Deception...and he still had power.

Therefore, Raiden does not lose his powers when in Outworld.

According to Mythologies, Shinnok created it. From the Mythologies instruction booklet:
"The Amulet harnesses the four key elements that compose the nature of Earth. It was created by the former Elder God Shinnok and was used as a key for unbalancing the Earth's furies during his ancient battle with Earth's protector, Raiden."

Since it was initially used as the key to operating the Kamidogu, as Deception revealed, it must have been created before the Elder Gods shattered the One Being.

It controlled Onaga's army because Shang Tsung tacked on a spell that said the army would obey whoever controlled the Amulet. It wasn't created with this power, it was just an ability that Shang Tsung magically added to it during MK:DA when he was transfering the souls into the Dragon King's Army. Says so in Tsung's ending:
"Since part of the soul-transfer spell included the command to obey `He who possesses the amulet’...."

As for the Shao Kahn stuff....I see no purpose in making sense of a trainwreck. I recommend the MK team not bother either.

perhaps we're taking it to literally when it says that raiden had no power in outworld. It could have meant that he had no power as an elder god, not necessarily mean his lightning powers, or his fighting powers.

What about how in Konquest of Deception, Nitara and Cyrax are looking for and find the orb in the Neatherealm. While in Deadly Alliance it is stated they found the orb in Outworld.

The side-missions and cameos in Deception's Konquest are non-canon.

Stuff like Nitara & Cyrax in the Netherealm, finding the Amulet for Shinnok, meeting Fujin and Stryker in Seido, etc.....they don't count.
