If he were to return he should at least have the invisibility move and the energy ball to make him dominant again.

actually i dont think that reppy's ending happened. i think he'll prolly be a secret character in mkd.. i think that cuse of the attack by shang and quan that shao kahn was desparate and allowed him self to be converted into the drangon king..meaning shao kahn is the host body for the drangon king,not reptile.....

Yeah, just cus its rumored that Reptile hosts the DK doesn't mean its gonna happen. Since when did MK endings happen anyway?(Reiko anyone???) I hope that there are two different DK and Reptile characters - with Rep having a reptilian look and a throwback to his old ninja days w/ a mask and green ninja suit.

But if he is transformed into the DK, then hopefully ninja Reptile will be hidden in MKD somewhere...

Personally I hoping they decide to not have Reptile turn into the Dragon King, and have the DK be his own entity. Reptile has alot of fans who are going to want him back, and should the DK shapes up to be as good as his hype, he too will have a massive fanbase. This looks to be the case so far, so if the two can't co-exist in the same game there's going to be problems.

As for Reptile he, if he appears in MKD he should get his forceballs back. That one little addition would respark my fading interest in the green warrior. His invisiblity would be nice to have back too.

Oh, and if he keeps the lizard form, his third costume should be his ninja form (MK2 or MK4 style) just for the novelty of having it.

The MK team said that reptiles ending really did happen and that he really is the Dragon King how is shao kahn gonna be the Dragon King that makes no sense its possible that reptiles MK:DA ending didn't happen but its not likely...

i nener seen a problem with the fightying styles part of the gameplay in MKDA, just the special moves part.

well they wanted to have you doing and getting used to the fighting styles so they didnt give out good special moves that would make u over use them and not use the fighting styles.


well since teleport moves are back, and the famous ones scorps teleport punch, sektors telport uppercut, mileenas kick.

subzeros ice clone and vertical ice blast are back.

so i am now certain that kabal will have his topspin which i was worryeid he wouldnt.

so thats means in the next game that cyrax is in, i am sure he will have his green net again.

ashrah has the torpedo.

so i am CERTAIN that reptile will have his forceball and invisibility back.

i would also like the mk4 look, cause a ninja outfit would make him look the same as the others, unless he has his mk4 face with a mask over the nose to chin area with his reptile face from mk4 showing. and one without.

he turns more reptile as his race is gone, but if DK is his race, the storyline would be true in his ending in MKDA and he would be turning more HUMAN AGAIN, which means his next look could be a mk4 reptile.

i hate reptile in MKDA simply cause he looks like a damn animal.

i like human looking fighters not animals, unless the type of animal is a sub boss.

his fighting styles were stupid as hell and very hard to use especially when playing against someone like lets say, shang tsung who has simple press square button 5 times and thats his combo, compared to reptiles shit.

I would choose the dragon king even tho i think they're the same person simply because reptile's story and moves have gotten worse and worse over the years.

Reptile needs this kind of story resurrection or i wouln't have really wanted him back at all

What do you mean, dominant AGAIN? In MK2 Reptile is considered by almost everyone to be the worst character in the game, and in UMK3 and MK4 he's not that great. MKDA, however, is the only tim ehe has EVER dominated! He's top tier in DA.

Anyway, I don't strongly believe one way or the other that Reptile is or isn't the Dragon King. If not, I'd like to see him back. There are things I liked and things I disliked about his MKDA appearence. I liked the way his head looked (although it almost looked too "cute," in a way, instead of scary or vicious). However, that reptillian head didn't seem to fit on his still-anthropomorphic body (that is, take away the claws, scales, spikes, and tail, his body was shaped like a human's). I'd like to see him have slightly more of a dinosaur-like build, perhaps similar to the way his true form looked in the MK movie.

Well everyone I face in MK:DA that uses reptile agrees that his moves are not up to par as the other fighters in deadly alliance. He may have dominating combos and cheap pop-ups but overall he needs a mattitude upgrade!

I agree, ever since the first time i fought him in the pit he was my favorite. If played properly(defensive slow paced, and oppurtunity siezing) reptile was godly in mk2. In deadlly alliance his crab stlye was tame. I truely wish the dont make a mistake by not making him an unlockable character. We should all email boon and tell him to but the reptile back in.

Also, he should look like the mk2 reptile but with a predator esqu face.

Also, he should finally get it on with kameoleon(i cant spell)

Anyone else think that sounds bout right.

