How exactly would Tie Gou Chuan fit Sareena other than it being designed by and for women?

I thought of a possible fatality idea for Sareena.
It ties into an idea I had a while back about Sareena having trouble controlling her Demonic instincts and not liking when she loses control of herself. Sort of like how Wolverine has trouble controlling his beserker rages.

The fatality would be Sareena suddenly starts screaming and transforms into her Demon form, then bum rushes her victim and just starts ripping into them like a rabid animal. Basically tears them apart.
Then when it's done, she transforms back into her human form and slowly backs away like she's horrified at what she just did.

I like the idea of her reacting to her fatality with horror instead of just doing some weird victory pose or something.


I like MKKitana's idea about Sareena's weapon being Chakram. She should have a pair and they should look something like this:

Sareena is a cool character. I am glad she is back. :)

Theres two ways i'm seeing this!

Sareena will save Subzero life again, but this time from Frost

or

Visa Versa
Frost redeems her self by slaying Sareena from killing Subzero.

I think Sareena will be good in this game. Why else would she cling to a human form.
She envy's the human races.

i never played Sareena before but MKKitana told me a lot about her. Cant wait to play her in MKA. She could be my new favorite character.

Well, to be honest, i hadnt really thought of them in that great detail. I thought of these moves etc a long time ago. I guess it would be a great idea if the moves had some kind of special effect like knockback/stun etc.

I like that idea for a fatality too. But Im not sure, but it seems Sareena is now fully in control of her form. her MKTE bio says she was able to maintain her human form without Quan Chi's sorcery so Im not sure the problem would present itself. It is a possibility though. perhaps she could willingly turn into the demon.

And as for the weapon, well I didnt know the proper name for Razor rings. those ones you posted look pretty close to the idea I had for her. I do like the kama she used in MKM:SZ, but well nitara has the Kama, and I like her with them. I'd prefer people had diofferent weapons.

I just hope to god that they DONT give her a sword.

Any way possible. I think it would be a good choice because Sareena is afar from the most recognized MK females. Making her style unique would also mean different thinking about her.

Thanks. I don't necessarily mean she can't control her Demon form...more like she has trouble controlling her temper. And her Demon form is triggered by her losing her temper in the heat of battle or something to that effect.
Once she calms down she immediatly turns back.

And I agree. i hope they give her a unique weapon and not just another sword or something.

I never thought of Sareena using her demon form in a fatality. It could be the new Liu Kang-inspired-transforming death move. Cool, I like the sound of that. Or, her demon form in an alternate costume. That would rock my socks off.

I actually am waiting for a lashing weapon in MK... a whip, a chain, a hook, ANYTHING that wraps the enemy!!! And I think Sareena is the perfect character... but due to the number of characters and the amount of memory... I think Moves/Styles/WEapons WILL REAPEAT
So here is a PESIMISTIC look at Sareena:
Moves:
Backflip-No different than Mokap's or Scorpions
Fireball- Either a pink fireball like Kira, or a Ping Flaming Skull like Quan Chi
If we're lucky, some kind of teleport

WEapons:Sais/Daggers

Styles: The frost one that starts with Y.,,, Yung Yingwhatever

Here is my OPTIMISTIC VIEW on Sareena
Weapon: Whip/chain
Styles: I don't kno... anything... I don't really care

Attacks:
Black Fire (like Scorpions Fire breath kind of thing)
Death Glare- A shiny fireball that comes out of her eyes
Nail Slash- Her nails quickly grow forward and hurt the enemy

I just had a thought regarding Sareena.....and rather than start a new thread...

In MK:TE, they explain after escaping the Netherealm, Sareena regained her human form by "absorbing the living aura of the realm."
They don't specify whether or not absorbed energy from people or just the land....but could this mean that Sareena is actually a succubus?

Could this become a factor in her storyline? Could be a problem if Sareena wants to earn the trust of Sub-Zero and his allies...since subbuci are best known for seducing men and sucking the life out of them...

Maybe they could incorporate it into he rmoves or fatalities....although it might be too similar to Shang Tsung's soul-steal....

That would be pretty cool. I don't think many would like the idea of yet another creature like that in MK though. Look at Nitara's reception. Sareena is already a demon, so would making her a succubus really be overkill?

I'm not sure about overkill, since a succubus is a kind of Demon. Since Moloch and Drahmin are Oni-Demons, Sareena could be a Succubus-Demon. Like there are certain species of Demon.

However, I see your point. Having her be a succubus could potentially make her too similar to Nitara or Shang Tsung as I pointed out. I could also see some fans then accusing Sareena of being a Morrigan rip-off or something.

They'd have to make sure they do something different with her.

The big difference with Sareena is that we don't know if she's good or not. She's a demon. A DEMON. That typically sets of alarm bells in any guy's head. I have a little-known interest in demonology, and female demons typically always play the form of the slave or the seductress (sometimes both), tempting men to the dark side and their own demise with no regret. Succubi are no different, very violent, very sexual demons who visit men in their sleep and steal their souls through intercourse. Sareena certainly seems like she fits the type for a succubus, however, she is unlike any other demon in that she chooses to retain her human form. Someone pointed out, she wants to be human, much like Ashrah wants to be human. She spent most of her life being Quan Chi's slave. I read somewhere that she and the others were both sexual slaves as well as personal assassins. That means she has only truly known the bitter taste of subjugation, much like Li Mei, and, like Li Mei, decided to do something about it, and it nearly cost her her life. That encounter probably changed her life forever, either positively or negatively. She'll either grow bitter at her own optimism and follow a dog-eat-dog mentality, or she'll move on and try to find happiness in the kindness Sub-Zero has shown her. No demon has ever lived among men, and she is the first of her kind to do so (suppossedly), and I can see that no matter what path she chooses, it will be a hard one. If she sides with good, she defies her origin and faces the mistrusts and prejudice of Sub-Zero's allias, but if she betrays them, she gives up everything she has worked for. Besides that, her demon persona still lies in her soul, a darkness that even with her best inent, could prove deadly to her allies. Sub-Zero must know what he has gotten himself into. He may be kind and a bit naive, but he's experienced enough to know about her from his brother, and I am so very much looking forward to how their relationship pans out. Either way, it's not gonna be easy, and that's what I love about this character. Well, I'd love her anyway, but that's a different story.

I dont much like the idea of Sareena becoming a succubus. Seems a bit over the top to me.

She will have her costume from MK:Mythliogies but remeber Noob Saibot was the Sub-Zero she saw not Sub-Zero the younger brother of Noob Saibot. Plus that is how Noob Saibot got killed was by her betrayel and then Scorpion had killed him so I bet the younger brother of Noob Saibot will be a enemy of her and probaly try to kill her along with Frost.

Sareena had nothing to do with Sub-Zero becoming Noob Saibot. After she helped him fight Quan Chi she was banished to the 5th Plane and was trapped there until MK:DA.
And why would she want him to become Noob Saibot anyway? She hated the Brotherhood and wanted to escape the Netherealm.

I don't know but who knows she might be evil!

To MKKitana: Cool Sareena drawing though I think her breasts are a bit too big and her lips are too puffy. Other than that, good stuff.
