yeah, they said that 24 characters will be SHOWN at the character select screen. IN MK:DA there was 21 characters shown at the c screen, 2 of them hidden, and 1 non-playable...

I think 24 is a good number. MKDA 21 and i wuz happy with that. I think 30 characters would get to boring.
dear kiddies,
24 is a lot for a fighting game. as others noted, this is not mk trilogy. you should not focus on the quantity of the fighters but rather the depth to each one. making each fighter unique and worthy of being in the roster should be the most important. i would rather have 15 entirely unique and well-balanced fighters vs. 30 fighters where some fighters just have a few different moves than another. blaze is a perfect example of a piece of poop we did not need. he is just a mix of other fighters with his own original polygon model. whoopee. and...do you really think there is time to make 30 endings, of which most here want fmv which takes up plenty of space not to mention time to make, 90 unique stances, at least 60 fatalities, etc?
be happy. boon is giving fans plenty of extras beyond what most fighting games offer.

24 fighters is plenty. Besides youll be busy with the puzzle, chess, and MOST importantly of all, Konquest!!! dont forget you make a character in this mode, making it 24 plus one custom!!! and maybe you can have MULTIPLE save files for your knoquest so in essence you can have ONE custome GUY and ONE custom GIRL and so forth...think about it.
