Soul Calibur fans complained about the guest characters in their games. But Namco doesn't give a shit about the SC fans. True story.

I have to agree that I'm still amazed that people are still so against the whole MK Vs DCU thing. Capcom did it with Marvel. Super Smash Bros are all Nintendo characters plus the odd guest. And they actually want more guests in future series. And yet they have toned down the OTT violence just a little and all hell breaks lose. It doesn't matter We have Batman and Joker in a fighting game with our favourite ninjas. BUT THEY TOOK OUR SPINES AWAY FROM US!

Yeah... Now what i'm gonna say is a strange and really strange thing:

Ppl are complaining about these things lke "how can Kano is defeated by Joker" and "Joker is strong?". Does anyone think how in the game the character can block Sub-zero's ice blast just by putting his arms in front of him?

So, y complain about this? I think they would have made Joker's attack damage a bit less like they did Sub-zero's in MK4, but that's all they can do.

yeah being on SC forums when they announce guest characters is WORSE than being here when you find out reptile isn't going to be in a game over jax, it's like beyond going ape shit. i'm against guest characters in SC too but i actually support MK vs DCU.

however no one had any reason to complain when they made the marvel vs capcom games because firstly the roster was fucking huge. no characters were lost, they didn't at any point say "we can't possibly have chun-li, AND cammy. one of them has to go!" or did they keep anyone from appearing because of less iconic status.

also with those games neither marvel or capcom had to take anything away. which i assume is why people like professor ankha thought that a MK vs Marvel game would be better. with MK vs DCU we see mortal kombat (midway? ed boon?) having to be toned down to fit into a mold that DC wants. and as MK fans i think we have a right to be angry at that, it's like when someone takes your favorite book and rapes it until it's a hollywood movie that doesn't resemble what you loved anymore.

so yeah just saying there's a reason why people didn't go ape shit at previous fighting game crossovers. this is really the only one where the actual fighting game had to change something about itself to fit with who they were crossing over with.

Joker looks, acts, sounds and plays fantastic! His laugh is amazing, his expressions are priceless, and did you guys see the face he made when Deathstroke made fun of him??? LMAO!!!!

In regards to Sonya, I’m seriously the happiest fan ever right now. Her voice acting is superb and her model is simply outstanding and gorgeous.

I seriously loved this video. Joker already is one of my favorite characters of the game and I’m dying to play with him and see him in action in story mode.

While it does feel annoying and stupid to see the Joker all of the sudden beating everyone, I do understand why they had to do that with 3 of the most lethal MK warriors.

Everything is part of the idea of making it clear to the player that this whole rage thing and the events that are taking place are really big and something to take seriously. I mean, here we have the Joker, a character who could never stand a chance against any MK character, but he is beating Scorpion, Sonya and Kano. 3 of the most aggressive, best fighters and well-known characters of the series. The point of this is to let you know that there REALLY is something going on.

I do find it unnecessary to have him undefeatable against all the MK characters ad even fighters such as Deathstroke, I see all of that ALSO as part of the whole “Joker promotion”. It’s kind of obvious why they are doing it and that it is indeed very important to make him stand out like that. What better way then facing some of the best and actually beating them.

I’m interested to see what happens...I’m dying to know actually.

Joker is PERFECT!!!! I’m loving him, but I just hope they don’t exaggerate him by making him beat everyone, because that felt quite ridiculous, but hey, it’s part of the whole point of the story, so its easy to understand and accept. Joker rocks!

I agree that Scorpion shouldn’t had been defeated that easy, but he isn’t more “impossible to imagine defeated” than Sonya and Kano.

I agree but people aren't just bashing the roster, but the whole idea.

If the sight of Ryu or Ken air juggling the 1500 lb Juggernaut from Marvel comics wasn't enough to deter gamers, what makes you think MKvsDC will? Both concepts are out of place yet, some gamers have immense amounts of fun playing Marvel vs Capcom 2. Why are you guys taking this game's concept personally. The creator of the game has already stated his reasons for doing the crossover.

Either get over it and play the game or simply do not buy it. I'm pretty sure at some point, you have played Marvel vs Capcom 2 and loved it. Play the game before you judge it. You just may love this game too.

1.- AWESOME nut-stomp by the Joker. OUCH! Did you hear the sound?

2.- Wicked cool victory pose!!! I love the confetti coming out of his hands.

3.- The acid and the flower was a great touch.

4.- Now....is it just me or did ANYONE else notice the very-noticeable bulge/package in Deathstrokes you-know-what when he is lying on the floor defeated?

There is something ultimately pleasing to see Scorpion's ass brought through layers and layers of concrete by the Joker.


The voice for Vandall Savage is growing to be fine, and this video had better quality I think.

But like I said, I have to play the game to see if I really have a problem with Tsung's voice, because, so far, I feel it's cool. I really don't see/hear what's so bad about it.

So much hate for a game that's not even out yet... so much ignorance... I thank God none of you here are official Video-Game Reviewers. I can imagine all the butchering you would apply-- "This game is absolutely horrible! I hate every aspect of it! The cutscenes are horrible! It looks and feels VERY stiff! It's repetitive and has no replay value!! This game is so bad that when it actually comes out I won't even bother actually playing it! Why does Boon have to ruin everything!? He's ruined MK, he's ruined my life! Where is all the ridiculous unrealistic fatalities with all the Jello-blood and body explosions? That's the only reason worth playing MK! BTW, the cutscenes were fantastic! So much depth and character into these stories and cutscenes, it looks like their really giving it there best here and I'm happy. The more I watch these the more I love the game. It looks great! I can't wait to get my hands on it next week!

I love the part where he throws that bomb on the ground while fighting Scorpion. The way he does it is so Joker-like and the music really suits the thing.
