Here's my concerns. With this "in depth" story mode on the forefront, I fear we are going only get one solid ending per side. So no individual character endings.

It's now known there will mostly likely be no unlockable costumes.

I assume most characters will probably be unlocked from the start.

No other modes.

No mini games.

No konquest.

Soooo...what could there possibly be for content? What could there be for unlockables? Will there just be a story mode and a versus mode and thats it for the game? What are your thoughts?

It dawned on me recently just how unlikely it is the game will sustain my interests. I'm not much for the repetition of gameplay at the best of times, let alone with an MK, so that leaves me with an irrelevant plotline, tiny cast, and as far as we know, no sideshow distractions.

Hopefully they've got something hiding up their sleeve. My one night play through of MKA was almost exclusively dedicated to Konquest mode, and that game had sixty-four playable characters in it.

Although, I'm sure in-game distractions like the recently revealed Joker/Shao KahnShaoseid laugh-off will be hours of fun for the whole family.

They never officially stated if there was going to be an arcade mode. If there is, then we should have a ending per character.

I would be honored if, instead of hypothetical conclusions or story progression, we were treated to a panning kata. Superb!

Why can't there be an

Arcade Mode - Character Specific Endings.
Story Mode - MK or DC ending.

There definitely can be. But...it's midway.

You new people are missing my point. The amount of moves they have isn't unlockable content and something that supplies replay value.

Yes, how long will it take to try all the moves?

About 30 seconds.

achievements only add so much replay value. Sure it's fun to try and get them but eventually it's going to get boring. So far the only replay value for the game I can see is online play unless there is an arcade mode or survival or something.

I'd like for them to actually a VS. CPU mode after all of these fucking games. How about a practice mode which isn't shit? Essential things that should've been back in Deadly Alliance that still haven't been in.

This.

Besides, they are are throwing all of their efforts into the gameplay this time. That's what we wanted all this time, didn't we? As long as we have a solid gameplay foundation for this generation of MK games, everything else can be added on top of that.

Also, look at it this way. For the MK team, this is a huge chance. A chance to test drive the new engine,to experiment with gameplay and mess around with some character ideas. Even moreso considering that it's a non-canon crossover project.

Now,let's consider the next (hopefully) canon MK9 game, the actual relaunch of the series. Whatever things worked in MKvsDC will go in there. Whatever things didn't work will be fixed. MKvsDC is,effectively,a guinea pig.

And as far as alternate constumes are concerned,I wouldn't be surprised if they're saving them all for MK9.

Never. Ever.

I conveyed nothing. I merely stated the obvious in comparison if you think about it. However there seems to be a good deal of enthusiasts here....
