Well, as for her soul changing the mummy's appearance, then why in Kano's and Shang Tsung's endings do they show DK soldiers looking like mummies? I know they are not canon, just a "what if" type of scenario, but still...

And the armor she's wearing doesn't look too much like the undefeatable army soldier.
