I friend of mine did an interview with Hector Sanchez, associate producer on Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe recently and I though some of you might like to see it. It covers how it's been working with DC Comics, and what the teen ratings means for the level of violence in the game, among other things. Hope you like it!

Good stuff, though.

you know what? FORGET posting new interviews exclusively in the http://www.mortalkombatonline.com/content/forum/showmessage.cds?id=115330 thread. That's STUPID. New threads in the forum serve the purpose of highlighting these individual interviews, collect them if you want in that single thread but the threads themselves shouldn't be closed. It's RIDICULOUS how many threads get closed on this site and it's completely illogical. It's not like SO MANY threads are flooding in every damn day that threads are being pushed to page two DOZENS at a time. NO. The SAME THREADS from LAST WEEK are still on PAGE ONE, and those threads were the SAME as the WEEK BEFORE and the week BEFORE THAT. The REASON for INDIVIDUAL threads are to bring specific INDIVIDUAL attention to these INTERVIEWS. Wrangle them for the other collective thread but DON'T close them.

The administrators need to learn how to run a forum.

Study Midway's forums, that can be a start.

And further more, thank you, Benke, for bringing attention to this interview with your thread.

I'm not liking how he said that they kept the goriest Fatalities for another MK game. To be honest, I like the direction Midway is going with this game. More gritty and realistic Fatalities, than over the top and gory ones.

Well, I didn't come up with it, so don't tell me this. I'm not a mod.

And here's the thing, I don't mind gory. But yeah, the shock value wears out. Like Bo Rai Cho's fatality in MKD, it was like, "Holy crap... What the hell was that?" the first time I saw it. Awesome in its own way, now it just got old.

I do, however want to see gory. Old school kind of gory, like Kung Lao slicing someone down the middle. What they should focus on in the next game is bringing that gore to a new level. To have actual intestines spill out, and blood that drips realistically.
Fatalities like Kano's heart rip should leave a big, bleeding gash in the opponent's chest.
Scorpion's, or any other fatality that sets the opponent on fire should leave them a charred corpse, with what look like realistic 3rd degree burns.
Stuff like that, is what I want to see in the next M-Rated MK.

Great interview; The gameplay looks better than ever, seems like a lot of fun, and the animations seem to be very much improved.

Finally they show some Kitana gameplay. I already know that like Sonya, Kitana is going to be a combo monster. Could have sworn that I saw her do a flip kick for a counter on Joker. Looks cool. I'll probably be playing her the most. Especially online.

A cool looking bicycle kick pro move by Sonya.

Bizarre and Disturbing fatalities. Even though they wont be gory I still want them to retain that wow I cant believe he done that factor like what the Joker did. Superman needs a very good 2nd brutality. Baraka needs a long slow death fatality like he had in MK2.

I'm glad the MK team is thinking of gory fatalities to put in the next game. They need to give me call. I have some fatality ideas for their ass. Many users here on MKO have some pretty awesome ideas for fatalities as well.

Next I want to see a Kitana vs Wonder Woman match.

Interesting interview overall.

Not sure how long you've been around... And no offense to the mods, but it used to be much, much worse. Back in the days when Deception came out, I'd see like 3 different threads get locked every day.

Sindel was mentioned; I think - and hope - that points towards a cameo of her dealing with Superman.

Maybe she's a downloadable character.

I doubt it. She was just mentioned as an example of a magic MK character
