I'd like to see Rain come back with a new look, but not the way you put it. Noob Saibot killed Goro, and that's canon, so I doubt that they'd change that part of the story just to bring back Rain.

I would love if they brought back Rain. He was one of my favorites when he was around. I was really good with him, and would love to see him back. I would also like a new look, not as a ninja, but more like ninja, but made of mist or something like that. I don't know. He shouldn't be human.

I really can't see Rain as anything other than a villain. I mean, he was Kahn's general. Kitana didn't have any other choice but to obey Kahn. Also, I could be wrong, but didn't Rain betray Kitana's homeworld?

Anyway, if he were to come back, he has to be completely redone. I think his powers should be more broad, and cover all the elements. Raiden has already trademarked the thunder. Maybe that's why I wasn't all that crazy about Frost(Although she was a cool character).

I see what U mean...but hey, maybe Rain could help Kitana and they could have a lil relationship startin and maybe the new "Liu-Kano"(or whatever U call him) get jealous and that ultimately leads to him bein villian....sorta like a swap...Rain to good and Liu Kang to bad....

In his ending, Rain was confronted by Kitana and told that his father was a general in Edenia's armies until he was killed by Shao Kahn himself. Is it canon? I don't know, but that could be a good enough reason for Rain to join Kitana's new armies and become a good guy.

YES! Rain deserves a second chance. He does have potental. But rain didn't kill Goro though.

Rain was kidnappeed by Khan/Kahn and taken to his palace and made him a general in his armies. Over the thousands of years as a servant and slave of Shao Kahn/Khan... he finally cracked. He became cold, evil and a jerk really.

And anyways, I never really liked Rain. But if he were to return he could have many possibilities (some of these crazy and pointless)

1) Sindel could of died of something and she needed a replacement. Rain becomes king with Kitana. So, this will also effect his looks (possibly). He would wear... let's see... he would basically look royal, yet with a tweak of a warrior.

2) He could become captured by the dragon king and forced to work for him (by possessing him. He would also be a hidden character) Not a really good one though
