he is an artist, he makes a living off of his art, on top of that he makes his own beats(mostly D&B I believe and some psy-trance) on top of that he plays MKA with me almost everynight.

you left MKA complaining there ain't enough comp but truthfully that's when the comp was actually starting to rise. couple of months after that announcment I played you 2.5 games of course you quiting in the middle of the 3rd game complaining about lag. my tag was BOOBTIT.
anyway I don't know how fast your internet connection is but if you have somewhere between 5-10Mb connection speed your lag should be bareable.

I dig the up-beat/hardcore electronica, I'll check out yourmyspace and tell you what I think.

check, that is what DJs do. "jack" other people's music and mix,alter and mash it up to give it a new sound and feel. Most DJs do not produce their own music.

Funkopath, MKA sucks and no the comp was not rising. If you believe this then we must be on different servers. Dave,Jade-Own,Drumz,K-rob,G-roy,etc quitting = comp level down. At MKA's prime there were 5-7 TOP LEVEL players at the max, and maybe 10 or so pretty good ones. That is about 15 players worth fighting. That number dropped to about 4 when I quit if that. To be honest your name does not ring a bell to me, but if I quit in the middle of a match there was definitely enough lag to warrant me doing that. Never liked this game enough to play through lag, and by the time you came around I had nothing to prove, limiting my chances of fighting through lag significantly.

What makes or breaks most DJs is their transition. Do you know what that is? My partner is very good at it. I am getting better with it myself.

If you're trying to get into the club like we are(more him than me), producing your own music isn't the way. You do that by mixing known songs. By doing mash ups to show your creativity and with wise track selection to catch the eye of promoters. My partner has played at several parters, and he's almost exclusively gotten his exposure through myspace. Not so much of a waste of time, eh?

Look up Sasha and Digweed's legendary Northern Exposure mixes as well as their individual Global Underground mixes. These men are two of the most acclaimed DJs to ever live, and they started off mixing other people's "jacked" music.

What we do is original. Production will come in the future, but you don't get into the club producing music. At least not in this genre. Making our own shit will come afterwards. Right now we're focused on producing innovative,original,creative and coherent mixes and mash ups.

I don't suppose you've heard Glamorous by Fergie or Finished Symphony by Hybrid. if You did you would know that the mash up was a success from an execution stand point(and sound standpoint from the positive vibes I've been getting). Then again, I'm not sure you even know what a mash up is.

The people who know what's up and aren't ignorant about electronic music have shown me love.

Been down this road with you for MK, so I'm not going to take it any further with that. Anyone who played MKA/MKD that matters knows what's up. Some people lagged for me while I lagged for some others. That's how online play works. It's my choice to decide whether or not I want to play through it, and I'm not obsessed enough with the game like SOME people to play through bs.

There's a world outside of MK believe it or not check, but be careful when you go outside. There might be lag out there, and just like you blame lag for everything in MK you might end up doing the same thing when the real world is even more ruthless.

i did not make those beats tho. i simply mix them, remix them and do mash ups.

for example, my finished symphony glam mash up is finished symphony by hybrid with a heavily altered sound and a glamarous by fergie samples. i also use a small london bridge sample as well.
