Some interesting developments we have here. Smoke lost his soul when he became automated right? My guess is that Noob Saibot had Smoke become part of the Brotherhood of Shadows. Once he joined the B.O.S found a way to give Smoke a soul using Noob, thus in a way their sharing a soul. I'm not quite sure how this would work but this in an MK game also its the B.O.S a very mysterious group so imo its very possible. No matter what the deal with Noob and Smoke is i believe very strongly that Smoke has become part of the B.O.S. Smoke and Noobs costumes look very much alike and the symbol on Smokes boot only makes me believe it more. Also i love the idea of Smoke being evil again. Him pretending to be an ally of Sub-Zero to assinate him sounds amazing great speculation. With the absence of my boy Reptile Smoke will mosty likely be my favorite character in MK:D so i hope that boons statement dosen't mean that Smoke and Noob are the same character just different coustumes and i also hope that they don't have the excat same moves and what not. I'm very excited to see whats going to come of this.

Off the topic of the Noob/Smoke conspiricy, this could be further confirmation of a deeper combo system. It says that they will have odd combo moves and juggles. So this means that they will be set apart from other people not just by they're appearence, but by they're combos!!!

It clearly said *they* will play similiar, implying two seperate characters. Also it implys that he meant play wise, whether it be stances,moves,combos or juggle combos being similiar.

I'm certain he did not mean they are one person, otherwise it would have been worded totally different.

Dont worry. Noob and Smoke are totally different, and are 2 seperate characters. Its just implying that there might be some similarities in moves, juggles, style, ETC.

I think that Smoke might just have similar special moves to Noob in UMK3-MKT, like his teleport, shadow throw, cloud disabler, etc. Those moves would fit Smoke's ability to control smoke just as well as Noob's shadow abilities. So Boon might have just implied that both characters were Scorpion clones in MK2, and then in UMK3-MKT only Smoke was close to Scorpion, now in MKD Smoke will be more of a copy of Noob than Scorpion.
