A few returns....

I'd like to have a new fatality where Jax rips your arms off. Maybe he could beat you with them like Quan Chi did with your leg in MK4, but that fatality needs to come back.

I'd also like to see Sub rip your head off with the spinal cord dangling again. I know it's been done to death, but the classics never die.

I'd like for Raiden to have his original back, where he just makes your head explode and blood gushes out like a geiser.

Aside from that, new ones are hard to come up with. Evisceration is something that hasn't been fully explored. Maybe someone could pull out your intestines and they keep tugging them out and they just keep coming.

To me the actual idea isn't as important as the execution. I mean, I don't like anything that is utterly stupid and urealistic (read: Quan Chi's neck stretcher). Something simple and real is good. Also key to the success of a fatality is how the victim reacts to having it done. I always like the ones that involve lots of screaming, twitching, whatever. The response is more important than the action itself.

Something as simple as Scorpion slashing you across the chest with his sword and the victim clutching his chest and screaming as blood gushes out could really work if done properly. I think slitting a throat would also be something new to the MK world. Or simply Jax shooting someone in the head execution style could work.

Some other things that would be cool that haven't been done in the MK world yet:

gouging out eyeballs (Kenshi could do this)
shoving an icepick in someone's ear and scrambling brains
cutting off just the top of someone's head
scalping
cannibalism (not sure who could do this..maybe a monster like Moloch)
suffocation (by strangulation?)
drowning (could be a stage fatality)
involuntary surgery

just a few ideas.

here is my idea for a scorpion fatality, he does the toasty fatality, and they start screaming and try to run away, then see spears them, and while they are comming at him, he pulls out his sword and cuts off there head. Just my idea

I've got a bunch for Sub Zero. You may have seen these before.

Water Syphon: He firmly grasps his opponent's wrist, then flash freezes all the moisture in his/her body, removing it in the process. Every single drop of water is shown pouring out of his/her body in a floating stream, and being absorbed by Sub. Dehydrated to the max, wrinkled, and gray, opps body crumbles to the ground and falls apart.

Ice Shredder: Sub grabs opp by the throat, and force-feeds ice down their throat, coating his/her insides with a thick layer of ice. He then steps back, crosses his arms in front of his head, then spreading them out in a rough motion, manipulating the ice to quickly spring out numerous long spikes all over the frozen layer, which completely shred opp to pieces with the spiked frozen body sculpture falling to the ground and shattering. (got part of that idea from Blade.)

Ice Clone Beatdown: He creates 7 ice clones of himself, and sends them over to ground opp and pound the ever-loving shit out of him/her until reduced to nothing but a mass of blood, organs, and mutilated limbs. He then absorbs the clones back into him, and does a cool pose.

And Finally, the Piece de Resistance...

Frozen Abyss: He summons a huge amount of Kori energy, then aims it at the ground, creating a super deep ice pool that appears to cut into the earth's crust, but doesn't. He then rams his fist into the ice, breaking the top layer and sinking the opp. He seals it up, and forces opp down to unimaginable depths at a high rate of speed until the pressure explodes them and turns the water and the top ice layer completely red. Sub then recollects all the ice, filtering out all the gore, which lay on the ground.

I have a very twisted imagination.

he shoves his hand inside the opponents body, moves his hand a little bit, n freezes him, n u can hear ur opponent like scream n try 2 fight it, n then he could suffocate or sumthin

Scorpion Weapon Fatality

Finish Him (or Her)!

Scorpion (at a pretty large distance) throws his spear at the victim. The spear catches the opponent in the chest (this is all dramatized) and you hear a loud crack as it breaks through the breastplate. Blood pours out through the new-found whole in the body and the vic screams. Scorpion says "c'mere" and tugs on the rope connecting to the spear in the opponent's chest and the vic comes flying toward him. As soon as the opponent gets within a couple of yards of Scorpion he pulls out his Ninja Sword and holds it perpendicular to the vic, waist-high. The vic, still reeling forward from the tug, reaches the tip of the Ninja Sword and lets out another blood-curdling scream (miracously he does survive being impaled in the chest, this is Mortal Kombat after all). Scorpion now holding the sword with both hands pushes the sword all the way through his body and more blood gushes out. Then Scorpion in a that ghostly voice of his says, "good-bye" and splits the opponent's stomach open.

Fatality!

Here's a new one I made for Kenshi...

Kenshi backs up and focuses on his energy. He then puts one finger on the side of his head and the other he points at the victim. The camera then moves from Kenshi's finger down to the victim's feet. The camer enters the victim's body thru his/her feet.

The camer goes up to the victim's lungs and inside, all of a sudden, you hear water start to flow inside of them, then the water surrounds the camera and the lungs explode. You then start to hear the victim gasping for air and the camera starts to shake.

