I played a guy called MK*** or some shit like that. I won the first 2 games then on the YES/NO screen, the game disconnected. When I saw him in the lobby again, then noticed he had a record of 255 winning streak and he's number 4 on the rank list, but my god, was he a bad player or what?!

I could swear so many people would cry if gamespy resets the stats every month like on the XBOX. It'd be funny to see their streaks DIEEE!

I tried playing again yesterday at aound 2200hrs GMT and got 'Server error message'. Did anyone have the same problem?

Yea the last two days i was online i had the same shit. Server Sux!!
But we are already used to that. Shame on u Gamespy and Midway.

Yeah, I get that exact same messages since two days now. I hope that, while fixing their problem, they reset the stats. Now that would be cool!

Well, it looks like the server is pretty dead. I go on rarely now and see 1 or 2 people sometimes or even no one. And there's only ever Monk to play. Even SS and others liek darkside aren't around. Let's hope MK8 can keep it's life faster and perhaps even be universal server wise.

It's a shame! I've invested so much money in buying my slim PS2 and now I'm seriously thinking of throwing it out the window because MK is the only game I ever play on it. I tried to setup a tourney to spice things up but to no avail.

I've been playing my XBOX 360 more. There's life there. Even DOA4 is feeling good again. I'll hold out for another 4-5 weeks before making a call on whether or not to call it a day on PS2.
