Ok. Now, this is kind of old, so if there's already been a thread discussing these two in this particular context, I apologize. It was mentioned in the prison thread earlier, created when the last of the Gamer's Day videos were released, but I felt that the matter itself needed specific attention. Hence this thread.

I apologize before hand as I do realize that "_____ is a hidden character because..." threads are very redundant, but I actually believe I have decent proof, not a thirdhand report from a Gamefaqs user who's supposedly seen a guide that apparently doesn't exist.

My personal view is that Sektor and Cage look different, Sektor being an upgraded version of Cyrax's MKDA model, and Johnny Cage's MKDA model having undergone a graphical change.

First off, Sektor. Let's look at Cyrax's MKDA model:



Now, compare it to this:



As people have said, the legs are different, but only slightly. It would appear that his shins have some sort of strange green attachment to them. But what fascinates me is his general stomach area. Rater than it tapering down into a slightly narrower waistline, it looks as though he's got some sort of white attachment there. What that is is anyone's guess, but I'd wager that's where he fires homing missiles and so forth from, rather than his chest, as they used to.

Now, to Cage, MKDA model first:

Several people have said that that's just his MKDA uiniform, but I think not. Cage's pants in MKDA ended just below the knee, and his shins and feet hand bandages, whereas in this pic, the pants clearly taper off into white sneakers. Even with such a low quality picture, I think it's easy to see that he's got no bandages, and his shins aren't even exposed. But he does seem to have is MKDA 'champion belt' on - a sign that they've simply improved upon the old. I think they've fused his MKDA outfit and his MKII outfit into one.

Now, it's arguable that they could have just decided to update their images for the sake of them looking better in Konquest, but it's also debatable. It could really go either way. It brings the question to mind of why Jax hasn't been updated for Konquest at all, from what we've seen, and they have.

Perhaps I'm being too optimistic, and stretching here. But that's just my two cents.
