"Problem: MKDeception is not coming for GameCube.
Solution: Get a PS2/XBox.
Problem solved."
No, that is an ignorant solution. I will not buy a console just for one game.
"well out of all 3 systems.. i think gamecubed did the worst.. i could be wrong but thats my theory.."
That's an opinon, so yeah it is just your theory. Some people perfer the Gamecube's exclusives over PS2's exclusives but that is just thier opinion. Nothing wrong with that, everyone is different and has different taste in games.

To bad I would have gotten MK6 Gamecube, but I will have to get the PS2 version. If it is true about Xbox's price dropping to $99 this April i will get myself an Xbox and get MK6 for itNow that Midway has broken 1 of my dreams by canning MK6 for GC , there are 2 others they can break. 1 frost not being in MK6 and the 2nd is that MK collection wont come as well. |
Frost4584 there's still a chance frost might be in it though. the only confim characters are baraka, mileena, scorpion, subzero, unknown red ninja, the female character dressed up almost as raiden..so it leaves room for possible frost being in there.if the xbox does drop to 99bux ill pick up one for myself as well. yup it's damn shame gc wont get mk6.

Yeah igncube did contact midway and they said no cube version is planned. I never said that one wont be. I just said the chances are slim. So whatever dude.
| Raven900 Wrote: Ummmmmm, yes it is. I am pretty sure Nintendo would be willing to pay Midway because Mortal Kombat/Nintendo have a long history and seeing a Mortal Kombat game not on a Nintendo system would be weird for me at least. |
Well, I hope you're not too sorely disappointed when it doesn't happen.

Its sad that you wont bother to play MKdeception just because youre in love with a system that isnt even worth bothering taking a look at twice. The sad reality is that when midway arcade treasures somes out, I will have all the MK collection on ACTUAL DISK, and here it is:
MK1 2 3 trilogy 4 5 and 6, mythologies, (and Im still trying to get jax.)
Try growing up and seeing that nintendo is a total failure, and wont last long in the market, like the sega dreamcast. You can bash me all you want, but the truth is the truth, and you cant deny that.

I guess what Im saying is that there is no source to confirm it wont come out for the cube. |
YES!!! u r right! that's the attitude!!! :)

it's not like we are "in love" and taking sides... it just pisses me off that they exclude 1 out of 3 consoles... (especially mine)... and we can't just go arround buying new systems for only 1 game!
you're not an mk fan if you pass up the next game because it isn't going to your favorite system. you should be lucky midway even put mkda on the gamecube with the struggles they've been having. how many other companies besides tecmo have put out a fighting game on all three systems? i don't see their fans bitching about buying a ps2 for virtua fighter or tekken because they're real fans of the series. but hey, if you want to pass up a great game because you're a bitter fanboy, go for it. but systems are cheap these days and you have to be really poor to not be able to afford one.
save up then. did you people cry when mk was only in arcades before it hit home systems? i'd imagine most people spent over 200 bucks on each mk arcade game easily. so why not just save up and buy a system? i know that's what i do when i want a game. i bought a dreamcast for mkg and an xbox for mkda. hell, every system i buy is based on atleast one mk game. it's totally worth it to me because i'm FAN. not a FANBOY.

Systems are NOT cheap... they are cheap if u buy only the EXTEME basic... bu then u need a memory card to save, another joystick and blah blah... and u end up spendin a lot....if i could get one just like that I would... TRUST ME! i'm 16 yrs old, my dad is a super-money freak.... just begged for like 1/2 a year for a new comp, since mine was falling appart (literally)... most of us can't get a wole new console just like that...
Although if I did I would defenitly go for PS2

I, honestly, am scraping by through college and barely can feed myself, buy text-books, pay rent, car insurance, gas, social activities, etc. I usually have about $10 extra bucks a week. How the hell am I going to afford an entirely new system and MK6? MK6 may be worth a purchase, but it's not worth buying a new system for. Besides, I'm not giving up hope. They just said they aren't developing it for Gamecube. There's this little term I like to read: "PORT." Go ahead and shudder. It's natural. Fatality.

People people, I just dont understand.
If youre a working human being, you can basically buy MK6 in one full working day, and a system in about 2 working days max. Am I missing something here? I thought for a minute you guys were talking about real estate.

Just because someone won't buy a new system for one game in a series doesn't make them any less of a fan now, does it?
Whatever the reasons, its not usually worth buying a system for one game alone, so its completely justified to be annoyed that the one system you happen to own is being singled out.

I still dont understand. The system is on 2 of the 3 systems. How can you miss?
The simple fact here is that Midway is obviously not the brightest people when it comes to making potential buyers happy.
Why did MKDA do so well with XBOX? Huge monster fan boy base, thats why. Why did it do so well on PS2? Huge monster fan boy base, again. HELL, last Christmas PS2 sales outdid Gamecube. Lets think of the logic on this -- the OLDEST of all systems, performancly inferior to the Gamecube, and 100 bucks more expensive. Why is it selling so well? Because game makers flock to it, and they flock away from Gamecube because as much as anyone wants to DENY it, Microsoft, Sony, and Gamemakers alike want to see Nintendo fall. What's pissing them off is that it's NOT falling, so major game makers punish em by making their games for Sony, Microsoft, but not Nintendo. It's not that Nintendo refuses. It's that the game makers simply don't want Nintendo to benefit from their game when they know there's a monsterously larger fan base on other systems.
Ergo, MK6 is just another example of this. Midway has been planning to stop a lot of production of all games for that system. WHY? Not clear. I believe they simply must not like Nintendo that much.
However, for all of us who DON'T want to buy an XBOX because we don't want to support a rather crappy invasion of Bill Gates trying to manopolize another electronics genre, and for all of us who don't want to buy the next MK game on the PS2 (I played MKDA on PS2, and owned it on Gamecube. It was far more polygonal on PS2, and it moved with better framerate on Gamecube), those of us who admire the control and capabilities of the Gamecube will SURELY be pissed. This is just another example on console wars affecting entertainment.
The sooner these companies like Sony and Microsoft STOP trying to become the one out on top, the sooner everyone else around will be happy. Nintendo and Sega never fought so viciously for games, or to totally annihilate the other. I once got a responsful letter from Nintendo saying "The longer companies like Sega exist, the more you the buyer benefit from our friendly rivalry, and therefor Nintendo would never wish for a merger between our two companies." Well then Sega started making Sonic games solely for Nintendo for a while. Peculiar. ANYWAYS ... Nintendo had the right idea, and still do. It's sad the affect console wars our having on us all, and finally us MK lovers are getting a taste of it.
