In MK3, Cyrax was in fact my favorite character, and it was because of that cool, green net of his. That net was kind of like his trademark as a cyborg (Smoke - underground punch, Sector - torpedo). They should bring it back for MKArmageddon.

give him back the net. take away blade thing. Sektor has no soul. Smoke his on his way to finding it and becoming human. cyrax already has.

Cyrax is one of my favorite characters too.Well in Mortal Kombat Armageddon his costume better look different then Sejtor.

Why didnt you like that special move? I thought it was fantastic!!! It was an amazing power for Cyrax imo.

The spinner kick? LOL, well I don't know man I never used it.I found it being hardly effective as a move in battle.
I don't know, when I first saw it man I thought it was an ice skating move where you spin on the ice on one foot lol.
I never liked the move, I thought his meat grinder move was better but that's my opinion man.
If he has those moves again in MK:A, I'll still play him but just give him back his NET and make his bombs better.It's 3D now so people can just sidestep them, so they have to make them effective along with his Net in this one like they were in MK 3/UMK3.

I just got done playing UMK3, and those moves come in handy...and part of the reason is because they are easy to do on the fly...and man it took me awhile to get used to UMK3 again, I got my ass whipped as soon as my first match started...forgot about how they can run...Kitana ripped me to shreds...lucky for me, i remembered those moves, and went undefeated until Kabal stopped me deep into the game...MKDA/MKD, to me, made it hard to do anything, being inresponsive...so they need to make the Net come back, along with the Teleport Uppercuts (which Smoke still had)...but they need to be easy to access...its bad enough they have major penalties if you miss, or they block...

I think Cyrax is kind of a cool character. I'm just going to break it down like this:
Look: I actually like his MKDA look and I hope he'll have it in MKA. For his alternate costume, I kind of appreciate the unhelmeted look, but the costume itself needs improving.
Gameplay: He seems to have been a low-tier a lot, if not, in all the games he's been in. I hope he WON'T have Ninjutsu as it doesn't fit him. As for Sambo, well...I guess he could keep it. There are 3 different types of Sambo and Combat Sambo would suit him best so he could have that. For his weapon, well, I guess he should have the Pulse Blade as long as it has combos and is useful overall without it being cheap or overly cheap.
I hope he'll have all of his special moves. The bombs need to be more useful as due to things being 3D, they are far less useful now. I think that to give them some usefulness, the explosions could spread out more. I really hope to see his Energy Net return though with MKA being 3D and all, it needs to be made in a way in that it's useful but not cheap. I was kind of thinking of a good recovery time after firing the net, but that might make things rather cheap. Either way, I just hope it returns and has some usefulness to it.
Storywise: To be honest, his story has been kind of mediocre, and the main reason why is due to the lack of fleshing out his backstory. We need to know more about him and his past as well as his relationships with Sub-Zero, Sektor, Smoke, Older Sub-Zero and the Lin Kuei in general. I think Sektor and the Tekunin should be the main part of his storyline.
Fatalities: Although they were silly, I did like his fatalities from MK3-MKT. I really loved his MKDA fatality and I hope he'll have that.
Overall: I think Cyrax is a cool character with some story potential. Maybe he even has potential to be in the next-gen MK games due to him being a cyborg and all. I just hope that he'll get better treatment this time around.

Yeah, I hope one of the cyborgs live.Hopefully, if all 3 of them die especially Cyrax then that will freaking suck lol.

Cyrax has indeed have always been low tier, but imagine if he's higher tier in this one? lol.
First off, MORE people will use him especially online if that's the case, second his Net and Bombs like I said have to be more oldschool like and NOT slow because of 3D.They should make his Net come out at the speed of Dairou's fireball in Deception, well that might be too fast lol.But you guys get the point, nothing slow like Ermac's fireball in Deception.That thing was pathetic lol.

