2 Earths = 2 worlds? Mortal Kombat's and Primal Rage?

Dunno but seing the animals and the RAGE thing plus the rumors of this being a VS game...It might not be too far off... :(

Midway owns primal rage and it did feature fatalities.

i'm guessing on April 1st, Boon will announce that it will be an MK versus Primal Rage game. April Fools anyone?

I don't think it's likely the crossover will happen but I don't get why dinosaurs are incompatible. MK already has some characters in itself who don't seem to be a 'pair': e.g. a beautiful Edenian princess vs. a chubby cop with a baton... Or a Greek myth-inspired centaur vs. a cyborg...? Really, in that hash of disproportional beings, races and contexts, two or three dinosaurs wouldn't make difference at all.

LOOK, in no way is this trying to hint that this game will tie with Primal Rage.
We all know that Rage has some ties with MK ( and I mean the emotion !)
think about it; it could be part of a tag line in a trailer ,a feature in the game or even part of the sub title. Stop assuming this game is going to be a damn GOOF.
Why would the MK team put in two years of effort into a game that's going to be a goofy VS game.

Agree 100% with Onaga. MK will never become a VS game eeeeeeeeeever! MK8 will be really spectacular...well, I can't really say that but it will be better than MKA.

This would suck. The whimsical nature of making a crossover throws off the whole "new, serious MK" angle. From a set-up point of view that is. I'm sure it'll still be great to play if Midway are doing a complete overhaul, and that's what counts in the end.

I would like to see a new Primal Rage game though...but not with MK8. Maybe the original Primal Rage will be playable as a side game in MK8. Kinda like that old Midway game on MK3(I think, maybe MK1)

I 100% agree. MK Vs Primal Rage. Very bad Idea. Tho it did have "fatality" in Primal Rage as well as in War Gods. Both would be Really Bad for a cross-over for MK. Seperate, would be a better idea. Bringing Both Primal Rage and War Gods to the new Gen. Consoles and making them better then they were originally. I wasn;t much of a fan of P.R. and War Gods was kool only cuz it reminded me of MK.

Assuming RAGE and the animal pics are an indication of Primal Rage (which may or may not be the case), there's no reason why Midway would have to follow the Capcom blueprint and make it non-serious.

None of the storylines in MK have been believable. It's a fighting game... There's no reason why the story can't simply be something about merging realms and the PR characters entering the tournament for their realm. While the characters were giant size in their realm, they could find themselves normal height upon stepping into Earthrealm/Outworld/etc.

You also have to consider the fact that since there hasn't been a PR title in years, there's a very good chance if any PR stuff makes it into MK8, Boon will completely overhaul it to match the new fighting engine. So you wouldn't have to worry about the PR characters not matching.

Honestly, is a PR character really all that different from a revamped Moloch, Reptile or Goro?

Very good post. Makes a crossover sound actually interesting. Even though i would still prefer the two series remain seperate.

Primal rage is a bullshit game, outdated, bad, with stupid story, characters and lacks feeling.

MK, we all know how great is (assuming some of us are not on this forum just because we have too much time on our hands) so I don't wanna state the obvious.

How can Midway combine one crap old game with MK? He actually said, that the next mk, which is MK8 is gonna be completely reinvented, DARK, GRITTY and most important SERIOUS!!!

Someone said earlier... and I fully agree : If Midway makes a crossover between PR and MK, it means that they don't have imagination (or any left). Altough I know it's not gonna be a stupid crossover.
And don't be so harsh on MkArmageddon because it's a really great game. I hate all the nay-sayers who consider them so smart.
