The topic creators explanation above showing what spam is , is kinda not really spam . That's an infinite :P .

There are different types of meanings of spamming and infinite . Spamming you can do a lot of that certain move but it could be dodgeable and could be considered a whiff move if the opponent knows how to get around it . Infinite is well unstoppable and considered cheap and there is either no way to get around it or using a breaker to only stop it and during the whole infinite process it was unfair since your lifebar went down a lot !

Anyways if you guys that signed up for the tourny are interested with communicating and discussing certain points of the tourny, there will be an IRC channel specifically for this tourny.
However this IRC channel will be available when we have sufficent amounts of players. Thanks to AceKombat for this idea.

Again the spam rule will go if majority votes for it to go, but the no infinites will stay as a primary rule.

Oh and Krazyie are you just here on this thread to annoy people or what. I would say you are considered spam.

@ Shazzem - I consider scrub misconception's, like your rules, spam.

@Shazzem- I have alot of experience running tournaments, and you need to understand high level play, because your tournament will include players from all levels. READ and UNDERSTAND: If somebody uses an infinite, the opponent doesn't stand a chance. If somebody spams a move, set of moves, or a character, the opponent still stands a chance. Just because some players don't know how to counter spam doesn't mean it should be banned. If thats the case, then outlaw everyone except Catwoman, lol.

Alright, alright, everyone except catwoman is banned from the tourny. No just playing.
Umm, yea, seeing as though most already disagrees with this rule, I will edit my first post and from now on it will be removed from the tourny.

Hope that influences a few more members to join the tourny.

A couple more and we'll start the tourny. Now since I will not have much time to play as 2009 gets underway, I will set a deadline for sign ups and all.

By January 5! 2009, if the tourny is not completely filled with 20 participants, I will start the matchups. The tourny will be started with the number of members that we have.

Not once did I use it in a degrading manner. If you choose to take it as degrading thats on you but truthfully who would want to play in a tournament organized by a scrub with scrub rules other than a scrub? Thats far from insulting its the truth. Good players wll laugh at a scrub rule like no spamming especially when the person who made the rule can't even define it.



Well the ground pound infinite is only guaranteed off two moves standing 4 which you can't combo into and a double hit during his inhale special. All other setups can be avoided without much trouble. This again is an indication of scrub mentality. There are ways around the infinite I should know since I consistantly beat infinite users in series usually at better than a 3:1 ratio. I enjoy fighting superman infinite users because they're much easier to beat than a non infinite user. You always know you're going to get plenty of free juggles as they try to do the infinite off setups that its not guaranteed on such as ff4.

True, I myself have no problem with superman infinites users, its much easier, very avoidable all you need to do is jump, then run in for a combo juggle.
Since much of the people who use infinites have no idea what the hell a combo really is they would only run towards the infinites all the time.

I'm not gonna lie either, I'v tried to use the infinite in the arcade mode, but I never could pull off more than two consecutive groundpounds followed by the promoves.

Scrub?
It wouldn't surprise me if you get knocked out the first round honestly. I hope you face me so I can show you what a scrub can do. I've faced three or four of the guys that's signed up, and it wouldn't surprise me, to see anyone of them beat the crap outta you.
Watch who you call a scrub, sometimes you are nothing more then what you think we are.

If you have a no spamming rule its quite possible I'll be eliminated first round due to being accused of spamming something. Most likely it would be spamming a juggle cuz they keep getting hit by it. Other than that not many in the tournament who have a legit shot at beating me even if I run Jax. If I run flash lantern or khan things would be ugly.


I'm considered the top jax player on ps3. I'm considered in the top 5 for green lantern on ps3 and 360. I'm considered to have a high level khan darkseid and flash though flash is a bit rusty and my darkseid skills are not where I think they should be. My record is about 1200-300 primarily against top players on ps3.

You complained about lex luthor keep away and called a lex and batman move unblockable both of which can be blocked. I'd say my credentials slightly outweigh yours.

You sure you want to make that claim. I'd enjoy matching up with you first round but I don't think it would be fair to the others you're essentially giving me a bye first round.

Oh, as I said, ranks does not mean shyt.
Anyone can beat anyone in any given game. That's what got you to top 5 isn't it, taking somebody elses rank?, then someone will eventually take yours, it doesn't mean anything, its only there for show.
