Since we've seen the Dragon King and his lair, here's my idea.
Allright, you get to the sub boss, and it's none other then Reptile gone Beast Mode, and crazy lookin'. He's all dragon-monster like and you're in the DK's realm, but the spikes aren't there. The stage is bigger and there's no pitfalls, yet. Now while fighting Reptile, whom is under the DK's Command/Bodyguard, you eventually kill him. As you do this, he stumbles to the sides, and they begin to crumble, sending him falling into the spikes. This bringing about the spiked ring around the Dragon King. Reptile's Hiss of Death brought about the DK's Awakening and brings him down to fight you.
Whatcha's think? And don't say "Reptile is the DK", because after seeing those shots, I don't think he is.

I mean it did say something happened to him, but we can pretty much see he isn't the DK. It's so much different. They also said the creature would be playable, and something new...They never changed a playable character into a monsterous sub-boss, so it's new. They've never done it before. Plus it's been mentioned Reptile will be in the game (Playable.)

Great idea, man. I think it would be great to see Reptile in that role. I also do not believe he is the Dragon King. I see Reptile in a servant role to the Dragon King. Reptile of course would be more powerful because of power transferred to him as the egg hatched. He should have hyper speed and some really crazy attacks.
Awesome idea once again.

Smart person. Someone who doesn't argue with common logic. Reprile is the Dragon King, so stop trying to say otherwise. It doesn't matter how different he looks.

Exactly.

And who says the Dragon King STAYS in reptile? No one likes reptile in the MK Universe... so maybe the DK felt Reptile's body was innapropiate and went to his tomb, got in his old body, and BOOM! now the DK is not reptile any more. It's been done more than once

| Wanderer Wrote: DAMN! That looks hot. They remind me of Darkstalkers characters to some extent as well. Needless to say, they could fit in as sub-bosses though. |
YES!!! reminds me of the Merman guy.
they look ok... but they would fit better as bosses than sub-bosses. Sub Bosses are usually all brown, no brain. Although it's gonna be HARD to find a monster with more brawn than the DK
I like the idea of Reptile being the sub-boss but in the end of DA his ending involves being possessed by the DK. So, unless they go against that, he IS the DK!
To be honest I'd prefer it your way, with Reptile as the sub-boss but pumped up. Or maybe go the other way around, keep the all brawn no brain boss as the DK and have someone sleek and swift as the sub.

Those pics are awesome! If the bosses looked anything like those guys I'd be happy! Reptile could very well be the sub boss of MKD considering what's happening with him.
