Anyway, I (for some reason) thought that the friend codes were only for the game itself (different games, different friend codes is what I thought), I did not know that it was the DS itself that had this feature.

What else can you do with friend codes? Goto chat rooms with them? (I did on my friends DS without wifi or friend codes)

I think what he's trying to say is that few players here know how to really play umk. The 3d games being all the rage now (i think they're garbage) combined with half the scrubs on this site thinking fatalities, storylines and minimal garbage like that is more important than actual gameplay, (not saying this is you necessairly). It's just sad to see how backwards some mk player's priorities are.
OK so maybe I should have posted this in another forum, whatever, the point is i'm trying to get friend codes of GOOD players, so when I turn the ds on i have access to a network of people that are worth playing.
Maybe i'm just on the wrong site, i dunno.

i play umk3 and i wouldnt waste a dollar to play on ds, buy an fn 360 people.

mkf u have been saying ur getting a 360 for over a yr now, casue u havent been able to save up. but yet u can go blow 30 bucks for umk3 for ds on release. if money is such a big issue that u cant save 400 dollars in a yr, how can u go out and buy a game like that.

sounds more like u can get a 360 but choose not to. im guessing when mk8 comes out u will have a 360 by the release of mk8...

Yeah man, totally agree...sadly some people on here won't ever get it though(not necessarily referring to Xbox forum guys) just generally speaking. I've been preaching that for years on here ^^ about "worrying about trivial bs" that some fans judge the whole series on like costumes, voice....*rolls eyes* lol, gameplay should be the #1 priority...

UMK3 is one of the best MKs ever, MKA is a fun game but plays bad online. MKD IMO is crap compared but everyone has their own preference. MK:DA is the most balanced out of the 3d MK's, kind of like the 2D UMK3 in some ways....as far as balance.

Yeah, Red well you do raise a good point however once I heard about DS version since I have one already(when I was saving for a 360 putting some money towards it, I felt since MK8 is a year away that gives me more time so get the DS version, it's arcade accurate), and pay in full months prior or trade in credit for cheaper things 30 bucks is nothing...as oppose to 450+

There are ways believe it or not that hook up the DS to modifed SNES Nintendo Controller and play that way.

I was playing UMK3 tonight. I like the game but I'm so bad at it now compared to what I was like 10years ago. So if any wants a whopping boy, please invite me when I'm playing. I only use Kabal and Subzero for the time being but I will expand my roster once I have good hold of the 'D' pad and config setup for 'Run' and 'Block'.
