I think that the a trailer will be released showing small parts of the opening, just to tease people. I'm also wondering if the first trailer that was shown of MK:Deception (throw down between Baraka and Mileena) will be used somehow or if it's only a promo, to get the hype going.

I may be wrong, but wasn't Rayden confirmed as a playable character during E3, or has that changed? And if he is officially confirmed, doesn't that kill any rumors of him dying in the opening CG sequence?

Not likely...supposedly it's supposed to be spectacular and worth watching before playing the game...so I think they may keep that under wraps until the game is released. But who knows? Weirder things have happened. *shrugs*

I'd have to agree. I don't think they will want this one seen before the game comes out. It'll help keep the surprises under wraps.

And I hope the Raiden dying rumours are false also. Kitana being kidnapped I can live with. That's as far as they need to go with it.

I hope that the movie isn't released before the game comes out in Australia.

As for Raiden and Kitana.
Raiden - I hope not
Kitana - I could care less she was horrible in Mk:DA

I thought he was too but now I'm not sure because I remember at E3 Xplay went and put a diary for each day I went to MKD and it said Raiden had his torpedo move back y would they say this if he wasn't playable ????

The E3 pamplet that 'confirmed' Raiden had a bunch of errors I heard, mainly typos, but it does place some question on reliablity. For all we know they could just be referring to the intro. I wish the MKO guys would/could post an image of the pamplet. Or if they did where is it?

The X-Play confirmation got taken down. Why? Maybe they mistook Ashra for Raiden. I know, but did they actually play the game or just watch from a distance. You must admit from a distance, with that hat, Ashra can be mistaken for Raiden and she does have a torpedo-like attack.

I wished Raiden was 100% confirmed, but until an actual image of him fighting one of the confirmed characters is released (hopefully one not seen in MK:DA) we can't be sure.

I am sure that the intro will leak just like the intro for MKDA leaked. If it does end up leaking like I am sure it will, I personaly will not watch the video. Just for the simple fact that it kind of takes out all the fun of buying the game and driving 85 all the way home just to watch the opening FMV.

kitana and raiden both will have significant parts in the game playable or not, they have always held there own in all the games. stories both significant. why would either be killed, which beggs the question if they dont die who will? who even says some one is going to die?
