Maybe the MK Team just put it in as a joke to see if anyone noticed? Or maybe it changes from all characters in the MK Universe, or deceased characters. I don't think this passes as "proof".

Malebolgia's right, this is a very old topic. Back in May, I was convinced that Fujin was in the game. His name was thinly veiled on the start screen we've seen here, and he was in the prison. But I remember thinking that Fujin would be unlockable when I first saw that Jade would be playable despite being in the prison. Now of course, she's not there. Plus, we havn't heard anything about Fujin since then. Much like Jax who was, at the time, confirmed to be in the game by this website no less.
My point is that a lot can change or not change in four or five months. They might've thought that they could put Jax and Fujin in, only to decide that it wouldn't be possible. Maybe they're in though, who knows. I think one or both will still happen.
Still, I don't like anyone saying he's only in konquest or he's definitely in. People have been saying that about Rain as well. Rain? Where anyone gets Rain being in is beyond me.
As of right now, there is no proof that Fujin, Jax, Rain, Quan Chi, Shang Tsung, Kitana, Sektor or any other character is or is not a super unlockable character. Boon says that there are super unlockables, fine, but I don't believe for one second that anyone on this board, not one person, has that kind of inside information. We won't find those characters out until days, maybe weeks after the game is actually released.

Fujin is not in Deception, except in Konquest.

I liked a lot of the MK 4 characters. I liked Kai because he had a unique look, and the whole standing on his hands thing. Plus his fireballs looked cool.
Quan Chi was one of my favorite characters in MK 4. His leg rip fatality is still top five of all time with me. I liked that you could steal weapons, and the teleport stomp always cracked me up. It frustrated the hell out of my buddies.
I also liked Shinnok's story and name, but his actual executeion was terrible. He looked like a dead possessed bell hop. If they had made him look like the second movie version of him, kinda like a shadow priest, I think he could've been one of the best bad guys in MK ever. I still think that with a bit of physical retooling and, well, acually giving him his own moves, he could be a great character. I know, that sounds like a lot, but I'm talking about the actual character, which includes the story and the name as well. He's still got potential.
I especially dug Fujin. I loved pulling people up into a tornado. I don't know why, I just thought his moves were fun and more, I dunno, godlike than Raydens.
Don't get me wrong, there were the not so good characters. Jarek was basically Kano. Tanya had a bit too much in common with Kitana for me. The worst was the fact that Reiko and Cage looked exactly alike, except that Reiko had black eye stripes and different hair. It was bizarre. Kinda like Sub Zero and Shang Tsung in MK3 I guess.
Still, I actually liked MK4's cast better than MK3's. But then again, I'm kinda alone in that thinking. I never got into Stryker, Sindel, Nightwolf, Sheeva, Cyrax, Motaro, etc. Kabal and Sektor were the only ones I really liked from MK3.
By the way, this whole thread has to deal with the guy who dissed MK4's characters. I think that many of them would've been good for Deception, and I think that some of them will and should return in MK7. Again, that's just my opinion.

Fujin as a SU ? hmm, i prefer Sektor to Fujin. My that's just my opinion. Though i think Fujin should be given a chance to be a SU.

Fujin could very well be in this game, but I doubt it.
I like him and I think he has potential, but the team is probably saving the other classics: (Fujin, Stryker, Kai, Reiko) for MK7.
He will return, there is no doubt, and he could very well be in MKD, but I doubt it.

I am just figuring now, that since Raiden has lost his Godly essence, he will end up dieing at the end of this game. In that case, Fujin will be a Super Unlockable and he will take Raiden's place in the storyline in Mortal Kombat. Also, I know that this topic is old. But with the Super unlockable rumor circulating around the forum, I figured I would bring this topic back up as a possibility for him to be in the game.

Something tells me that Rayden will die in this game.... I hope not, but I fear he will die.

i think we should keep looking for secrets in the recent videos or recent main page pics or videos.

in the e3 mode select screen, realise the highlighted area?..like "Kombat", "Chess Kombat" etc...well if kombat i selected..it shows stuff from kombat in the are where fujins name is...so we know if he is in, he will be either in the prison like we seen, or a super unlockable...so when i get the game...i am gonna sit there and watch that screen and see if i find any names that are not in the prison or playable and if i dont, than i doubt hes in...maybe its just listing the prison people name?...i personally dont care if hes in...hes OK but i never use him...and i kind of hope hes not in so theres more of a chance for SEKTOR!...

Thankx you guys so much for the thread which i always brought up why fujin was in the main menu and i did NOT have a pic for it and i got my ass flamed like hell, thank you also for the picture, now i can explain now that i have proof without getting flamed.
Ok, raiden was suppose to die by th DA and fujin god of wind(thats why his name is shown in the wind) was suppose to take his place. But they were planning on resurrecting raiden for future games and the MK team said the hell with resurections, just dont kill off fan favorites, so they made raiden never die in the first place.
Chimera was rumored from a very heavy source some people say, and smoke and noob even had alternate outfits and even there own icon in the fighter select screen, they merged those two together and got rid of noobs alt outfit since it showed human skin and that has nothing to do with his storyline since he is a brother of shadow i think not human either.
The sub-boss thing is gone they tag team those two, they cut the new shokan, cut sektor and his clan from fighting subzero in the storylines, and they cut fujin and bring back raiden, and they replaced sektor with jade cause she was didn't even have a 5% chance of making this game and now she did.
Jade is now still in the prison stage BUT with her new 3-d look in the prison stage.
Kai got cut for the SECOND time, he got cut in MKDA also along with dariou but dariou made this game but Kai didn't.
expect Mk7 to have reiko, Kai, subzero, scorpion, and those are almost a 90% confirmed spot for MK7.
i am mad that sareena, sektor, the new shokan, and the rumored chimera were not true, they ALL seemed like they were gonna be my favorite.
If anything if they are gonna "fuse" or tag team fighters, they should tag team sareena with kIA, and jataaka, those 3 were always like bodyguards to each other, they always fight together and they always stick together it would make sense to tag team the 3 girls, one fighting style each and one has a weapon.
I also think sareena had gaulets as her weapon and now darruis has them.
ANOTHER cool feature that i talked about besides FUJIN and DECEPTION (by the way) being in the clouds, the clouds move from left to right of the screen then you will see the whole text by the way.
But besides that great find me and a couple others have spotted what makes out to be a tranparent predator, solid snake stealth blurry campfire look on one of the revamped fighters which we think is a NEW look for chameleon.
Yup, this is in the same pics with the E3 pic with fujin so whoever found this pic could find the other trailer, it shows ermac in konquest he took a red coin, then shuginko keeps running, he comes across a tree, and u HAVE to have 20/20 vision i swear, you wont even have enough time to pause the trailer you would have to rewind it 50 times, but someone is walking past those trees, shuginko looks behind it boom there goes a green coin, then he goes and talks to CLASSIC subzero, and classic subzero says "be lucky i don't slit your throat."
It is in that trailer, fujin and deception were a great find but this revamped new look for chameleon is badass also!!!!!