The camer then goes up the victims heart, and then you hear what sounds like a sword slicing an object then the heart explodes. Next the camera goes up to the brain. The camera turns to it's left and you see Kenshi thru the victim's eyes, then you hear the same sword noise you heard with the heart, then the eyes/camera fill up with blood and you feel/see the victim fall to his knees.

The camera then exits thru the top of the head and you see blood gusing thru the victim's eye sockets, mouth, and nose. He then falls on his face.

Mavado Weapon Fatality

Finish Him (or Her)!

Mavado walks over to ppponent and pulls out hookswords. The vic sees the hookswords and begins to wimper. Mavado takes one hooksword and plunges the tip into the vic's eyeball and then the other hooksword and does the same. The opponent lets out a long blood-curdling scream. Mavado then takes the hookswords and takes a couple of steps back. The vic moves with him. Mavado then conjures up some strength and jumps back violently. The hookswords in the vic's face come reeling out (along with his face falling off). The vic falls forward blood pooling up under him.

Fatality!

Reptile: Invisible slice revisited: Reptile leans foreward and roars, while slowly becoming invisible. The opponent regains composure and tries to guess where reptile is. The Camera pans behind them, and as they spin around, they are lifted in the air, and seem to be choking. They kick futiley for a few seconds, and then they are slashed in two (kinda like in MGS when the Ninja sliced Ocelot's hand off). The legs and waist fall to the ground, along with allot of blood. Reptile drops the opponents, and becomes visible, and starts eating the opponent while the words "Reptile wins" and "fatality" appear onscreen.

Scorpion: Toasty
Was I the only one to miss this fatality? I hope not. As usual, Scorpion takes his mask off and breathes fire, then puts his mask back on. It engulfs the victim, who runs around screaming. After a while they falls to the ground, crawls allitle, and moans weakly, still on fire, as Scorpion watches. Scorpion walks over to the now silent and still (not to mention skeletal) corpse, kneels, and grabs the skull of the victim, and apparently uneffected by the fact that it is burning, he crushes it with his bare hand. The fire dies down, leaving a pile of ash. The words "Scorpion wins" and "Fatality" appear onscreen. Dan Forden pops in and says "Toasty!"

Here are some fatalities I've posted before.

Sub-Zero - could create a large ice cycle, slam the opponent on it, drop him on it, what ever works, and spin his body on the ice cycle making him slowy slide down to the bottom of it.

Jax - could squeeze the opponent's body or neck untill thier eyes pop out and their head burst, or he could brake them in half over his knee. How's that for the ultimate gotcha or use of brute strength.

Scorpion - could throw a red hot spear into the opponent's body that burns them from within, there is a brief, but violent flame, he pulls them over with a come'ere and the body of ash crumbles and is still smoking

Baraka - Fatality 1 could cut the front half of an opponent's face off, and then replace it with the mask of a nomad.

Fatality 2 He would cut a whole in the opponents chest so you can see his heart beat, then he grabs it and eats it!

Fatality 3 He could use nives to care an art work out of the oppenant, don't realy know what it would be, but something bloody

I think these fatalites could be dramatic, new, and fresh if carefully, and if given the right look(realness) as in mk2

Some times the fatality cam sucks because it magnifies some of the bad polygons and the cartoonish look.

With the fatality cam, do you think it still makes the fatality feel as if it is a part of the match, or does it give the fatalities a sideshow feeling, bringing close attention to it and not fulfilling it's potential

Also think they used too much music during the fatality, It would have been great to hear creative sounds that come from the fatality itself, then they can play the dark dreary music play as the blood drips from the fatality sign.

Bo' Rai Cho Fatality

Finish Him (or Her)!
Bo' Rai Cho walks over to the dazed opponent and turns his back to him. Cho grunts a couple of times and lets out a long and loud (for lack of a better word) fart. A gaseous green cloud floats from his backside and up to the nostrils of the opponent. Bo' Rai Cho lights a match and throws it at the opponent. The green cloud catches on fire as the opponent inhales and the fire burns the vic from the inside out. Blood-curdling scream and after a couple of seconds the vic collapses into a heap of smoking remnants.

Fatality!

I think that Sub-Zero should keep thefatality he had in DA but when he reaches in and grabs their spine but then freezes it while the oppoent's skeleton is still in his/her body then rips it out.
Another good fatality to see 3-d would be his fatality from MK3 where he picks them up over his head, freezes them then shatters them.Or he could do them same thing but instead of cracking them in half he should through them down or against a wall.
Scorpion- A remake of the one where he has all of his clones come and beat the hell out the opponent and leave nothing but a battered cut open and all bloodied body would be cool in 3-d. Maybe the one where he had the Hand come up and take them to hell would be sweet too.

The kiss of death has been over done. A new fatality for Sonya and Kitana would be nice to see.

