To all who are listening, I'm going to say this once.

Konqrr has been right in every occassion so far. Therefore, his word is pretty much indisputable. Earlier everyone was argueing with him about nightwolf, and now the people are fighting with him about Li Mei.

If you people don't want to believe him, then that's your choice. But I won't let my thread be turned into the same old Li Mei flame war. I'm sick of it, and time will bring light to everything. Please stay on topic. PLEASE!

Sub Zero's appearance alone suggests that a lot of time passed. I'm guessing at least 1 year. The intro would probably explain what happened in that year. Shao Kahn is alive, DA is gone and DK has returned and is slowly rebuilding his forces but hasn't actually begun the invasion of the realms.

MKD will revolve around the OUTWORLD warriors and some earth warriors trying to stop the DK before he becomes too strong for anyone to stop him. Plus tying the ends of some character stories like Scorpion, lots of deception too.

My guess is that the DK will not die in MKD and will remain for another game or two. In MK7, the DK would begin his invasion and he would be so strong that the entire world must unite against him... Shao Kahn (stronger than ever) also returns at last to pwn the lizard's ass. MK7 will be an all out war kinda like MK3.

MKD is MK2, things are more subtle/dark and things are taking place in Outworld. MKDA is MK1 (hey even Shang was the boss). History is repeating itself.

Li Mei hasnt been confirmed and Mk:D takes place right after Mk:Da so there wouldnt really be any time for any real changes with her hair i dont think.

Something about subzero. I dont know about li mei, maybe her hair just grows like the natural womens hair does, but i think the dragon medalion is having an effect with his age. I think thats how it is, i doubt "time" has to do with subzero aging. As he trains with the medalion, his powers become more advance, and he begins to look more older, and possibly lose hair to.

Like I said, MKD's story takes place right after MKDA. We have no idea when actual Kombat begins. Also, Subzero has long hair, so that should be proof enough.

That's actually a pretty good assumption, one that would make a lot of sense actually. We have to remember that the Deadly Alliance is surely destroyed by the beginning of this game. Obviously it wouldn't have been easy and some people may have been lost so a bit of recovery time wouldn't be farfetched.

Another thing is also that this game appears to have a LOT of Outworld and Edenia based characters which would lead me to assume that while the majority of the Earthrealm fighters are recollecting themselves, the Outworld/Edenia fighters are trying desperately to stop the Dragon King or whoever from taking over.

Yeah i would agree with what the one person said about konqrr. Just because he says something and happens to be right doesn't automatically he is right about everything. Geez who ever thinks that is a loser. Anyway i do think that li mei will be back since i looked closely at some pics there is a woman in pink that isn't sindel or mileena. It could be a new person but there is a chance that is her even though there should be a good reason.

As for the the time passing, i think it takes place shortly after MKDA. You can't look at hair and say that X amount of time has passed. I also think that the medallion has some kind of affect on subzero.

kinda like how the Z warriors train a few years before the androids arrive in DBZ but this time it's after the villain(s) arrive for temp's concept.

The more you think about it, the more it makes sense for there to be a time gap between the end of MKDA and the start of fighting in MKD. If the fighting between the two games occured right after MKDA ended then there wouldnt be much time for character development or a more complex/immersive story. It is much wiser to give MKD a 1-3 year arc as it would feel more epic and real. Alot could go on in those years that can give Boon and Co the chance to develop and branch out the MK universe further, be it through unlockable krypt material character biographies and/or multiple MKD intro sequences in the form of fmv, art, text boxes and even cinematic in-game-graphic battles.

I understand what your saying, bro and it makes logical sense. They say that MKD continues right after MKDa. If that were the case, there would be no sense in changing the characters looks. The most noticeable of all the look changes is Sub-Zeros and that must have happened over some time.

Also, the story would need time to develop and since the DK is in there, he isn't just going to attack on being freed is he? He will wait and build up allies, an army and strength etc.

As for Li Mei, her hair as you said is a give away to time. But the time length could be anything. We just won't know until the game appears.

That's a very good observation. I haven't heard of anyone noticing this. As for the whole konqrr thing just wait untill E3 then we will all find out who it is.
