Yeah Vers it has been addressed in numerous postings ;). I like the idea myself, but like Xalibar says, then it begs the question why she doesn't look particulary mummified... Oh well, we might learn a lot from E3!

It'll be interesting to see what Li Meis role is. I like the idea of her being a soldier for the DK. Being a rouge soldier makes her even cooler.

The question remains as to why she doesnt look mummified. i'd say that perhaps either 1. her will was so strong that she managed to manipulate the body or 2. the dragon king was impressed by her skill and returned her human form

Probably not. If he soul was put into another body, she wouldn't be in her own body now. She looks like Li Mei to me, not an undead soldier. That could just be her own armor.

Well, it's obvious that DA didn't happen like the endings seem to think it does, so it's entirely possible she's a dk soldier and didn't lose her soul (maybe the DK has some sot of mind control).

After all, that Hotaru guy is supposed to be a DA soldier and he certainly doesn't look mummified.

she is indeed another one of the DK army people, plus we have hotoru. great one male, one female.

she looks badass now and after hating BOON for putting her in when she looks like mileena, well now she looks badass and different and i cant wait to play as her since she is associated with the DK. that ending is true, cause we all know she didnt win the tournament and the DA whooped her ass, and the DK is deceptive.

i couldsee the DK turning on the DA and then quan chi using the amulet to somehow bring shinnok back to 3v1 the DK. sounds weird but thats what it looks like its coming to in mk7 IM OPINION.

and another thing KONQUEST WILL NOT disappoint, that damn konquest looks badass as HELL.

i am glad li mei looks great though, cause i thought she would be a waste of space.

also, if you notice i am surprized nobody mentioned that the fatalitys didnt have POPCORN BLOOD. LOL nice work midway. but they have the same fatality music and the stage gets dark.

You don't know that, idiot. Perhaps the soul of the person that is in the soldier presents itself through their exterior.

I kinda don't think she was mumified, because she doesn't look like a mummy. In the MKDA intro, they ressurect one of the mummies, and they still look like a mummy.

I strongly doubt they showed the full soul transportation in the opening FMV.

Mabye her soul was put into a mummified soldier and her body is being controlled by the Dragon King.

Mabye the Dragon King offered to revive her village in return for her help.

Either way her new costume looks badass.She might even become one of my favorite fighers.

Prehaps as a gernal of the DK's army she will be given the ability to mask her mummy look and take the form she had before.

Maybe her spirit was strong enough to take control of the body and manipulate the apperance?

The DK soldiers in DA are mummified because they've been dead and sealed up for eons.

It's obvious at this point Li Mei didn't lose her soul, and thereby kept her own body. Probably because Shang and Quan got took down before they could finish ress'ing the army.

She doesn't have to be mummified to part part of the DK's army, she could just have joined, or be under his control or whatever and have never lost her soul.