Title of Fatality: "Internal to External Hell"

For: Scorpion

Scorpion would make a sadistic demonic laugh.
Scorpion would then launch his Spear through the opponent's stomach letting the Spear remain impaled in his opponent. The victim screams in agony. Scorpion then removes his mask revealing a flaming skull, blows fire on the rope sending flames screaming down the rope towards the victim. The victim then begins to burn to death from the inside out with flames bursting out of the victim's eyes, mouth, and ears. The victim would then explode in a massive fireball. The bones are then shown falling back to the ground except for the head. The camera would then zoom in on Scorpion's face where then you see the head fall behind him.

FATALITY!

Jax Fatality Finish Him (or Her!) Jax (at a distance) pulls out an AK-47 and aims at his opponent. A red laser dot appears in between the opponents eyes. The vic looks at the dot (of course it's a cross-eyed look) and begins to sweat and wimper. Jax then says, "nah, I'm just playin wit you." The opponent lets out a sigh and eases up. Jax then pulls out a grenade launcher and the jaws of his opponent drops open. Jax squeezes the trigger and launches a grenade into the mouth of his opponent. Screaming (albeit a muffled scream), the victim begins a frantic flailing. Jax then squeezes another trigger (the detonator) and the grenade explodes leaving a headless corpse to fall backwards to the ground. Blood gushing out his neck-hole. Fatality!

How about makinh Scorpion grab the rope with both hands and then he lets out a loud yell and his muscles get a little larger, and the ground beneath his feet crumbles and flames surround him completly from the bottom of his feet to his head. Then you hear Scorpion give out another loud yell, this time the complete firball that once was surround Scorpion, shoots down the rope and when it gets right to the victim, it turns into what looks like a demons mouth and it gives the impression that it's eatting the victim, then the victim falls to the ground.

a sub-zero fatality- he outs a ice cage around him/her and they start yelling at him then sub makes little ice spikes and the person laughs then sub makes the spikes bigger which goes through there body making blood go start gushing out of the cage. an then the person head flys up and sub catches the persons head an holds it up as a trophy

i dunno why-maybe its cause a lot of morons have now left this site-but the best bunch of fatality ideas ive read in one thread is all in here. the only thing i dont think will ever work is the things with the guns...unless theyre made weapon fatalities. other than that id sure like to read more of these.
(i actually cringed at the thought of a couple of these-you people have fantasticly twisted imaginations)

A new take on the arm ripping...

Jax walks up behind them and grabs their arms and holds them against the victims back. He then procedes too kick the oppenent in the back, upon impact the body falls to the ground, yet the arms remain in Jax's hands.

Liu Kang:Liu Kang does a massive roundhouse kick that sends his opponent spinning(not unrealistically like Kabal's super spin)as the opp. stumbles around dizzy, Liu Kang does a sweep that knocks his opponent off his feet and before they hit the ground he hits them with a fireball that sends them into the ground, leaving a body print in the ground.FATALITY!

A Fatality for Sektor.
His chest doors open, and out comes a large steel like fork, with three edges. The edges are like blades, ninja sword blades. He moves the steel fark swiftly from one side to another, slashing the opponent. However, it's not noticed right away. First the opponent looks a bit confused, then blood starts to show, then the opponent falls to pieces, Ghost Ship/Resident Evil style.

Stage fatality for Kenshi: Obviously we need a stage where the a character can be impaled.

Kenshi uses his telekentic powers to lift the victims. Next, he slams the victim to the floor, which causes some blood to spill. Then, he uses the toss to slam him into wall, which causes more blood to spill. Finally, one more toss onto an item that impales for the finish with the mandatory scream and blood spillage.

Tell me what you think about this:Shang Tsung throws the opponent onto the ground and then raises some spikes, but the opponent raises up on their hands and feet, just enough so that the spikes don't go through them. Shang then walks over to them adn blasts a fireball or something of that sort and they are impaled.

No offense or anything, but exactly how much time went into that idea?

about 3 minutes. i think they should put alot of time into the fatalities to make them interesting.remember some of the fatalities from mk 3?

Mercy!

Instead of killing, your character leaves. For example, Scorpion could do his teleport but not reappear. The dizzy opponent comes to and each character reacts differently.

Kenshi, "I am dishonored" He would then stab himself.

Jax : Not worth it am I? Screw You!" Shoots his gun in the air.

Reptile would look around then disappear and we hear quick foot steps run away a la Simpsons.

Kitana :"Well, wasn`t that nice?"

Johny Cage, "What a terrible ending!"

Other lines : -oh you`re kidding me!
-Sinister laughter
-You`re not that good!
-O.K.?
-(The word Fatality appears on the screen and the character starts washing it off with a cloth. "I don`t think so!"
