Well, I like Cyrax and Smoke equally, I'd be happy with either one.

So long as Cyrax has the green net, that is. The MKDA version was weaksauce.

With Lex with practically all Sektor's moves, will be Cyrax or Smoke. MKD Smoke will be awesome, but Cyrax is more... politically correct. Black Adam too grin

I'd like to know how you think Cyrax is more "politically correct." If you're talking about the race thing, we've already got Jax. Cyrax will most likely be portrayed with his helmet on, essentially making his race a non-issue.

It's a tough call on who will get in, though. I can see Cyrax having more relevance to the story, chasing Sub-Zero and possibly getting an intro to Special Forces and their role in this conflict.

But the Joker already has Cyrax's bombs (same effect, different look), which at this point probably doesn't mean much, but the bombs are a Cyrax staple. Smoke could bring his own special smoke-based moves in to play, but I can't imagine him being remotely linked to the storyline in this game at all.

You're thinking of Deception Smoke. You need to think about MK3 Smoke. He came from a much better, more personal angle in relation to Sub-Zero and the automation "send his former allies to hunt him down" plot than Sektor and Cyrax did.

I don't care which version of Smoke would make it, honestly. Cyrax has more relevance to the world-crisis. Smoke would, by comparison, be out of place in this game. Just like Baraka...

If they did put Smoke in, I'd want to see some cool new moves.

How does Cyrax have more relevance to the crisis than Smoke? They have nearly the exact same origin story, only one volunteered and the other was forced.

Unless you're talking about later when Cyrax joined the Special Forces. That isn't the Cyrax we'd get. Biography-wise, they're only using the early versions of the characters.

Quite personally, I expect move-sharing from DLC characters. I foresee Sektor in the future.

True, they do have similar origins, but this game does like it's little allusions to the future. A "Deadly Alliance" partnership, the Armageddon pyramid, Jax becoming full cyborg...it's more likely that they'll toss Cyrax in and give him some sort of introduction to the Special Forces or its base in his current mission for hunting down Sub-Zero.

Lex already has 3 of Sektor's 4 moves. I can understand a single move, but that is just overkill, even given the MK team's history of move-sharing.

If it were one move, and one not so completely defining of the character, I'd consider the possibility.

yeah one move isn't bad. but i believe totally and completely that they'd have a character share four special moves.

Sounds like he recognizes a few of the latest threads on the boards. That was cool.

I liked how much he considers what people are already thinking. That's cool too.

The two gameplay engine thing for a possible MkvsSf game sounded interesting too. Good to hear him consider the integrity of each games' feel.

Good to hear him relaxed, and able to just talk about the game for once. Good interview.

Yeah, he is reading the forums, taking in consideration what people want, he realised that his decisions are important and he enjoys creating MK games. He found his old passion. That's all it matters. He is not selfish anymore, he listens to the fans and combining it this with his new ideas he creates. Go Ed, Go ! grin and convice Tobias to work in your team!

Crying "rape" ain't gonna work with me, son. Nobody ever fucked you in the ass so hard that two characters in Deception, Shaolin Monks, or Armageddon shared almost all of their special moves. It's been one or two at the most. Learn some perspective.
In fact, I seem to recall they totally designed all new moves for Kintaro so he wouldn't be a Goro clone.

If we do get Reptile in the near future, which is likely, the mk team had better give him his damn force balls. That was always my favorite Reptile move and remains one my all time favorite mk special moves. I love in umk3 how it was a liquid looking energy sphere. It would be so cool with next gen particle effects.

I was so disappointed in mk4 when he didn't have it. Then come mkda and I saw the iguana/shark looking Reptile and I just really hated it. Then I got kicked in the balls again... no force ball.

Mka I love that the mk team listened to the fans and actually took the time to add the mksm Reptile costume. I was so happy, but then after they did that right they still manage to disappoint me by not including his force ball.

Once again unmitigated joy was present in my heart only to have it ripped out of my chest cavity followed by the ball kicking yet again.

That's what I love about the internet, the chance to interact with the fanbase, and couple that with the fact that for all the things the mk team screws up, it seems like Ed and company do listen to what we have to say and try to give us what we want somewhat.

(Except for that whole mk vs dcu thing of course. I don't know, maybe you heard about it.)

Midway is closer to death than any time before .So dont even think of any DLC becasue 89% there wont be any DLC .

I just hope that the MK team is picked by a better CO which gives higher budjet , longer time and better overall .

From one fan of exact sciences to another, I'm curious what figures you used to come up with such a precise statistic. I mean eighty-nine percent exactly? Why not 88 or 90? How can you be sure? It's just so exact!

There was your link and there is what I think :

Having less than a month to rise the sharing is just impossible .Looking by how fast it went down it realy hard if nor impossible to save the CO now .

Now to make a DLC for a game that hasnt reached half million copies yet is just onother wast .

Just how many would care to buy Quan Chi or Kung Lao specially the DC comics who bought the game and vice versa to DC charcters .I personaly wont buy a DC charcter and this is the opinion of many other .

Dont get me wrong no one here loves MK as I do .I have bought the PS3 just for MK VS DCU .it is the only game I have and will be the only one till MK9 .

Yes, yes, that's all very fascinating, really. I'm on the edge of my seat with all this stock market business.

But none of it answers my question. Which of those numbers did you add together or multiply or whatever it was you did, to come up with an eighty-nine?

I don't think you understad. Being delisted from the New York Stock Exchange doesn't destroy the company. If they don't make it above a dollar, it'll be bad for buisness to be certain but it's not like they're going to refuse to make dlc on the grounds that their company name isn't in the pretty lights in time square.