Note:his weapon should also be a plasma sword like the MK:DA but only faster and NOT a light saber, different then that.
Cyrax also should have a new move replacing his spinning kick move.

I don't find them silly at all (Besides his Friendship, but it's still my favorite). I think he has some of the best fatalities in the series.
Especially the Helicopter Hair fatality. If he doesn't have that, it'd better his MKDA Fatality.

Yeah man, think of the possibilities with Cyrax's fatalities? lol...the ideas make ya say WOW.
Especially if it's with their special moves which Boon did say you'll be able to do hehe.

For the record his Friendship was one of the best IMHO.

I would love to see his Self destruct fatality back. It owned in the MK3 series.Also one of my favs fatalies of all time.

The helicopter one was just cool...there were definitely more sillier ones then that (Jax for example)...plus it puts an emphasis on his trademark hair
His animality, as much as I liked them for entertainment purposes only (really im glad they are gone)...is IMO BY FAR the best in the series...
Again, needs his net back, needs his story improved, and his outfit needs to lose the button red/yellow/green colored belt---the arm is fine, but the belt is annoying

To Ninja_Mime: Well...ok...the self-destruct one was more serious, but the Helicopter Spin was to me a bit silly though I still liked it a lot.
You know, maybe he should have flight abilities with the helicopter blades coming out of his head...

I would like to do this in MK:A with Cyrax.Say he has his wires or what ever back again as his weapon, I would want to spin his head so that it chops off my opponents head, then have Cyrax kind of go on his knees and chop his opponent in half literally, then have his head stop spinning then have him go into honor stance with his hands like meeting his hands together.
That would be nice if I could do something like that.

Yeah, don't forget his infamous Bombs lol.Those were another one of his trademarks hands down.The Net is awesome though, he MUST get the NET move back.
Question is, what about his teleport guys?
I noticed not many people have mentioned that, should he get his teleport back or not?

Teleport would be nice, but a lot of them are messy with the exception of Raiden's IMO.

Interesting take on it, I know what you mean concerning some of the teleports in Deception but I have always loved teleports hehe.

Only reason why I'm asking you is because most oldschool Cyrax fans like myself were disappointed with the revamped Cyrax for MK:DA.His bombs sucked, had no teleport, no net and just was overall bad tier wise and play wise.
So, I was wondering if you ever played him in MK 3 ever.He was awesome in that game, then when MK:DA came around he was meehhh.

Oh yeah, ive played just about ever MK game to date...with the possible exception of MK: SF. I just think that DA's cast was a little mixed up as far as selection goes, but Cyrax proved to me that he really was tough. MK3 showed that he had a lot of potiental besides being a swap and I think DA proved he could fight too. I mean, how cool is it that he beat Reptile? Although, I agree I was saddened to see his moves taken away...but I like the meat grinder.

Interesting, yeah his storyline is pretty unique for the most part.Reptile is cool to, I found it interesting how they mixed up Reptiles storyline with Cyrax's.
I would have never have thought those two of all all characters would meet in battle.
I think he was better in MK3/UMK3/MKT then he was in MK:DA and I have a feeling he will be awesome hopefully in MK:A.

I really hope Cyrax goes rouge. Him on the special forces to me isn't fit him at all. Leave the special forces to Jax and Sonya. To me he would be a much better character if didn't really belong to either side. One of the things I like about Frost that she is a loose cannon, in terms of storyline. For me that is what keeps her interesting, same with Scorpion, and even characters like Sheeva,cyber ninjas in the MK3 series, and a few others. Cyrax on the special forces to me seems like "Cyrax former badass, now special forces good too shoe". Just my take.
Overall I think it is better in general to have their own things going instead of them joining "clans". That is what alot of MK characters have been doing since MK4. Thats too easy and boring for someone to join a side. Its better to make them have their own personal objective, in this case be the champ or to get to someone for whatever reason.

I was a bit thrown off by Cyrax joining the SF as well, but I summed it up like this.
