The main offenders in this case were Frost and Raiden.
I got through konquest in the end, and instantly forgot
about the kombos and never used them again. EVER.
The very thought of doing it again strikes fear into my
soul...
I know konquest will be completely different this time,
but the questions are:
Will the kombos be a little easier?
Should we have the option to ignore insane kombos?
(This is where you tell me I'm a wuss for fearing long
kombos

Thankyou.
I suppose the best way to do them is to read them
from the screen and press the buttons, but I am always
distracted. My feeble brain. I stick to simple kombos.

you can always have a friend do them for you, or a housemate. My housemate was watching me try to pull off something insane in DA and i couldnt do it...finally his frustration got the better of him and he angrily said, "shit, why dont you let ME do it?!?!"
but i feel yah, some of them are downright tought and require many tries...but the sweet reward of watching it magically happen is equals the torment

Yeah, me and my friend used to take it in turns to try and do them, and I often found myself shouting and
cursing in sheer frustration.
The scary part is, I hear that the kombos will be
HARDER this time round, and the thought makes me
shudder!....

Frost and Raidens branchers are easy! Yes, EASY!
You had to take your time with them and not rush them. Some branchers you could just dial the combination in and they'd work. Frosts Frostbitten combo and Raidens Sparky combo required timing. Both need slow button presses. The hits in Frostbitten sped up patrt way through so you had to speed up the buton pressing. sparky was always slow, but if mastered you could dial the button combination in pretty quickly.
Always start them slow and get a feel for the buttons. then go through the full thing and speed up or slow down accordingly. Do not rush. When done on Konquest, go to practice and continue to practice the combo until you can do it without fault and until you find your own perfect motion for it.

By the sound of things, if I get my ps2 online and play MK:D, I'd better watch out for players like tgrant.
I'd be in for an ass whoopin' for sure.
