You all look like a bunch of whiney snot-nosed brats that need to fucking learn when to get over shit.
You can tell them whatever the hell you want to but its not going to make Kahn and Goro or any other characters magically poof onto your kombatant roster in Deception so you all might as well give this stupid "omg noooooo waaaah they gave gc extras for having to wait so long for it to come out and no online so im gonna throw a shit fit and act like an immature spoiled little selfish brat" act up and get on with your lives.
This whole god damn thing is old, its freaking so old its got mold, and it reaks of stupidity.

I too don't see what the big deal it. I mean if you have the game and enjoy it , keep on trucking. This isn't the 1st time in MK history consoles are a bif different from one another. As others have pointed out MKT on N64/PS2, MKM:SZ on N64/PS2. Hell you can go on and on with this with games like Viewtiful Joe, Spider man the movie game ( the 1st one). In all what I am saying you have a choice. You can buy the game again with new characters in place for a system that doesn't have a online backbone, or keep on playing MK: Decpetion ( the same game that you like for what it is) with Online. Easy and simple and no big deal. Midway knows what it is going to please the GC fans of MK.
I too agree what someone else said here in this thread. I give credit to Midway for releasing a 3rd party game on a system that doesn't even sell 3rd party games on there system. I mean the majority on Cube owners believe that if it ain't made by Nintendo or have a Nintendo mascot in a Cube game it must suck. You can see that the reflection of gaming charts anywhere. Knowing this Midway is taking as risk a risk which mostly won't do that well in terms of profit in Decpetion sales even with the new stuff they added to it won't sell. MK: Deception for GC 9 times out of 10 won't do as near as its PS2 and Xbox counter part, but Midway is trying give Cube owners a chance when though they will lose money of it in the long run. don't worry about if a system has bonus features or not, just enjoy the game for what it is.

Everybody keeps complaining about Nintendo, and you cannot blame them. Ever since MK1, Nintendo has gone their way to ruin the first game by not allowing the blood in the game via a code, and they are probably still slapping themselves in the face on that one. The Super NES version of MK1 was very close to arcade perfect. When MK Trilogy came out there were several missing characters, and some finishing moves were switched around. It was all due to lack of space on the cartridge. Look at the animations, they are missing some frames here, and there, and the sound on the N64 is horrible. Now onto MKD for GC. If you have watched any of the movies online you may notice that some animation sequences are missing there too. Also, a small disc that size can only handle a small ammount of information, that is why many of their games are not too long. For example, I have a wrestling game that has less moves per wrestler in it versus the PS2 wrestling game I have, and a lack of wrestlers too. It all goes down to the ammount of info that can fit on such a small CD that was realy designed for music only. If you ever tried putting a movie on one of those CDs, it won't fit. GC users will get the extra characters, minus online play, and some frames of animation due to the size capacity of the disc.

I can understand extra features for the gamecube version.
But what I cant understand is why they lied or teased super unlockables outside the 24. Its bullshit like that which will make this my last MK game until I am sure they can deliver.

Nintendo could have chose to or not to have online play, Just like we chose to buy a PS2, XBOX, or GameCube. We knew what we were getting when we bought. PS2 and xbox has online play, gc doesnt. SO, all versions of the game should be the same, online or no online. If you chose to buy a GC with no online play, thats your choice. You could've bought and xbox with online play. I think we should all have the same content..... Great letter, and I say DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT!!!

True MK1 for the SNES... was different, but I still enjoyed it. I thought Sub's finisher was really cool, same with Raydens. It got away from the usual "head exploding finisher". Plus look at MK2... the best home version was for the SNES. What MKD/Cube videos are you talking about? There isn't any videos on the net from the cube version of MKD. If your talking about the vids on gamespot o ign or something... those are actually old vids from the ps2 and xbox versions. I own the cube version of MKDA... and there was no missing sequences at all. True the cube version can't hold as much... but every version for MKDA was the same. Just the xbox had a Frost glitch in it. And MKD won't be any different.

Hey has anyone found what Boon said there was at fight night.....extra time based unlockables in konquest. Has nobody tried. I believe Boon in that there is more to unlock in Deception because why would you lie and make so many people hate you purposely. I think he will tell us about them when the gamecube version comes out because it will have the same original unlockables like the ps2 and xbox but also shao kahn and goro.

NOW you have the nerve to write to Midway and complain to them??? What about us Nintendo owners getting the raw deal on this? It's the least they can do to make it up to us! We're lucky to get anything at all!!!!
Stop wasting your (and Midway's) time and be happy. Go hire it if you're that desperate but don't try and ruin it for me and other Gamecube owners.