So when did the MK team confirm that Reptile is the host to the Dragon King? If it was in one of the videos then I wouldn't of seen it... but I was just wondering...

Although there are exceptions (Drahmin, Bo Rai Cho, Scorpion), special moves do not make or break a character in MKDA to the extent that they might have in previous MKs. If they had added Invisibility in MKDA, he would have been all but unstoppable. As it stands, he's considered by many top players to be the third strongest character in the game.

Did you mean his Crab style was "lame"? It may have looked stupid but it was one of the strongest, fastest styles in MKDA. Crab is what puts Reptile in the top tier.

I don't mean to offend anyone...is it me or is there a poll for EVERYTHING now days??!

But while I'm here...I'm sorry but I dun want/think that Reptile will return as a playable character aye. As much as I like him, I think this dragon king thing seems to be a good story development for him. No matter what way he's connected...whether he is in fact the dragon king or has some big part of it.

And...he ROCKED in MKDA!!! His fighting styles were perfect for him and his look was bad as! He probably looked the best he ever did. I do admit he was wicked as a Ninja but it was so new, and different his look in MKDA. And if you didn't notice he did still kindda have a ninja outfit (black 'V' vest and tassel hangin between his legs). I'm so glad they didn't make him like a real reptile/dinosaur (raptor dude in Killer Instinct)...he needed to have that human shape to him. Kind of paid tribute to his nija look while giving him something new and refreshing

AND just for the record...I think I could have thrown up a better costume than the one they gave him MK4...ergh...that was just wrong. Not good at all...

Nonono. Tame=areas slang word for awesome. Crab wass his best style. I agree with you on that on.

i think that dragon king took over quan chi's body in an attempt at taking the amulet back so he left reptile for dead but then he awoke in his mk4 state so he dorned his old ninja suit ( his ninja suit from mkda but he puts the face mask on) to assasinate the dragon king for almost killing him.

moves: a quicker acid spit more like the one from mk2, invisibility, force balls, and lizard ball

fatality: face shred then spits acid all over them then he eats the organs

I've been thinking about this alot and I had originally liked the idea of Reptile being the Dragon King but I realize now that Reptile himself would be lost in that transformation. Reptile has always been my favorite character I always loved vicious characters such as him, baraka and mileena. His MKDA look was interesting and I think he should continue to deevolve not to the extent of being completely a dinosaur but have a more overall vicious look.

I think if he had a classic ninja outfit on that is sort of ripped with HUGE 9-12 inch spikes going down his back and a more ferocious face I think that would work well. I think maybe he should be more hunched over alittle bit with a more muscular yet primitive build yet still retain a somewhat humanoid body form. I agree that his older moves such as the invisibility should definitely return but I think he has ascended from the palette swapped ninja days of old and is still a bad ass character. I don't think making him a more human ninja would be a good idea I like the idea of him deevolving but I think maybe his tail especially should be utilized in his moves. This would be ideal I think, make him more vicious and for once not working for anyone, sort of a wild card full of rage and you've got a wonderful character that transcends his older forms IMO.

I reckon Reptile is Dead. I think his ending happened, but the Dragon King didnt enter his body, but the energy released killed Reptile. It did say his body was basically mutilated. I'd only like to see reptile back if he's seriously upgraded.

I have no clue if the Dragon King is Reptile or not, but it would be sick to play as Reptile in his ninja form again.

I think too that he should have his forceballs and invisibility back, I kicked so much ass with him in MK2 and I'm hoping I could do the same this time around.

I don't think Reptile is going to be a regular character in this game. He's probably gonna be a really fucking hard character to unlock but who knows? For like 5000 emerald coins you could unlock him once again in the Krypt, or in Konquest mode you have to fight him in his classic stage underneath the Pit once again to unlock him.

I think that midway introduced a new reptilian to the game.. on the select screen on the right side you can see something reptilian like.. looks alot like reptile from MK4.. some say it's a shokan.. I'd say it's that rumoured Cobra character (and not Ben Cobra like some say, ken and Cobra are different Chars)

I love the idea of Reptile being Dragon King. The storyline for his character for the first 5 games has been that he's some evil dude's bitch. Now he's in charge, and it's his turn to order people around.

Besides a great story could be that Reptile/DK wants to resurrect his reptillian race. This makes sense because this has been his character motivation throughout the series. Perhaps only the strength of the head reptile (Dragon King) could revive his race.
