MKD died when MKA came out, and MKA's going to completey die out when MK8 comes out; assuming it's gonna be a better game.

I don't think Syn1k plays anymore as well. Bone is gonna completely go back to Xbox the minute Riu and Dan stop playing. I don't know about my brother. He might leave after Bone is gone, but I don't know. He says PWR is one of the big factors why he still plays this game. I might stop playing this once I get converters for my controllers so I can use them for my PC and play 3S, T3, and KI with Arcade and the others, but it's not that likely I'll put this game down, since there's 1st stance battles, which is what I'm really into now. Other than that, we're still strong. We just don't have the elites around.

There is nothing strong about a game that doesnt have its elites around.

Well... its not exactly a big community that plays 3S. The only people that have made it to 3S from MKO are Versa, Yayo (though hes banned), Lone, Jago, and myself.

It would be cool to see more heads.

I know Dan is probably gonna get hooked in with KI... so that would be cool.

Anyway, get that converter. I would like to see what you and your brother are made of.

Problem with this is that there is a huge gap in between the skill it takes to play MK and the skill it takes to play Street Fighter,Tekken,Soul Calibur,Virtua Fighter,King of Fighters, ANY of those games. This is a fact.

So in general, top level players in MK translate to average or below average players in the other fighting games. Sometimes just initially, other times permanently. I'm average in 3S as well as Tekken.

So, with that said, average MK players might translate into terrible 3S/other fighting game players. What is the point in trying to get people here to play when there's plenty of comp on Kailera, anyway?

Now I know.. this been a while since I saw versa on here.. so Wassupy Irish boy?! lmao jk with ya i remembered the last time I stated stuff like that. Also my Cousin does those mixing and stuff he sent me i believe one of the things he done, but the other he has a friend also does mixing too so good luck!

Oh, and Versa, you make a pretty good point with that. Tekken and SF are very technical games, while MK is a kid's game at best.

You were talking to me on MSN about MKA being just as hard as Tekken, Street Fighter, ect. You are far from the truth. MKA has easy ass combos, and mechanics, while a game like Street Fighter takes skill to perform basic combos. You have to know about buffering even with the most easiest of chain link combos.

MKA is nothing... and dont take it to offense if you like it.

I respect you Phil, your a really good guy. However your opinions as far as fighting games go are a slight bit ignorant, and need to be looked into further. I'm glad I was able to help you out with 3S, and I'm sure as hell hope you got it running. You'll see what a real fighting game is.

MK1 came out when we were early teens.
I used to play MK1 in 92 in Iran on a Game Boy cuz my next door neighbour happen to be half American.

It's obvious, there are much better fighting games out there, and we will play them someday online too. when a brand new PS3 is purchased.

Yeah, I know what you mean, Tekken is in a whole other league then the 3D MK games. The only Decent, balanced, non-broken (argue if you want about the broken thing, I will prove you wrong) MK game to play is UMK3, which is the best MK game for gameplay and high level play. And lets face it, UMK3 gots WAY more comp then MKA.

What I noticed about fighting games is, that MOST of them need updates. Like MK3 was broken but then when it came to UMK3 it was balanced, same with Tekken 5. I think all broken fighting games need new versions or updates.
But that will never happen with all these money whores nowadays.

But yeah, converted from a fighting game to a completely diffrent type of fighting game is a strange change.
