This is my latest character concept. I just want some opinions on the current working as I'm not too happy with it myself. It's not ccomplete and only part of he bio is here. Zodiacs look hasn't been done either as I'm still unsure of what he should look like. Any ideas are welcome. A complete version will be posted at a later date.

Special Power: Zodiac possesses the ability to Summon the power of the stars. The star signs grant him the use of several powers which he can unleash in battle to help him.

The Rules of the Summons

In order to use the powers of the zodiac, their powers must first be summoned. Then they must be unleashed for their power to take effect. Throughout this time however, Zodiac is vulnerable to attack. Unleashing of the power does not have to happen straight away. It can be saved for later.

1) To use the powers of the zodiac, the appropriate sign must be summoned. With a cry of ‘I summon the power of (insert sign)’ Zodiac summons their power. A bright light strikes his body and his body absorbs the power, and then he is ready to unleash the signs power.

2) If a Summons is interrupted, the power fades and the Summon must start again. Timing is the key to a perfect Summons.

3) Only one power from any sign can be unleashed at a time. Therefore, if Leo’s power has been unleashed, no other signs powers can be unleashed until the power of Leo fades.

4) In contrast to rule 3, more than one Summons can be stored and saved. For example, you can Summon Leo and then Summon Taurus. However once again, their powers can only be unleashed one at a time and the next only after the previous has worn off. In this way, Summons can be built up and saved ready for later use.

5) If a sign has more than one allocated power, then only one of its powers can be used. Once a power is used from any sign, that sign cannot be summoned again for the rest of the match. Zodiac must choose the power he wishes to unleash wisely.

Sign Summons and their powers:

Taurus (The Bull):

Speed Boost/Dash: Zodiac is granted a temporary speed boost. The extra speed allows him to unleash a dashing attack which ends in

Gemini (The Twins):

Double Team: Zodiacs power is halved, and a clone of himself is created with the other half of his power. This lasts for 5minutes and allows for some two on one fighting giving Zodiac an advantage. After 5 minutes the clone vanishes, and the remaining half of Zodiacs power is returned to him.

Cancer (The Crab):

Shell Armour: Zodiacs body is coated in an aura that halves the damage from physical attacks.

Libra (The Scales):

Pain Split: This attack is normally used when Zodiac is taking a severe beating from his opponent. If he can unleash this power, Zodiac unleashes the Scales of Balance. The damage inflicted upon himself and the opponent is equally divided between them both. Therefore, Zodiac would be given a second chance at defeating his opponent.

Aquarius (The Water Carrier):

Water Veil: A protective blue aura appears around Zodiac and then fades. This invisible wall halves the potency of projectile attacks. This applies to energy fireballs and elemental attacks only. The impact of the fireball is halved along with its power. Sub-Zero’s Freeze attack would last for half the time and also would only freeze half the body, still allowing for attack.

Bio:

Zodiac was born to a Greek mother and father who knew nothing of their sons powers upon his birth. However others did. The members of the White Lotus Society, Lin Kuei, Red Dragon and Black Dragon had all known of this prophecy. It was said that this child was a child of the stars. He would possess the powers of the stars themselves and one day would help lead a greater force of good or evil. His future was one shrouded in mysterious. It was the intention of these clans to raise this child and use him as they saw fit in their conquests. They believed they would be unstoppable. First, they had to obtain this child.

The four clans had sent out members of their group to acquire the child. They had to make sure he was brought back to their bases unharmed. His parents were to be killed and anyone that saw them was not to be left alive.

Four groups invaded the small town in which Zodiac lived. Of the four, the White Lotus managed to escape with him. A fight had broken out between the members of all the clans, as they confronted each other in Zodiacs home. Two of the Red Dragon members had killed his parents who had been out on the streets. Zodiac was with a babysitter. She too was killed, but at the hands of a Black Dragon. The Black Dragon had come in from the main entrance. The Red Dragon broke in through a window upstairs. The Lin Kuei approached from the back, whilst the White Lotus members had decided to be patient and had witnessed what was going on a distance.

The Red Dragon, Black Dragon and Lin Kuei warriors broke out in a fight as they approached Zodiac. Zodiac was still only a baby and throughout the fight he cried. In the end, it was the Red Dragon members who triumphed. Only two of their group of four were left alive. As they fled the town, they were ambushed by the white Lotus members who killed them and took Zodiac for themselves. Normally a peaceful clan, the White Lotus had broken some of their own rules in order to obtain this child.
