my only dislike about this game is.................................
its not comming out till fall...
its not comming out till fall...
1. Pretty much everything new needs an option
Death Traps
- End Round
- End Match
- Off
"Impact Explosion"
- On
- Off
Blood (for reasons)
- On
- Off
2) Versus mode should have a one player option.
3) Certain elements seem lacking, such as still holding a weapon in your hand when you fall off a stage into a death trap ("crumbling pit" to be exact)
4) Movement (as in walking, not combos) needs to be a little faster.
That's really it.

The only thing I dislike about it so far is I'm afraid the gameplay will seem a little too similar to MK:DA. I mean, its very good, don't get me wrong. I just don't see any drastic changes in the actual fighting so far.
I don't think it needs anything more i just want them to straighten out the things and perfect everything is all and yes it is going to be exactly like Mk da just with alot of add on's charecters backgrounds fatalitys etc but i liked Deadly Alliance so this game is going to rule.

No Johnny Cage. The quest should have been a really
create your own character. Then maybe a little touch of realism.Like dropping your weapons if get hit off your feet an such.More wear looking graphics while the fight goes on.Long Live Johnny Cage.

My Cons:
1) Stage Weapons are bigger than a car
2) Death traps that dont kill
3) The Arcade Game (Main Game) looks like a MKDA add on
4)Even if Cyrax is playable, it'll probably just be the extra characters that dont have a story tie in
5) Kinda off topic... how come the people who went to E3 and played it havent told us what they thought of it. You would think they would let us know if we should keep our hopes up or if we're destined for disappointment like the majority of us were after MKDA was released... I think its common curtosey to give us their real impressions rather than just reporting the features (like every other site does), its not like they work for Midaway.

If the stage weapons are as large as cars, those are some amazingly huge warriors. Must be all them Wheaties they had for breakfast.
But yes, the moderators should make this an official thread, sticky it and make it a haven for all the people who come to bitch about a game they haven't even played. Then, if someone makes another "____ sucks" thread, it can be locked immediately and they can be redirected here.

My only real gripe is that i don't like the select screen one bit. I personally feel it's just the series' rejects in one game. I know a lot of you are happy, and I'm glad you got what you want, but I don't agree with it. Oh well.
However, I kinda believe that Noob Saibot and possibly Smoke will be two of those characters locked away in Konquest, and not actually on the select screen. That would make since about Noob, since he's almost always a hidden character, and just seems to fit Smoke for some reason. Otherwise I'm really impressed with the game, especially Chess and the death traps. It gives me new ways to kill people, and in record time!
Oh, gripe #2--no zomibe/ghost Liu Kang, please. It might turn out cool, but i doubt it. Please don't make him suffer. I actually liked him the way he was. (yeah, I know, I'm one of the few.)

thank you. though i am going to rent the game to see how good it is, and maybe buy it when the price is lower, i would like to see a better fighting engine next time. nothing big like virtua fighter, but something on the lines of Dead or alive and soul calibur. those arent terribly difficult engines, but they are smooth and simple and fun to play with. if deception feels like the same old same old and they stick with it, then i will keep only renting them. for them to change though yall need to voice your opinions. stop all this "all it needs is more fatalities and pit fatalities and my favorite character then it will be perfect". youve got what you wanting in this game, so next time lets start asking for a better fighting engine.

Yep.. the fighting engine. I didn't care about speed in MK:DA. The way the characters moved about the ring seemed realistic enough to please me. I cared about manual combos.. more variable combos.. some freakin' air game.
The moves in MK:DA were like set in stone.. and if you didn't know any combos from the list you were as good as dead.
MK:D is going to be sweet.. I know it will.. but I'm hoping they realize that they've given us more than enough extra content and now need to make sure the arcade game is stellar.

lol, that makes me laugh for some reason. I saw a little bit of the video and i know what you are talking about...that sword that Scorpion picks up is the size of a Giraff.

I made a thread about that before, cus I'm afraid it looks as though the gameplay will be very similar to DA's. BUT this wont be a problem for me if they give most of the fighters different fighting style - or keep the better of the 2 from Da and also have a new one.
Another complaint is I think they should have at least one classic stage from each MK game, although I think they are bringing back some faves.
Oh and the wait is long, but it just makes it that much better when you finaly get it - after playing months of the old games (MK3-DA for me) I will be super excited about getting MKD, I already am and there's still 5 months to go!
