I was really annoyed in DA whenever you would decapitate someone or smash them into the ground and parts of them would explode into little popcorn bits. Very annoying. I hope this doesn't return in MKD at least in the decaps. I know it's there in Hotaru's fatality. URG... What does everyone else think?

Well, part of me hates the bloody popcorn and part of me thinks it's necessary.

It makes sense to have crushed and mangled bits of flesh and such if a person were to have their head completely destroyed but DA went overboard with the stuff.

i agree, but with scorpions old fatal, having the poprcorn bits fly off the skull was just COMPLETELY dumb to me. I don't mind if they are present in the smashing fatals just not the decaps.

I thought it was pretty much stupid...there was WAY too much popcorn bits in the game so...I agree with both of you!

Better not. That pissed me off. That looked like a lazy way out to do a fatality to me. Get some detail this time and show some guts and bones. Maybe some spackled brain matter for good measure.

I rather liked it. It remained true to the supremely violent, yet ridiculously over the top kills from before.

I'd rather have unrealistic amounts of blood gushing out of a combatant, and have it M, than realistic amounts of blood and gore and brain matter and have it AO.

they did upgrade it. if you look at the video where hotaru was doing his fatality to ermac, you can see bones flying everywhere.

And in Ermac's fatality, after Baraka gets smashed, you can see his rib cage and guts! wink

Yeah, I definately prefer the MK2 style 'guts and bones' to the MK:DA 'stupid flesh ball things'. If they would have used them in moderation, I wouldn't have minded so much, but these were used in an overkill kind of way in which it wasn't even cool anymore. I think that if small flesh chunks were used in conjunction with the guts and bones, we coudld have some beautiful stuff. Another thing that bothered me from MK:DA were the red blood chunks used with someone like Reptile. If you're going to change blood color, at least go all the way. The same thing goes with skeleton types.

MMM..Popcorn Chicken.
The popcorn-alities should go.Fatalities should be more relevant to the character, such as sub-zero's should have at least one "cold/freeze" fatality,Raiden's should relate to thunder and lightning. In the same way the others should have fatalities that would be only suitable for them.
