With MKD being online, i feel something like this will really help tie the kommunity together. A place to post upcoming tournies, big/small would be great. Also an official place to post all gamertags making it ezier to find players. IMO a forum like this would be alot more practical than a pocket kombat forum (IMO, that belongs in Classic Games), because not only will there be a huge appreciation for the MKD players, but alot of other users on here still play MK2/UMK3 via Snes/ Mame. ANy thoughts?

Mos Def! While we do have a single thread for our xbox live tourney, it jumps all over the first & second pages throughout the day. A forum specifically for tourneies or simple match-making would be awesome.

Also, I think it would be beneficial to have a fighters forum. It could have stickied threads for each character and general posts could just be made below. (This could even be made out of the MK:D forum when the game is released)
I think that would be better than a single 20 page high-level thread.

Yeah, I think we should get a sticky for an online thread. Instead of people making all of these threads and stuff about online play, why not just make a sticky? Easy as that.

Absolutely. It'd be great to see a board dedicated to online related topics. Tournaments will be easier to establish because people will know where to look so the turnout will be better. Plus all the tournament announcements won't clutter the MK:D board.

I'm with you RS. I think I have signed up for about 3-4 different ps2 tourneys but after about 12 hours, they are gone and forgotten about. I dunno if they could do a whole forum till V7, but a sticky thread atop this forum would be excellent for finding info on tournies and gamertags.
MrSchpmfut that is a good idea. I wonder how we could go about getting it implemented tho. But I would definately like to have a place to go and view strats on individual characters vs one long ass high level thread.

I agree, as it will be an huge part of posts the next couple of months, might as well give it it's own forum, lose Portable MK plz. =)
But the online players really need a place like that.
By the way, RS, would you mind pointing that thing elsewhere?

Hell yes...this is exactly what MKO needs.
Just make a Match Finder Forum, sticky all the XBL Gamertags and PS2 Nicknames in a thread.

We could certainly use one. It would make online gaming for both systems easier to do. We know immediatly where to come for Gamertags, and names. Also good place to find your friend from the boards. I say they make one.
To Reptilestyle, I think you should put something more catchy in the subject titel, maybe some capitalization and stars to grab attention. Only a thought. I support you 100%

buy the way i asked some of the moderators to stick my the tourny forum but all of them said the same thing,,,thats not up to them but they gave me info on who can do that and i send an email to the founder(i guess) and i got no responce back so i just gave up on it....hpoefully if enough members want it then they'll stick a members online for xbox and ps2