your excactly right, but i will complain if this doesnt see a PAL release btw im shaw there going to release a mkd gold edition for xbox and ps2 with those 2 characters anyways

why are all u freaks worrying about online play anyway? i'm saying straight out that, it was a stupid idea to have online play! who would actually use it anyway's?eh?
i have the ps2 version of mkd and i could care less if i play that mode. it does not interest me one bit. i would rather have kahn and goro(rather kintaro tho) playable.
i think i'll get a gc, 'cause more characters...more fun!, even tho i have completed konquest mode. i unlocked all koffins, i got all the 12 unlockable characters and all of shujinko's moves. i have everything that i wanted to get in mkd and now it's boring. what i mean is that i beat the game with every character and i have all 24 endings. i also did all thier fatalities(including the stupid/lame-o hara-kiri's). i'm already bored of it, 'cause it's the only mk game i have for it(well mk1 arcade as well,it came with mkd. it was the special edition package).wink

Erm.. how about you just get over it, I don’t see how being able to play the best MK game in the series months (if not a year) before us Game Cube owners counts as ‘punishment’. I’m a huge MK fan but since I own a Cube and live in Aust I highly doubt I’ll be seeing the GC version as soon as it’s released either. Just be thankful you’ve got it.
Secondly: Paragraphs wouldn’t hurt either.

you know what might really help your arguement? the ability to spell at i dunno even a 5 year old level, and create cohesive structured sentances, at the moment you sound like a stupid rabid xbox/ps2 fanboy who takes shots at nintendo when its not worth it. I find it ironic, the member who calls the Gamecube a "kid cube" obviously by way of an insult, is also the one whose shown the lowest level of maturity through spelling, and just decent acceptance.
do you really think Midway said "here Mr. Nintendo, i want to release MK: Deception on the Gamecube, but its going to be exactly the same" and then Nnintendo replied with "NO! you must feel sorry for us because we dont support online play! so what you are going to do is put two characters in... two big characters and piss off the xbox and ps2 owners"
hell no, Midway pitched the idea and Nintendo said "cool"
i love the Gamecube, Viewtiful Joe and Viewtiful Joe 2 are some of my favourite games, and ive never been so excited over a game before than Resident Evil 4, was i pissed when i found all have/will be released on the ps2? fuck yeah, but not because theyre coming out on the dreaded ps2 (i dont like the ps2, purely because i find alot of the games uninspiring), or because they have/will dump alot of exclusive content (do i care that Dante was in Viewtiful Joe ps2??), the reason why i was fuming was because Capcom made all this hype about the Exclusive Capcom 5 hmm -
P.N.03 - Load of dog turd
Viewtiful Joe - Brilliant, but Capcom went back on their word by releasing it on ps2
Dead Pheonix - Apparently not cancelled by hasnt been seen in years
Killer 7 - ps2 bound, but looking brilliant
Resident Evil 4 - Fantastic, but ps2 bound
so yeah, im not annoyed cos those ps2 bound ones may get exclusive content, im annoyed because many people saw the capcom 5 as a possible revitalisation for the Gamecube when it was first announced, highly doubt it now that the only 3 titles that are looking to be/are any good have come/are coming out on a vastly more popular machine.

yea, but how can u say he is not delivering when there is klassic kombat with loads of levels of difficulty and 24 characters with 2 fatalities and a hara kiri, interactive levels including deathtraps, two WHOLE new minigames, chess and puzzle kombat, an adventure mode, konquest, were u can basically explore the ENTIRE MK universe and see basically every character and do loads of missions, the krypt which unlocks a whole load of stuff and everything is ONLINE! there is like 500% more in this game than there was in MKDA and u r saying he isnt delivering because there arent 2 more characters to choose from or super unlockables?

The fact that you're badgering others about their spelling and have so little regard for your own is quite weird. In the above quote you've managed to spell 'sentences' wrong. So I see you're also showing this lower level of maturity of which you speak.
Futhermore, there's your inability to use caps in the appropriate places. I suggest you refrain from attacking others when you yourself are so far from perfect.
There is to be no more of these personal attacks, or this thread will be closed. Keep it civil.

i agree with u, people who bother others about spelling annoy me, what r they trying to prove? 'Hey look at me! I can be bothered to take the time and effort (which isn't really needed) to write proper SENTENCES and then make fun of others who don't for no reason...' pointless???

You suck. Banned.

Talk about some major immaturity. I agree with the topic's first post. If the Gamecube gets extra characters and possibly more extras, then why couldn't they have incorporated downloadable content into Deception's PS2 and X-Box versions? I will end up possibly renting this Gamecube title, but in no way am I going to spend $50 more on a Deception game that wasn't even up to par.

The thing that makes me laugh is that when they originally said that MKD would not be coming to the GameCube, people were saying 'who cares? go buy a ps2/xbox'. Funny how things change, non?

Wow, you guys are going to get so owned with goro when I get mortal kombat for the gamecube. Oh wait what’s that? You can’t play it online.
You people need to grow up. The gamecube is like what 100 dollars? If you buy it used you can get it for $70. So if you rally care about them having the two extra characters get a job save $150 dollars and buy it.
It’s not the fault of mortal kombat fans that own a gamecube that Nintendo doesn’t have an online option. It wouldn’t seem fair for them to get the same game but without online option.
BUT I DONT HAVE ONLINE on my Xbox. IT’S NOT FAIR. That’s your problem, not midways. In my opinion you people are being stupid or selfish or are too lazy to work and get a job to save enough money for the game.
