I think it's a cool idea, but just saying OH! OH! I wanna see him or her really shouldn't be enough! The MK Team might say, "why this character?" I would like to think that a detailed explination other than the standard "because he's so cool!" response might actually consider a charcter for inclusion in the game. So I'm just gonna pick one and plead my case fot that character.

Along with Quan Chi as being one of several interesting characters to come from MK4, Kai also stood out to have gerat potential as a strong character.
The fact that Rayden thinks highly of him is an indicator of the confidence that he has of Kai. Of course Rayden has mentored the other earth realm warriors at one time or another, but Kai's ending resembled Raydens relationship with Liu Kang in a way. Rayden's relationship with members of the White Lotus Society has brought forth great fighters such as Liu Kang and Kung Lao. If this is so, then why not have Kai return stronger and more determined?
To be honest, we've seen quite enough of Jax, Sonya and Kano to last a life time. They don't have to be killed off, just I think it's time for them to watch from the dugout for a while. Really? How much more can we stand Jax and Sonya trying to kill Kano. I mean if Whitney ain't gonna leave Bobby Brown, then Kano isn't gonna get caught any time soon! If nothing dramatic is gonna happen in that little saga then why continue into another tournament?
With those three ridding the bench, there's two open spots on the earth realm roster and I believe Kai has the ability to fill one of them. With a change in his appearnce and a strong array of styles, he can become a calssic character just as Liu Kang and Kung Lao have become.
The three styles I would give him would be Wu Shu, Kickboxing and Staff or Tiger Fork.
His Wu Shu style should have a wive variety of techniques from the Crane, Dragon, Leopard, Tiger and Snake styles. This would ad to his ability to be versitile in his attacks in this style.
His kickboxing style would make use of his ability to move around the arena. Lots of feints and dodges would make him adept at movig inward or outward to give him distange from an opponent or to nullify the attack of an opponent while movig in. His punching and kicking combonations would give him a vauable resource of high and low attacks that would keep opponents out of their attack mode. Kai would frustrate his opponents into making them play a guessing game of "where is the attack going to come from next"?
I'm torn having him use a staff or a tirger fork as his third style, so I'll speak on both.
His Staff style, incontrast to Rayden's Staff style would have more fluid movement to it. Rayden's staff style was more japanese in origin. Kai's staff would have more motion to it. The fluid movement accompanied by pure blinding speed and variety of attacks would make his weapon style second to no one's.
His Tiger Fork style would not be as fast as his Staff, but it would give him great range on his attacks. Also, he could use the fork head to block and trap an opponents weapon attack by pinning their weapons in the ground so he can gain the advantage with a strong punch or kick.
And possibly as a bonus, (this could apply to all characters) if kai were to impale his opponent, the opponent would not be able to move around as easily or to jump. This would keep an opponent grounded due to their injury and give the other another logical advantage. I mean you impale someone and he/she is still able to jump? Yeah right!
Well, that's my case for Kai.

AND ASSUME that they came to you early in the MK6 development and asked for your FIVE favorite characters - BY ALL MEANS, VOTE for characters who've already been announced if they're a favorite!! At the very least, it will show the MK team they're on the right track in terms of fanbase favorites. And for those named who aren't confirmed yet, maybe we'll help sway their decisions if they're on the fence with a couple...
