Hey DrDogg, asked you questions about what DoA top-level would look like and would entail before on tecmoforums as well as posting some on doacentral and read your stuff on tekkenzaibatsu. Cool stuff that you got your hands on Konquest, a few questions again. =P
1) You said large worlds, but really, how much time do you estimate does it take to get through one?
2) Are keys easy to find? Do npcs ever tell you where the key is and at what time you get them or are they random?
3) If Shujinko retains the previous challenger's stances and moves, can you backtrack to regain others to overwrite them?
4) After you finish (if you've finished) doing all the main quests, can one load up Konquest as the 60 year old Shujinko to find the remaining keys, subquests, etc.?
5) How long do you think would it take to just try to unlock all the characters and stages?

So moves are customizable for Shujinko? He will have the ones he learns. Will there be an option to de-select the ones you don't want to use?
Say I want a Kitana/Sindel/Sub-Zero-type Shujinko - can I set him up to have only their moves?

Konquest is starting to sound hella cool. I really wasn't interested in it until I read that. I can't wait to play it.

Yeah sure, thanx!
It appears a great way to learn all the fighters, since you are them when you train with them.
So what is Shujinko doing when you transform into the character you are training with?

Konquest mode is sounding like Majora's Mask. In that game certain items were only available for short periods. So if you miss something in konquest do you have to start over or can it be replayed? If you have to start over I'm definitely buying the strategy guide.

A pretty good preview, I like everything you said except about how everyone will have unlocked everything in Konquest within the first week and then will have no reason to go back to it.
This is entirely untrue, because I really think that it will take several months before we find everything if they're as hard to find as you say. If an hour is a minute, a 2 or 3 minute span to find a key isn't long at all. Also, I suspect that there is much more hidden than you'd think, they went the extra mile this time.
I expect to be finding secrets in Konquest mode 3 months after its release and maybe longer.

One week was more than I expected. I thought it'd be 1-3 days before we'd never have to see Konquest again. Which is a good thing in my opinion, I just want to fight, not run around in a spare world doing delivery quests, mundane training tasks and such for unlockables.

HDTran...
1. If you just did all the mandatory missions and no side missions, you could get through one world in probably 20 minutes. 2. The chests that aren't time specific can be found with a little bit of exploration. You get no hints at all as to where any of the chests are. 3. Yes, but the fighting isn't difficult enough to worry about that. I was able to complete almost every fight with just throw (whiff), sidestep counter attack, throw/combo.

So, you're telling me in a brief time you've unlocked almost everything? What about super unlockables, etc? Midway HAS to have something up their sleeve.
I think there are many more secrets than you would think.
Who knows, only time will tell.

I have one question. If Shujinko fights and trains with any charcters that are not the basic 24 characters? I mean not only see them or talk to them, but fight with them on the arena. For example, Jax (there is one film that shows you "prepare for kombat" when you stand next to Jax), Kitana, Kung Lao.
I have a few questions:
1 - Super characters are unlocked in Konquest or we have to do something else? Have you unloccked super characters. If yes, who are they?
2 - Arenas, how many arenas are unlockable?
3 - Raiden has his signature moves or not?
4 - How many bios are hidden in the krypt?
Thanks

Please give us a reasonable "hint" of how many PLAYABLE characters there are in the game.
I saw in a video commentaried by Ed Boon that Shujinko used Liu Kang's Kick, Sub-Sero's freeze, Raiden's fly/dive move, Scorpion's Spear, and Ermac's Levitate Slam during battle.
That was cool as hell, by the way.
Will Shujinko have all the moves in the game? Or will he have one select move from every charcter he trains with in Konquest?

True.
If you want replay value, try going through Konquest WITHOUT the strategy guide, instead of going through and getting everything/everyone the first time around.

I don't plan on using a guide. I was just hoping there would be more random battles/side quests after finishing Konquest(unlike MK:DA- you finished and that was it).
