I have two more questions:
1 - In the Krypt, all the coffins have something worth of it or have crap things also.
2 - There are any puzzle kombatants to unlock?

Thanks a lot, DrDogg. I had a ton of questions about Konquest and this thread has answered just about all of them.

Maybe Midway just "said" that there would be no super unlockables just to surprise everyone when they do so.

However, Boon has stated in several interviews that there are MANY more characters than the 12 you start out with and the 12 you unlock on the main grid. One magazine stated the game has a "torrent" of hidden characters. He said there are many more characters, and you don't get them until way after you're done with Konquest mode. I think either Midway is lying to you, or there are many things you haven't found yet. They would want to leave some things secret, right?
If it turns out you are right, I will be very upset.

I am sort of depressed at the idea that "super unlockables" may not be true. Heck I have never read a solid source about there being Super unlockables. It won't affect the overall enjoyment I know I will get for this game. no super unlockables - -_- + :.( = :.(

How many PLAYABLE characters are in the game (don't have to state names)???

Good stuff, man. I'm happy that i won't need to spend a whole lot of time trying to unlock everything in konquest, i'd rather just fight online!
Quick question though... Is this your article? At first I thought you might have been an employee, but they fire those who talk about their games online and you mentioned you were told things by midway. I'm just curious as to how you're playing the game.

DrDoog your article says Konquest is ok and addictive, but can't stand alone in a own game. That's ok. MKD still be a fighting game and Konquest should be addictive to some extent.
My question is: Kombat Chess and Puzzle Kombat could be entertaining too or we put them apart after a few hours of play?

Boon said in the last Gamepro that in Konquest you can unlock 'button combos for fatalities and hara kiris'.
Given that you said you unlocked all but 19 or so of the koffins, and you have played through Konquest already. Using common sense and math you can see that you havent found everything.
If there are 19 koffins left and you haven't seen any fatality or hara kiri button movements, that would mean that in those 19 koffins there would have to be both fatality and hara kiri movements for all 24 characters. Highly unlikely....
Im sure youve spent alot of time with the game, but unless Boon was blatently lieing to our faces, you haven't done everything in Konquest.

SETI1... Puzzle Kombat is Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. IMO... that was the best puzzle game to date. While Puzzle Kombat is slightly watered down, and not quite as fun as Puzzle Fighter, it's currently my favorite aspect of the game.
Chess Kombat has a good deal of strategy involved. I like that aspect of it, but if one player is much better at Kombat, then they will undoubtedly win at Chess Kombat. There's a good amount of strategy in character movement, spell usage, etc, but it still comes down to taking a square with standard kombat.
However, I was NEVER a fan of Deadly Alliance. I think it's crap compared to other fighting games like Tekken, Virtua Fighter, and even DOA (for hardcore players, it's great for casual players). While the combat aspects of Deception have been improved over DA, it's still basically the same gameplay. So I may be biased toward my outlook on this.
