I agree, even though he is one of my favorite characters. He shouldn't have been in MK:DA, mainly because his bio was lame. He really didn't have a reason on being in the game.

I think his bio said something along the lines of him being mad with the way his movie was going or something like that. Really not a reason to join everyone else in MK:DA.

nah, i think johnny cage has potential to be a good character. its just that he's been doing the same shit over and over again. in MK2 he took mortal kombat seriously and ditched acting to fight with liu kang.

i thought of a good storyline for johnny cage if he were to be in MK6. since johnny cage died and came back it would be cool to see a grim reaper come after him and bring him back to the realm of the dead. raiden could be involved in johnny cage's story and he would leave the acting behind him for this game.

also why does he wear those glasses, ever since he came back to life from the dead he always wears them, i would think that there's something wrong with his eyes, that could fit in with the storyline, mabey he's hiding something...

I really hope Johnny Cage either dies or gets a MUCH better storyline in MK6. I've heard some good possibilities for his storyline in these forums; but still, I hope he doesn't return. In MKDA his plot wasn't even connected to anyone else's (unless you count Mokap, or maybe Raiden getting his help). He's completely unnecessary to the story.

I agree, although, in MK2, he was my favorite, I thought it unbelievable that they would even put him in another MK. He just did'nt fit in MK:DA. It would be even more unbelievable if he died AGAIN. But, his character really needs an EXSTREME (can't stress this word enough) makeover, or either just be completely eradicated.

I wouldn’t mind if he keeps being an actor and have all that Hollywood related stuff, but he MUST have a change. Something different. Besides, who says his story has been the same thing related to movies? Clearly, in MK Trilogy and Mk4 his bio is very different from the first 2 games.

Cage is simply a strong character in the story, Mk wouldn’t feel right without him. He is one of the Top 10 originals from the first game that make Mk be Mk. A very strong fan favorite that needs to stay along side the main originals and fight in the tournaments.

I have nothing to say after that, i feel the same of how people conviently forget scorpion's lame story and everything else you said is exactly what i would have said, you are good people but i must say that Johnny Cage is the man! and all who think different can save it because nothing you could ever say would change my mind he has/is/and always will be my favorite character.

Queve, I wholeheartedly agree. Nobody ever applies the same standards in criticizing Scorpion as other characters. Quite frankly, I'm sick of it. Scorpion should have been gone after MKII. Actually, he was, but then Boon caved to those crybabies who complained about Scorpion not being in MK3 and made UMK3.

It's these same crybabies who now hypocritically insult those people who refuse to play MKDA because of the absence of Liu Kang, yet they were doing the exact same thing 9 years ago when Scorpion wasn't in MK3.

I'm a big ass Scorpion fan. I played MK3 even though he wasnt in it. I ranted the moment I found Scorpion wasnt in it, but got over it. I enjoyed MK3 despite Scorpion's disappearance.

I'll admit the storyline is lame for both Cage and Scorpion and after seeing the original Movie I was shitting kittens to find it was Cage who defeated Scorpion and then Goro. But Scorpion's storyline is not why I play as him. I like Scoprion because in terms of fighting, especially with the individual fighting styles developed with MKDA, he absolutely rules. I love the classic spear and thought some of his fatalities were some of the best, especially in MKT.

I don't really care if they kill Cage off one way or another and the storyline isnt why I play the game. The only one thing that really gave me the shits was the fact that he has Jeet Kune Do, which was the fighting style developed by Bruce Lee. Seeing as though I won't play as Cage because he gave me the shits in the Movie, I guess I miss out cos I'm stubborn. Plus he used to punch ppl in the balls and thats not cricket. But hey the longer he is in MK, the longer I have to exact my revenge for the Movie by mopping various battlegrounds with his face.

So I suppose I would benefit if he gets killed off and Jeet Kune Do given to another character, perhaps someone new. But if I am to argue that Scorpion is to stay because like Sub-Zero, he is an institution, then Cage fans can say the same.

I don't presume to have the luxury of insulting players who boycotted MKDA because Liu Kang has left the scene. I also miss Kang because he was a cool character.

i can't picture mk without johnny cage. i played ever since the beginning when mk first started an i always played as him, he was a favorite along with liu kang and raiden. as the years went on however i began to like sub-zero. but it would be a real let down if johnny cage were not in mortal kombat.
