well most if not all names(i mean names like michael and joey) mean something
so its not that lazy
infact most authors name their character like that as a show of symbolism and foreshadowing
like if u read a book with 2 brothers named cain and abel set in the uear 3456, u can already guess who kills who

Holy shit lol I spent a few days trying to find out where I had heard "Ashrah" from before. But to inform some Spanish People. Some name you claim to be Spanish are not Spanish. They exist in the Portuguese vocabulary, so it's a latin derivation form not a Spanish/Portuguese form.
so when you say Malvado, Borracho, etc. You're not telling speciffic Spanish words.

=)... i don't think anybdy in the MK:D board asked what the meanings of the character's names were. I just thought that well, if you guys didn't know, i'd post a little info. It's a break from those topics that keep on speculating who the SU's are gonna be and Reptile is the DK or whatnot.If you don't appreciate it, it's fine with me. I'm just here to give ppl that don't know what these names mean some info. At least we can also learn a new word or two in a different language. And the spoilers are, pls read below.

I don't buy the Havik = Hawk thing. Havik is an homonym for a synonym of Chaos, which is the realm he is from and represents. Plain & Simple.
Second, Raiden may be like a statute in Chicago. I wouldn't know, but he suspiciously looks a lot like a certain villain in John Carpenter's Big Trouble in Little China. Same big ass hat & lightning bolts.
Third, Ermac = Error Macro, which we all know, but thought I'd mention it.

Baraka is a indie art video that's a surreal compilation of nature footage and rips off Koyaanisqatsi.
