Noob Saibot is... (HUGE SPOILER)
Noob Saibot is... (HUGE SPOILER)
Noob Smoke's Ending:
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
With Smoke as his template, Noob Saibot planned to return to the netherealm and use Smoke's nanotechnology to create an army of Cyborg-Demons. He was unaware that they were being followed by someone Noob had not seen since before he became a wraith. Smoke instantly recognized their visitor, he was an echo of their past. He was Sub-Zero, Noob Saibot's Brother.
Noob Saibot was surprised to see how much stronger his brother had become. If he were still Lin Kuei, still human, he would probably have shown some degree of pride. But as Raiden had revealed during the ordeal with Shinnok's amulet, his soul had become tainted when he died at the hands of Scorpion.
Noob Saibot, the original Sub-Zero, had descended into the netherealm free of compassion. He ordered Smoke to assist him in slaying his brother, his first act as ruler of the Netherealm.
So there you have it folks; Noob Saibot is the wraith form of the original Sub-Zero. I was so shocked when I found this out. I know most of you will consider this shit stiring, but unlock Noob-Smoke, and beat the game with them. You'll find the exact same ending awaiting you.

Great plot twist!
That explains a lot... I wondered how a demon of the netherealm could program Smoke
That helps to explain also the UMK3 ending of Classic Sub-Zero, which said : upon taking his mask off, he was a warrior who had fought in the last MK, and one who would return in MK4.
And also ties with the fatality Noob had in MK4.... the same freezing fatality Sub-Zero (the younger) had...
John Vogel Wins! Outstanding Twist!!

Hello all, Long time Mortal Kombat fan stuck in Australia and stuck waiting till November 19 for this game *shakes fist*
Now to the subject. I can honestly say I never ever suspected it for a second but it does make sense. Maybe thats why Noob Has always been a favourite of mine.

Wow! That's amazing! Does anybody think this was planned since MK2 or just thought of for this game? Anyway, that is one of the best endings ever and I can't wait to see where they take this now in future games. I pick the game up later today when I head out! Must play now!

...You just blew my MIND.
That is one of those "wtf???" plot twists that comes along very rarely in MK. The only other one that comes to mind is Liu Kang's death. But the question that will haunt us until MK7... did the ending happen? Because that's a pretty big tease from the MK folks if it didn't.
Wasn't it in Classic Sub-Zero's UMK3 ending that he was a warrior missing from the game? That lead to suspicions of Raiden, Johnny Cage, or even Baraka... but Noob is in the game. Oh, well. Guess the ending remains non-canon.
Still, GREAT plot twist.

That's just....awesome! The original Sub-Zero is my all time favorite. His goody two-shoes brother has always been incedibly lame, and the fact that Noob was awesome already...just makes me love him that much more!
Long live the real Sub-Zero!

Funny. Fans were bitching and bitching and never-endingly bitching for the original Subzero to return. Little did they know that he was right under there knows, playing a part in virtually every MK game. If that's not irony, I don't know what the fuck is, lol.
Anyway, it wasn't really a shocker to me. After hearing three million people tell me "Beat the game with, Smoke! Huge twist!", I pretty much figured out what was going to happen. I just put two and two together.
By the way, all you guys who flamed the user who prophecized this twist owe him a serious apology.

Unless the user is secretly John Vogel??? lol
As to whether this ending really happens or not...
If i've learned anything from MK games...even if an ending didn't "completely occur"...the main points of an ending could still hold true...
Ex. Sub-Zero doesn't die...but Noob is still now known as his brother.
However...this is one scenario, where, this ending can happen, because it just happens between two characters, major players like the DK, aren't even mentioned...
It brings up alot of interesting possibilities, for MK7...will Sub-Zero return? Will he come back as a brother of Shadow? Will he retain his memories of his former life, and seek revenge against his brother, Noob Saibot?

It explains nothing of Classic Sub-Zero since, as far as the story goes, Mortal Kombat Trilogy overrides the preceding two versions of MK3 and both Noob Saibot (now revealed to be the older Sub-Zero) and Classic Sub-Zero were in the game. Unless of course, Classic Sub's appearance in that story is non-canon (like Human Smoke's).
As for the plot twist, I'm "meh" on it myself. Granted I've yet to play the game but I like spoilers. I don't get pissy over them. When I heard this was I surprised? Yeah, definitely. However beyond the initial surprise I was more or less "Oh, so Noob is really the older Sub brother. 'Kay."
