Also on this Month's DVD is Ed Boon's guided tour through Deception, so I get to watch it on top quality on my TV

Really... I wonder if the US version will have a walkthrough.

Probably, all it is is the video that's been on the net for a long time, each version has been in the news on this site, so I guess all the mags from other countries will be able to get it as well.

What the hell are you talking about?
No 50-60Hz option? That's impossible, because if the game only runs on 50 Hz in PAl regions we are fucked! Than al the european can leave this game on the shelves. The NTSC versions always run on 60 Hz, that means full speed en full screen. But a PAL version normaly runs on 50 Hz. That means slower gameplay (33,3 % slower!) and most of the time no full screen. Nowadays developers put in a 50-60 Hz option so we can choose with gamemode we're gonna play the game in. Since the most televisions support NTSC (60Hz)now, it will be the best and easiest choice to play the game in 60 Hz. Looking to the quite fast PAL release after the USA release i can imagine that they don't have enough time to put that extra mode in.
If so, we will get a cheap rip off compared to the NTSC version with a much slower gameplay!

My mistake
The picture shows Baraka on the right side of the screen and Nightwolf on the left, but the health bars are the opposite, sorry about that.

Players 1-2
Memory Save 600k
Widescreen? No
50-60hz? No
Surround Sound? No
They seem to think there's no need for strategy in Chess mode, the only thing stoping a high level player losing is the health handicaps.

they might have played an earlier version of the game, it might be 60 hz compatable when it's released, the review will have been done atleast a month ago, so I'm thinking the version they reviewed was around 2 months before the completed version.

Deadly Alliance was 60Hz so Deception has to be.

At the begining of the article they say that the uppercut move is not in the game. Was it removed? It was in the earlier builds of the game.
Maybe they reviewed an early version of the game.

I think so, they probably meant that it's based on the Deadly Alliance engine so it won't return to the way the classic games were.
EDIT: The review is now online at gamesradar.com
